      Yeah, I plugged one 400 watt panel into my DeltaPro and so far it's pulling zero input of power. I would think even if the sun isn't super bright it would show some input, but there's nothing. Am I supposed to set the Delta Pro on a certain setting or do something else? The instructions with the Delta Pro just say to follow the instructions that came with the solar panels, but the instructions with the solar panels just tell you how to prop it up and plug it in. Why isn't it charging?

      @@kalilineaux9761 I am no expert to say the least. Just learning.
      I was really nervous when my 4 100watt panels weren't brining in but 22. Was freaking out.
      Then my grandson came.to check out. You must be using output from generator to get charge input from panels. Which I didnt know. Should bring in %80 from panels if not fully charged generator and or battery.
      I just received my first extra battery for the delta max. Buying alittle at a time.
      Probably not the answer your looking for.

      @@kalapedersen6180 mine started charging but the sunlight had to be VERY bright and direct on the panel. I didn't have anything pulling out power, but seems like the issue was that the light wasn't direct enough. It's hard to get it with good light and I kept moving it around.

    For those wondering. Series equates to higher voltage but no change in amps, add the rated volts by how many panels you have to get the value. Parallel equates to high amps but no change in voltage, add the rated amps by how many panels you have for that value. Series has no redundancy, if one panel fails in the whole circuit the good ones will not transfer power. Parallel allows redundancy, if one panel fails the remaining will still transfer power. So if you want to go series or parallel, first check whatever power source your sending the current to, some devices accept high voltage but low amps or visa vera. Verifying if parallel or series makes more sense for your usage before you just do it and end up damaging something.

She told me that I can use six 400w solar panels to charge my Eco Flow pro inverter but won,t tell me exactly which wire gets plugged into the next wire . I looked at the explanation except it does not show where each cable gets plugged into the next cable? This has been very frustrating for me because I want to make sure I make no mistakes. I caused $10,000 worth of damage to a system I had years ago and that’s why I need to be shown where each cable needs to plugged into?

    Riddle me this Batman:
    Why is the standard MC4 cable female end need a freaking tool in order to get it apart from the male end? Today was my first day attempting solar and I got extremely frustrated when I found out the female end of the ecoflow solar panel wires-MC4? (which have a VERY easy pinch system to disconnect) do not match the female end of the cable coming from my delta 1300. AKA the solar panels are extremely easy to disconnect by pinching them and pulling but I have to use a set of pliers and tear into the plastic tabs to get the battery female cable off the solar male cable. WHY does ecoflow mention NOTHING about needing a tool, and they don't even sell one? I figure if you need a tool to disconnect them it should come with the kit. Also, why not just use the pinch system that the solar panels have? Am I missing something about this as to why its so hard to disconnect???

    It makes absolutely zero sense to me the way the cables are labeled. The red cable has a + sign on one end and a - sign on the other. Same thing on the black cable. Furthermore, you connect a negative connector to the positive connector on the solar panel and vice-versa. Maybe it's a Solar panel thing. I guess I'm old school when it comes to power as Red always meant positive (all the way through the connection) and Black meant negative. Really not intuitive (very confusing). I plugged everything in (male to female connections, negative symbol to positive symbol) and held my breath. Everything worked fine, but sure seems dumb to me to label things all screwy like that.

    They really need to be more thorough with their explanations, both in their videos and in their product descriptions. Took me a couple days after ordering my 2 100w rigid solar panels to figure out that neither those nor the Delta 2 I ordered come with the MC4 to XT60 cable. I knew nothing about solar hookups before researching and ordering these items. I just ordered so am waiting on them to arrive. If they dont want to include the cable, I get it because maybe you already have one and are ordering more panels, or maybe you do not plan to use solar panels with the battery bank. Whatever, it makes the cost lower and cuts down on e waste for people who dont need the cable. But they need to make that more clear in the listing. Without that bit of information, I had no idea how the 2 panels would connect to the unit.

    • @OfftoShambala
      @OfftoShambala 7 дней назад

      I agree… they don’t explain much… even their manuals are totally lacking. Like there’s a solar capacity or something where you can’t use solar panels totalling more than 500 watts apparently. Even if they don’t want to include a lot of info in the printed manual, they could have better info in the listing or detailed manuals online that they could refer you to from the manual.

    For people with the delta mini and rivers series is the only way to get close to 300 watts solar input due to the 10 amp limit if your using ecoflow panels .
    Lots of no folding portables us 12v panels which work at 18.4 or less volts.
    Ecoflows 110 uses 6 working amps and the rivers and mini caps input at 10 amps.. so at most if you used 2 110s in parallel you'd get 180 ish watts at max.
    But if you put them in series you'd get 36.8v at 6 amps and 220 total watts total input.
    If you ran 3 panels in series you'd get 55.2v at 6 amps so you'd get 331 wats total put but cap at 300 watts in.
    Their 160 watt panel is 18.2 v at 8.8 amps so only using one would get you at most 160 watts in parallel but put it in series and you'd get 36.4v at 8.8 amps for 320 watts total put out.
    So if you need the 300 wats then remember to series the from ecoflow panels on the mini and rivers

    What if you own panels like rockpals or jackery? Are there adapters that can allow those (or other portable manufacturers) to be able to charge the ecoflow?
    Some people may want to buy the power station but already have panels just from other manufacturers (or vice versa wanting to buy the panels but have a different power station from some other manufacturer).
    Having the ability to cross connect allows people more flexibility when needing to replace hardware. (And you'll still make money either way).
    Lastly, has ecoflow considered the lithium-iron-phosphate battery system?

    • @whitestar73
      @whitestar73 2 года назад +1

      @Road Apes I just got the Delta 1300 model and a rockpals 100 watt panel.
      Here's what I can tell you so far. All solar panels use an interface called MC4 as their main connector. Everything else uses an adapter that goes from those MC4 to some kind of proprietary plug.
      The Delta comes with an MC4 to their interface adaoter which plugs into the solar charge port.
      The rickpals has MC4 as its main cable and an adapter which can also connect to a bunch of plugs that hook into other solar generators, but with the rockpals, you won't use the adapter that comes with it, instead you hook the rockpals MC4 cable right into the Delta's MC4 plug adapter.
      This morning I ran an experiment to see what the 1300 could do. I plugged in a 1000 watt coffee pot & boiled 8 cups of water in 10 minutes. That only used 6-7% of the battery (so I'm still over 90%).
      Tomorrow, I hope to try a quick solar charge experiment to see how much input it'll get. From other videos, the 100 watt panel might generate around 60 watts on a solid day.
      One other good point about the rockpals that I like is the built-in USB charge ports which so far, the ecoflow panels don't have (and they should for the sake of versatility)

    My question is this: how many feet of cord from panels to the eco flo unit? I mean I have been reading and I downloaded the manual and learned that the eco flo unit can not get wet....
    Therefore, the unit would have to be placed in my home and of course solar panels outside. How many feet of cord do I have? If I can't be charging panels as I am using device, what good is it? The battery will be depleted quickly with 800 watt fridge/freezer, and portable heater, 1500 watts.
    This 5,000 product will only run a 1500 watt portable heater for an 1 hour and 30 minutes. Lol
    So if I can't get long enough cables so the unit is dry in house, while solar panels are hopefully drawing sunlight. HELP!
