Great video Dave, lesrnt heaps as usual! Non stop fishing action too! That Cloud9 and Slammer rig you have looks awesome 😎 Cant wait to see conditions like that again!
Was this filmed overseas?? Ya don't get conditions like that in NZ anymore 🤣😭. Niiiice session on the hybrid contact SPJ mate love the detail of what you're doing. Also good to see ya back in the jetski from time to time haha. Those lighter 30-40g jigs were definitely doing the business eh
Thanks for watching bro, yup light jigs are the most fun when you can get them to the bottom!! I normally use Long Contacts, but I really need to learn the Hybird better and that was the goal for this trip
Thanks for subscribing, in this video it's about 25m, it depends on the drift speed, how much current, and how thin your braid is, if the conditions are good a 40g cast forward can probably be fished in 40m. But if the drift speed is fast I would use up to 170g in 40m too
awesome video man. good action on the SPJ. its always surprising pleasant wen u get hooked up right as soon as the jig hits the bottom.
Yeah totally agree, still amazes me how well some jigs work
That looks so much fun! Glass calm conditions too, which I had more of that here in Wales
Thanks for watching!
Miss those glassy calm days. Well done on the video 👍👍
Thanks 👍
Choice vid Davo, definitely a jig to use on glass days like that. Keep it coming mate🔥

@@FishoDavo we need to go for another session eh!
We sure do!
Awesome stuff davo! What primo conditions
Thanks bro, I'm missing it big time!!
Great! What depth?
Around 25 metres
What is the green ball just above the jig and what is it used for?
Plz and thanks
It's a fluro bead, I just use it to protect the first eye on the rod. Stops the clip or jig from damaging the eye if I wind it in too quickly
Great video i subscribed ,, im learning myself what water depth / how deep, were you using the 40gr jig ,and whats max depth whith the 40gr ? Thanks
