Dynamic seeds lets me change the RNG of the world throughout a run. I use this to fast track my cash, and getting enough museum items to unlock the Sewer.

Q: What/Why are you reading?
A: On Twitch I have a channel points redemption, where someone chooses a story that I have memorised, and I recite it. I have read these to my kids enough that I remember how they go. In this video I was reciting The Lorax.
Q: What is that grid of letters on screen?
A: A cryptic crossword. I have build a bot that runs it for chat.
Q: Dynamic Seeds?
A: If you enter a seed into the advanced menu when starting a new game, then go and load a previous farm, the new seed is applied to the old farm, changing the RNG. I abuse this to get 8 fairies, 896 potatoes, and a good run on opening geodes to get all the items I need.
Q: Why do you need the sewer?
A: That is where Krobus lives
Q: How did the fairy grow the Spring Seeds, why did they look weird, and why were they all Horseradish?
A: The fairy cannot target Spring Seeds, but Spring Seeds can still be grown by the fairy. I planted potatoes in the middle of the patch to give the fairy a target. Since the fairy hits a 5x5 square, the fairy gets applied to the Spring Seeds. The way that the fairy grows crops is to skip growth stages of a crop right to the end, where it can be harvested. Due to when the fairy hits in the overnight cycle, the code that converts the Spring Seed crop into a random Spring forage crop is skipped for that night, meaning the Spring Seed crop is in a fully grown and harvestable state that you don't normally see. In this state, harvesting it always gives a Horseradish, farming xp (instead of foraging xp), and the quality of the Horseradish is based on farming level (instead of foraging level). Since I need loved gifts for Krobus, this is a neat way of getting the 18 I need.
Q: How did you get so many potatoes?
A: When you harvest a potato, there is a 20% chance that you get another. If that roll succeeds, there is another 20% chance you will get another. this continues until the roll fails. The tiles I am harvesting keep on hitting this 20% chance until it gives 16 potatoes. The RNG for this is tied to the seed, tile location, and day. So as I go to a new day, I can change the seed accordingly to repeat the same RNG. This RNG for crops also repeats on the same day if you go left 11 tiles and down 7 tiles. This explains why I planted my fields so far apart.
Q: Why 3x3 fields?
A: When a fairy hits a crop, all crops up to 2 tiles in any direction are also grown. By limiting my fields to 3x3, it means that it doesn't matter which tile gets hit by the fairy, all of the crops will grow.
Q: Why didn't you harvest all the Sweet Gem Berries at once?
A: I was harvesting them on days that would make them gold quality, for a bit more money. I was trying to keep my money low so that I lose less when I pass out in the sewers. I forgot about the season transition and lost 2 of them...
Q: How did you pass out so fast?
A: Punching a chest uses energy. On 1.5 you can punch a non-empty chest and it will move tiles. If you put something on all of the tiles that a non-empty chest will jump to, it will stay in its original tile. I use torches to occupy the tiles as I can craft them cheaply and I can move through them. Also, by placing a chest on the tile that I spawn on, when I enter the sewers I spawn inside the chest. There is anti-softlock code in the game that destroys a big object on a tile that you happen to be on, but this is skipped for non-empty chests. This also uses energy when attempting to break it. By combining these strategies, I am able to use these chests to use up all my energy fast, warping me back home faster than I could run there.

@@BlaDeSDV Wow, that's awesome - as a kid I knew most of And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street but, shoot, it's been 30 years (or thereabouts) since I could recite any of it. It's amazing I could do that since I'm notoriously bad at memorization. Reciting _and_ doing a game at the same time though? No chance.

The ultimate test of whether or not you move in your sleep is to fall asleep with your laptop on your chest. I can safely say that with the 15 or so minutes I missed in my slumber that I did not move an inch. I can also say that listening to BlaDe recite a children's book is one way to ensure an afternoon nap.
Not necessarily. I actually move quite a bit in my sleep (have somehow ended up with my feet on my pillow instead of my head a few times) buuuuuuut if I use a weighted blanket or multiple heavy blankets then I won't move. So, since my laptop is a wee bit on the heavy side, I might actually stay still when I sleep if I leave it on me.

I've woken up with my pillow on the floor and my head where my pillow was. I've also kicked a wall in my sleep and punched myself in the face twice (woke up with a bruised face) so if I don't move in my sleep idk who does lol

I don’t move while asleep but I move while MOSTLY asleep but awake enough to know that I’m not asleep and I’d like to be. I move because I need to be comfortable to sleep, and since I’m not asleep, I’m not comfortable. If I were to fall asleep while watching something, I probably wouldn’t move.

Ok, I’m not sure if you saw this before, and I don’t want to spam you, but: I have a challenge for you: What’s the soonest date you can get all 7 Stardrops by? Hypothetically the soonest would be Fall 14, the day of the Fair. (I think that’s date anyway) Other than that, floor 100 of the mines would be easy, same with marriage, buying one from Krobus should be pretty easy as well, you’ll need to complete the museum anyway, which is one of the harder ones. Then there is Master Angler, which requires you to get to Ginger Island, going the Joja route would make it possible in time, then from Ginger Island, you can get Magic Bait to catch all the winter fish with. (I think legendary fish can be caught with Magic Bait?) You would also be able to get Deluxe Speed-Gro, which should enable you to grow the Sweet Gem Berry in time. (Maybe? Not sure of the exact grow time) So I think it’s all theoretically possible, but I’d love to see you do it. Or maybe this isn’t as hard as I think it is if you can control RNG.
Oh, sweet gem berry would be easy, just get a crop fairy lol.. and you could use artifact troves and a geode predictor for artifacts, maybe this is more a challenge for not using RNG, I don’t know.

@@I.No. yeah, she sells it all through spring and summer. I believe it's guaranteed every Friday and Sunday in spring and summer, and it's around 50% chance in fall. I don't remember in winter
It may have to be around Winter 15th because of the submarine fish (blobfish, spookfish, midnight squid) only available at the night market. (Unless you can use magic bait for them, too??)

Watching Blade play Stardew Valley is a bit like watching a some sort of heathen ritual where he performs bizarre actions and offerings to the gods, which then actually work and make him all-powerful. It's beautiful.

I have a challenge for you blade, I saw it attempted, but labeled impossible in single player. If anyone can do it, it’s you. Basically the challenge is completing the community center without gaining a single experience level. You can use the 99/100 xp points, but you can’t get to level 1 of any skill.
Argon matrix did this. I won’t spoil the outcome.
Haboo also did this and got the minimum possible amount of xp, but unfortunately I’m not sure he’s ever going to make a video on it

For the ancient fruit, wouldn't you just need a seed with an ancient seed artifact on day one, and a fairy that night? Not sure if one exists.

I was thinking about convoluted strats to get speed gro and agriculturalist. Still curious what’s that fastest could be without a fairy.
@@flinty8121 Ah! That's an interesting challenge. There's the speed grow bundle reward, that might be the easiest way. Though if you're going to get agriculturist, you may be able to get deluxe speed grow.

it might be possible to get a perfect catch if you have extremely good rng (key word: might, I'm only at year 1 summer in stardew)

Can someone do a speed run in this game but the objective is to reach max level for each skill as fast as possible. It’s would still be 6 category run, farming, mining, foraging, combat, fishing, and all. It’s would be really cool if someone did a run like that.

IIRC when you get a potato, you have a 20% chance of getting a second, then a 20% chance of a third, etc etc etc etc etc etc
