I disagree. The reason it makes sense in a ring game is because playing a safety has no benefit in ring games specifically. In normal bank pool there's a whole different meta game of two way shots and safety play.
@@davidbehrens4760 Then you are no longer playing "Banks" are you? You now have a game of "Banks & Kicks". Typical desire for those who cannot execute.
@@daffydlwellen1270 First of all, there are countless people who understand and agree with the 3+ rail kick rule for ring games and can also execute better than your smug ass could ever hope to. Second, I was agreeing that there shouldn't be a 3 rail kick available in regular bank pool with only 2 competitors, but it makes sense in ring games for reasons mentioned before. Third, what a silly thing to get so worked up about that you feel compelled to make a bunch of condescending comments on the internet about it. Touch grass.
@@davidbehrens4760 Oh!!! Countless people who agree. Wow. Annnnd....like all those who can't compete on a level playing field, you start calling names like a 6-year-old on the playground when you get called on your bs. Your digital courage is overwhelming.
Smiths second shot wad so fuckin underspoken. He stunned that cue ball in the only little teeny tiny place on that entire table where it could get in time and be out of the way of the 10 ball and did it fuckin perfectly.
"...he'd be better off playing pro pool. It looks like it's been the right choice, too." Ya really think so, Mark? :-/ 🙂 That was a really tough call. Man, I've never seen Bustamante have so much trouble making a bank. I guess he blew the wad winning the banks section. Some serious 'consolation prize' there. He didn't really have much at all to work with, though. 54:10 That's not what 'swish' means, at least not in basketball. He hit two rails there coming back, not zero. Very nice shot, though. Shannon is good with those power stiffening banks. In fact, he tends to shoot long when he slows down. It is amazing how much difference speed makes to the angle straightening, a lot. Took me a long while to figure out speed is every bit as important when banking as aim. And yeah, seeing the shot the commentator called out at 56:11 was the first time the light REALLY came on there. I would have liked to see Jason play it, it looked like he might have looked at it, so maybe the angle wasn't great for the shot, maybe especially with the induced right spin??? I would virtually never second guess somebody like Jason, because he plays about a thousand times better than I do. Especially after he nailed that damned three...geez. :-) He's not called Eagle eye for nothing. Always a blast to watch him play. I would put Filler in the number two slot, and not by that much. That kid is ridiculous, all around. Truman pointing at the cue possible scratch was funny at 1:02:53. He knew that thing wasn't going in from where he was standing, at least I would hope so. Just trying to give Skyler a heart attack. I'm calling those three railers better than Mark. WTH? "He hit it well" and the guys off by a friggin diamond to diamond and a half, missing the ball by a foot or more. What was that at the end when Skylar was clowning around at the pic and the ref pushes him away looking angry. Is the guy a dick, or does he always just look like that? That was seriously unimpressive. Maybe he had a loss in the family or something. Pretty damned unprofessional. Good call on the double kiss, though.
There is way too much luck involved in a ring game for me to gamble my hard-earned money when a rank amateur can take it just because he had an easy shot on the 9-ball when it was his turn at the table.
@@pepperwestwood Thanks yes I think I was watching in a 2nd window a Tyler promo for the predator weight kit on the predator website and was mentally fragmented. But even so I think it was a bad call. It would be different if the ball was not locked in the jaw in my mind
I've seen Skyler in Mosconi Cup and liked him there, but now I like him even more, he really seem to be a fun bloke😁
Such a fun event to watch!!
Like how banks is always a fun atmosphere.
Thanks for share 🙏 happy NEW year 👍😎🤝
Daulton has always been a banks beast
No surprise that 4 of the 6 come from ohio and kentucky-- many many world class bankers from these two states.....
*29:55* The highlight of the night! LMAO
What a brutal fall that was... Jeez
Unfortunate rolls for Django
anyone know who the girl in the black vest/white shirt is at 6:20?
These guys talk enough in the ring games, they should just mic up the players so we can hear what they say, then we don't need commentators.
Would have been nice to see standings at start of $600/ball
Three rail kicks should be allowed in all bank games.
Sure and a push out and a mulligan too.
Hell why bother even banking the balls?

Circling the table collecting chips after a successful bank is silly and redundant!

You might be thinking of the 2016 Banks Ring Game. Some of the players are the same between the two games.

That's why most ring games are progressive stakes
Tyler got robbed on that kick at 1:23:35 IMO

It was very close. Played it back a few times in slo-mo, and still couldn't really tell if it double kissed or not.
Should have to pay for scratching.
