Capturing all the essence of a powerhouse ballad, Powell-Payne have written a song that’s packed full of raw power and emotion. The melody and lyrics tug well and truly into your heart strings (listen in and you’ll see what I mean ❤️🩹) The arrangement is slick and production by Dan Angelow & Pete Newdeck is sublime - the attention to detail is up there with the best of the best and I’m pretty sure that the likes of Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline and producer for FFrontiers Music srl would be very impressed. The harmonies are soaring, the ethereal keyboards at the beginning are hauntingly beautiful, when Powell enters with the kit, the song really does hit a tempo lift but yet subtlety is there to maintain the song’s character. Much can be said about the vocal power and presence of Payne’s voice and for many of us who have witnessed him live, we all know the command he has of his instrument and wow does he give it the full treatment on this. Now for the unsung hero: I guess I maybe a little biased as I’ve shared the stage with him a few times in various guises over the years, but let’s give you a quick background here’s a man who for numerous years fought hard to get his playing back after a life altering injury including a neck break etc, “it was like learning to play again” he said. On this stellar of a song Adam Davies Guitar provides a Solo that’s up there with the likes of Steve Lukather’s ‘Rosanna’ and Neal Schon’s ‘Faithfully’. In short: Powell-Payne have given us all a song to cherish that packs as much Hiraeth / longing as you can imagine and serves it on a plate of emotional beauty. 🫶🏼

From the catchy synth intro it had a hook in me, the vocals are extremely well delivered and the musicianship is top notch. Excellent effort boyos, I'm looking forward to hearing more from you. 🤘
