- Join us as we spend a day at PortAventura and share on and off ride footage from many of the major attractions at the park. Along with experiencing the many fantastic rides throughout the park, we also check out the many changes at PortAventura for the 2018 season. This includes Dance Revolution 2, a live stage show that's held in the parks largest theatre. We also share footage from the PortAventura Parade, various other shows and much more!

Your channel is probably the only channel on youtube where I watch the entire video or vlog from start to end. It's 100% amazing entertainment. I've been a coasterfan since childhood and I have always loved playing games like rct and there's just something about rollercoasters that I can't explain but I love them so much. I love that you have found friends to travel the world and experience parks with. I would love to do the same but I never talk with my friends about parks and coasters because i don't think they will care. I hope I'll find people to go to parks with just like you someday! Acualy, the real story for Furius Baco is that it’s an old catalan house with a vineyard (wich is pretty common in old catalan houses) and the son of the owner (the professor) likes to make expreiments and tries to launch the wine from one place to another and need people do as a counterweigh (that’s why it’s a wing rider). But his pet, (the monkey) who likes to destroy all of his experiments, pulls the wrong wrope and launches you at 135km/h (fun fact: Now, the ride doesn’t launch at full speed because it was genereting too much stress on the wheels) That’s why they are so many test mannequies in the queue line.

Just got back from Salou and we did our first Euro Theme Park because of your vlog. From Red Force, where I had to check my face was still attached to my head to Shambhala. Words can not do that coaster justice. Beats anything we have in the UK hands down. I can see why you named it Furious backache. The outer seats shook me to my bones. Thankyou

Why didn't he go on?
I know how Alex feels. It hurts to get turned down for a ride. I have been fighting with my weight for years. Just over seven weeks and having a complete bypass. A couple of months rest then hopefully I will get back on the big rides again. I really like the vlogs when Alex is with you.

id love to visit this park, i know youve mentioned budget flying and such but i cant even affrod to travel to alton towers (i dont drive) i really want to ride shambala! one day.

Shambhala is one of my fave coasters and furious baco is the most painful, bone shaking ride I've ever been on!
I don't know why people dislike Baco, you say rough, I say intense!

it WAS smooth when it was new - incredibly so but now it is very rough - Rip Ride Rocket in Orlando went the same way
The crane is for the new addition to the hotel gold river for 2019 along with a new dark ride in sesamo aventura
I went to this park when I was about 11 years old, hopefully I can go back and ride on some of the bigger coasters. Shambhala looks amazing!

I was there again last month but I stay at the portaventura park hotels so the park is free to me ♥️♥️ I miss it so much already I was there for 2 weeks ☀️

Awesome as anything. The vlog, the sun and the park is so amazing. Never been to the park but been passed it few times on the coach and the lil train thing that goes to the entrance. Alex getting wet lol. Shambhala is just one amazing coaster and great POV to. Amazing how many people wave to your camera.

So happy you went back to this amazing park 👌🏼 it’s such a good park with so many good thrill rides 😊 when I went there which was 4 weeks ago I went on furious backo, which I was absolutely gob smacked about. Also the theming is so so good and fits with the quiet area and peaceful area of this part of Spain. When are you next going to Drayton Manor cause I would love to meet you and take some photos 😀👌👌

Portaventura really is a such a nice park, just feel like it's now lacking a little in terms of rides. If we exclude red force as it's sort of separate, Shambhala is really the only coaster there that is of a really high standard. Furious Baco and Dragon Khan are so rough now that they're pretty hard to enjoy, and whilst Stampida is good fun it really does feel dated now. Would love them to get RMC to do a revamp of Stampida, would transform the park.

Roughness in rides adds to the experience for me.
Eleven years ago? That's not bad, I just figured out the last time I visited Port Aventura was either thirty one or thirty three years ago! Looking forward to going next year but I'm deeply saddened the ghost train is gone now. That was my favourite.

Comparitively, vlogging is still a relatively rare activity, and people naturally look at others when theyre speaking, so it doesnt really suprise me

So Dragon Kahn has a new theming element - The Alex Crump shorts ripper!
When there a year ago and loved it!! Thought it was every bit as good as Disney land for atmosphere and theming
I went to port aventura in the summer of 2017 and i was quite diasapointed. We ended up queing two hours for most rides as they were putting through 2 fastrack full trains to one non-fastrack.
The summer can be manic at the park, especially with the express passes
Aw, my heart goes out to Alex! I saw a few people getting off Wicker Man last week because the restraints were too small. Hope he gets a ride in soon. 😊

I have been waiting for this vlog, portadventura is my favourite park and ferarri world is lit too. The parades are the best and the fireworks are almost but not s good as disny. Stampeda is still my fave tho because it's still classic and not oo much and has the right amount of thrill to enjoy it too! However everything else is also amazing :)) enjoy yourself!

Hi guys! Great review. I've been to PortAventura twice as a little kid over 15 years ago and now we head to Salou for our wedding trip with my (soon to be) wife. I was wondering, if you could give me an advice about when to visit the park in order to avoid the biggest queues. We will be there from 1st of September until the 15th of September. The park itself is ending its "main" season on 10th so the opening hours are shorter, but that could lead to less people visiting it (also, by the end of the season, more people would probably go, since they'd want to enjoy more time there). I would like to know your opinion as I seek for us to make the experience as good as I can :-)

So I've listened to your advice and we were there last Fri and Sat and we had a blast. I've even done Shambala at 11 p.m. at night and the view was gorgeous! The queues on Friday were great as not many people were there and most of the waiting times were under or slightly above 30 minutes. On Sat the highest I saw was 110 minutes on Furius Baco, but still great adventure as even my wife went to Dragon Khan :-)
The Tren de la Mina is for ‘kids’. It isn’t but the height is 110cm so it isn’t for adults either

Free entree to Porte Aventura is also possible with Clubcard from Europapark or with yearcard from Efteling. Those extra's can change year to year, in the past I got a free Wristband at Blackpool Pleasure beach on my Funcard of Phantasialand , but that option is not valid anymore.

Hey shawn another great vlog loving them recently keep it up, Question for you just wondering its on my mind but when you go to these parks how do you keep your wallet,keys,phone etc safe and not loose them ? Random one i know just wanted tips off you because ive lost keys before at blackpool pleasure beach so is it best to have zip up pockets to keep them secured? Be handy to know for next time i go to a theme park ? Thanks shawn in advanced keep up the great vlogs

Seeing how short the queue is makes me want to cry. I waited about 3 hours to ride Shambala and they were only running one train (it was around the 5th April last year.
The operations were bad last year, seems to of improved at the moment
Theme Park Worldwide I'll have to visit again, I only managed to ride Shambala, Furious Baco, Tukuti Splash and the Silver River Flume (the water rides were all walk on queues). Also Hurucan Condor wasn't operating. Despite that though, Furious Baco had an hour and a half long queue but we got on it in around 15 minutes.
Shambhala looks fantastic.
Good ol furious baco! as you say the experience is very different for some, my Dad absolutely hated it lmao. Me and my brother then used our gold fast pass and ended up riding Shambala 27 times in a row 😆
Alex needs to revise his Wickerman announcements there where a few that were a bit off 😂
I went on Halloween and went on the Rec and horror in texas. I also went on Shambala and i was really scared but i loved it. Baco was very good aswell.

It was this year 2018 i started to do big rides and they were at Thorpe park this was the order i did them keep in mind i had not ridden any of them i did

Face your fears it pays off swarm is a definite it looks scary but it is a dream when you ride it

The park usually allow chest mounts however it does depend on the operator at the time

Coasters seem great. What I can tell from this vid theming in the park is a bit lacking. No dark rides and "frontierland" and "chinaland" is about as generic as it can be. To bad , because Spain has such an interesting an rich history, especially with all their colonies in the past that this all seems like a missed opportunity to give the park an unique identity.
im going to portaventura in 2 days its my second time going.i enjoy it more than disney cause i love thrill so i go on the more thrilling rides but u can also get rides for children
I was meant to be going to thorpe during June but I can't go anymore which is sad as i never get the chance to visit any theme park (mainly as my family aren't coaster fans, and i can't afford to travel to parks haha) and I was really really excited, but seeing a vlog from you at one of my bucket list parks cheered me up a little (':

What a shame, not fitting on Shambhala! Alex, if you want to lose some of that circumference, your goal should be to gradually replace fast food and fast carbs with healthy alternatives. Nutrition is the most important, exercise will help too. Anyway, fast food and fast carbs such as white bread or white noodles are some major reasons why people get big. Carbs are pure energy, and fast carbs/sugar make your insulin go sky-high, then it'll plummet after a short time, that's bad. Try to focus more on vegetables, protein, and some healthy fat. Fruits are ok in moderation (they are fast carbs, but with lots of fiber which will slow down the insulin response). Cut out soda / soft drinks completely and drink water instead. In a couple of months you might fit, but it takes discipline.

do you know if they changed height restriction or anything regarding shambalah in the 2017 season? , ive rode it a few years but last year they told me i was to "big" like im a big guy but ive rode it like 8-9 times already so no idea whats changed?
