In this video we breakdown exactly how to connect a solar panel to an EcoFlow Delta, Delta Max, or Delta Pro. For purposes of the video, we only show connecting a Delta Max but they all connect the same way. Some might not be very solar savvy so we are here to help you try to improve that. First, THANK YOU!!!! Delta 2 Max questions: I have three Solaria 390 panels. 1. Should I use two (780 W) or three (1170 W) ? Will my Delta 2 Max (not Pro) spill the extra wattage or will I stress the system? 2. Can I go in Series or am I over the limit and required to go parallel. Each panel: Pmax 390W, OCV (Voc)39.9V, Short Circuit Current (Isc) 13.52A, Max Power Voltage )Vmp)30.6V, Max Power Current (Imp) 12.73A.
If I’m not mistaken, the delta 2 max has a maximum allowance of 1000w of solar. So if you are running more than that to the unit, it has a safety feature in it that will not allow it to charge so no it should not damage the unit.

Thank you, sir. I'm a noob to solar and was getting 0 watts of input from a panel on my Ecoflow Pro; the panel had minimal obstruction. As soon as you put your hand over your panel I had the ah-hah moment. Good to go.

Thanks a lot! Great suggestion! but we don't have any harbor freight panels nor suggest anyone buys them because they seem to be of not the best quality. If there is no MC4 connector on the panels we suggest that you cut the connectors off and add some MC4 connectors. From there you will be all set!

Waiting for my Ecoflow Delta pro to arrive with my two Dokio 220w panels. This video really reduces my stress level when I get to hook things up.. I'm only a little nervous about hooking the two panels up in paralell. Wish me luck.

Minimal and you will be fine. Keep it under 100ft

I need to buy a 50 foot extension cable for my ecoflow system. Are all the ends they place on these cables a standardized type? Or does ecoflow use a proprietary connector that requires me to buy their extension? It seems they only offer one that's 3.5M long.

Would love to see a video of you running 4 panels... I think 4 panels w/ my Delta Pro should be able to keep my 2 freezers n my 2 Fridges a running... I'm NEW to solar myself.... As soon as I get it figured out an Extra battery is next...
If they are 100W then you will probably need more than 4 panels. I am actually going to post a video today about wiring panels in series vs parallel where I use 4 panels as an example. Stay tuned!

Just picked up a panel it came with a single plug go figure then a adapter that will turn it into a Anderson plug any ideas

im running my solar into the delta on the XT60I plug as shown
is their a way to split or Y the same solar array into a separate charge controller then to a separate battery then to a inverter to also plug into the 3 prong 110 input electric port on the delta max
so off one solar array you can bring charge into the delta max by 2 different ways ..one the straight solar and at same time the 110 input through inverter
So can i hook 2 panels up to the ecoflow, ? If so how do i do that, looks like it only has one spot to plug it in.

Most likely series is fine but I can’t be certain without knowing the info on the panels

You can charge and discharge at the same time.
They all have the same connections. I have the delta max, river pro and river mini

My new pane initially showed 60 watts 2 days ago. Yesterday and today in full west sun...nothing. This is a brand new 220 watt eco flow solar panel and ecoflow pro. 😢 I'm still troubleshooting before I call the company.
Those are very nice cool but they build them water proof if you out rain meet you ok need to cover it up i build one water proof if rain come not have worried rain can fall on it nothing will do it
What if I wanted to buy and use a different solar panel,how would I know if it will work with the echoflow delta 2 or not?
All solar panels will work. Just make sure they have MC4 connectors. And also make sure they are within the voltage spec of your Delta 2

You incorrectly gendered the MC4 connectors. 😄(the gender is determined by the metal bits, not the plastic shroud) Also note the plus and minus markings on MC4 will be reversed on the delta cable because you must plug male to female and visa versa. With contradictory information, beginners may end up more confused than before.
Can you please explain further as I'm a newbie. I have one EF 400 watt foldable solar panel and 1 Delta Pro. Also I don't think the EF comes with an xt60i connector. What does one do to get one and is it worth it to convert from xt60 to xt60i? Thank you for any info you may provide.
@@fuzfire Ecoflow solar panel and Ecoflow Delta Pro. I think you are fine, but you could ask Ecoflow to be sure. That's the big advantage of a single source for your equipment.
The XT60 has the two primary metal contacts (pegs on the Delta end, holes on the cable end) that carry the power. On the cable end, on the outside surface (not the face where the holes are) between the holes on one side is a third metal contact used for signalling.
If you are not reasonably accomplished at soldering large wires to small connectors, you won't be converting.
For what it's worth, the only functional difference XT60 v. XT60i for my Delta 2 Max, is the maximum current the Delta will attempt to draw, either up to 8 amps or up to 15 amps. This means if your source is unable to supply more than 8 amps, it does not matter if it uses an XT60 or an XT60i.
With an XT60 or the DC cigarette lighter plug (which has an XT60i) the Delta will limit that input to 8 amps. The XT60i on the solar cable that Ecoflow ships (and probably this is the same one included with their bigger solar panels) is wired to indicate to the Delta that it is safe to attempt to draw up to 15 amps.
I was told by a couple people that I have to connect an actual battery to it too is that true?
All EcoFlow units have their own batteries inside. No sure who you were talking to knew what they were talking about
@@offgridstores thank you I have another question In an emergency it seems like I need more than what I just bought which is the delta pro and one 160 w panel. So do I need more of both? I am a single mom who wants her refrigerator and freezer on here and there plus my kids to not feel so uncomfortable being without. I am new to all this. Any help I would greatly appreciate ❤️
What will be if I connect 545watt solar panel (17A) to ecoflow delta 2 that supports up to 15A?
As long as the Voc is below the max Voltage input of the Delta 2 you will be fine. It will just pull the max Amps it can, which in this case is 15A
Does the cable come with EcoFlow or do we purchase it separately ?
EcoFlows no longer come with the Xt60 cable and it either needs to be purchased separately or it comes with their panels
