      So true man. Was reading anything I could back in the day to learn music theory and programming drums. It was so tedious but I enjoyed the process even though it took longer. These youngins have no idea how lucky they are to even be able to go to RUclips and find quality tutorials and interviews. This channel is and has always been dope. What a time to be alive.😎

    Thank you for this, I've just been winging it for the past 3 years without really knowing what to do, and it seems like with software like FL Studio and Ableton, all these samplers and plugins have so many knobs, switches and dials, it's incredibly intimidating. It's like you're expected to already know what these things do and no explanation or instruction manual or document is provided, so videos like this are excellent.

    • @theycallmeheat

    Thanks mate! Great explained I understood all and I am a foreigner! (y)
    Daw's are great - Samplers like MPC's are endlevel. And actually it depends if you chopp or take loops - if the sample is raw great than let it unscliced and take a nice loop on your drums (I begin mostly to always with my loops ). But if you have so many different instruments in that sample you pick them by chopping to assist them with effects singly.

    Thanks for the tutorials. I have a challenge with matching the BPM with the loop or sample. How can I achieve that on the playlist or on Edison or slicer?

    • @theycallmeheat
      @theycallmeheat  Год назад

      on the playlist just use the stretch knob in the sampler/channel options where you change the pitch. in the slicer just ensure your sample is looped correctly, you can set your beats (chops) to whatever you want, 16, 32, and so on. then it will chop accordingly. book a 1on1 consultation with me to get more in depth details about this and how to loop or slice samples in general.
