Yes, he never agreed Nepal is not second richest country in water resources but concluded that Nepal is small country with lots of water resources and in terms of ratio between water resources and land area Nepal is after Brazil in second place. I know I was a small kid, but the teacher was stubborn.

What a video! I have always thought our Nepalese education system was backwards but in terms of research criteria, facilities and infrastructures but you proved to me that our schools taught use even simple facts that are one goggle search away in a wrong way. With the ever growing use of the internet, book publication houses and their authors should follow them instead of copying the same old books.
Many parts of the Nepalese education system are indeed lacking of meaningfulness and the facilities are not well, but I don't consider these aspects as the biggest problem. The huge cause for Nepalese being not well educated are quite unqualified teachers, mostly promoted by private schools, who have way too much power while not having the goal of students actually understanding contents or having a healthy motivation to study, but to have a small fail rate and excellent marks to advertise with. The syllabus and choice of subjects makes the Nepalese education system very ineffective and doesn't even try the students to even really understand topics, but only makes them remember contents for the next exam. Students make mistakes, teachers make mistakes and books make mistakes, because that's what humans do in their learning process. While books and teachers should minimize their mistakes to not transfer them to the students, the students are the ones who *should* make mistakes in order to grow and learn things. But guess what: Not the teachers or books suffer from consequences of their mistakes, the students do, in Nepal often with physical punishments which only makes them study out of fear, not out of curiousity.
I will never forgive this nation and my parents for all the pain and suffering. Basically, From class 3 to 10, they sent me to this boarding school which was around 3.5 kilometers away. Despite i had a decent school at 3 minute walking distance. Everyday had to walk, only to suffer in a strict environment, where punishment was encouraged by head of department to maintain its image. Walking in a hot summer with a bag filled with 8 books, 8 classwork copies, 8 homework copies with one diary, a bottle of water, as despite being a well known school, it couldn't provide clean drinking water. Some how mangae to survive. +2 same story, joined a stupid college that just cared about practical files, had to copy&paste everything on file from book, just to get signatures done. I thought i got lucky getting a government college for nursing, but it only made me realise how poor nation we belong to. We were just treated as servant to work in hospital. The toxicity of hospital worker, seniors waiting every moment to shine, and show dominance, teachers cancelling classes made me quit. (2nd year dropout) The education of this nation is designed to drain your soul
In Nepal many parents seem to thing, that how good a school is is seen in how high the school fee is. Parents prefer schools with poor facilities, unqualified teachers and far a way from home when they have to pay for it before a governmental school with better facilities, higher educated teachers and in their environment. Why? Because things they get for free, these people consider meaningless. Coming from a country where the whole education system from class 1 to Ph.D. is free of school fees and at the same time has one of the internationally highest respected graduations, to see the circumstances in Nepal really hurts.

I have worked in software companies since class 11-12 and I have a solid experience of 4-5 years. But I am performing ridiculously in my academics. Sometimes I even struggle to clear 2-3 subjects in a semester. I don't know why I failed data structures and algo exams for 3 attempts but I passed each and every DSA interviews I attended.
