The only criticism I have about this event is it's too short as some people have school, and some games are too hard, but for the most part, it's amazing.
My honest opinion: The event isn't as bad as people think it is, but their criticism is justified to an extent I agree that having less games, and making a way more interactive and themed lobby is a step in the right direction. I agree it is better than the hunt and I hope they keep improving the quality. The exploiters are definitely out of anyone's control. Nobody is to blame, and I'm sure people had fun doing the event. It will hopefully get better in the future, we don't know... However, I can understand the frustration with the Pay-to-win stuff and the boring cash grab games that exist. Not to mention the pay to win tier list, and the fact that its another dev hunt. I don't think its fair to generalize these people's concerns down to "People just hate all events" or "They are ungrateful", considering the fact that it is advertised to be "classic". Meaning that the games only focus on the fun aspect, instead of the P2W, and being something nostalgic Arsenal, Bedwars, and Restaurant Tycoon did a great execution of the event by at least adding classic themed items... Of course, its understandable why people hate Skibidi Toilet Simulator as its a cash grab and does not suit the classic theme well People expect at least one classic game like Doomspire or Crossroads, or Swordfight or at least a "classic experience", and its false advertising pretty much. Even then, it does not have to be any of those games... Just create fun quests and storyline like the 2018 Egg Hunt or RB Battles. They are events people do enjoy alot. Plus, its not like they hated the event 100%. They just hated the execution, but loved the concept. Its like ordering a tuna sandwich, but they got the main part of it wrong.... Its like using Rthro to represent classic roblox...
I was excited too until I joined one of the games, saw it was a soulless cash grab, left and joined another game, saw the same thing, and that repeated until I gave up.

At least some devs are actually putting effort unlike The hunt: First Addition. I noticed blade ball didnt just make you do some easy quests, but instead added a boss fight. Now thats an improvement. Bravo
The reason roblox unbanned shedletsky was because you needed to say it in chat for one of the classic hub quests. Also, I LOVED the lobby quests, but I feel like the actual events in the games are even more grindy than the hunt.

The reason Shedletsky's name was unbanned is because in the classic event, next to the racetrack there are "guess the name" doors. Shedletsky is on one of them.

We can talk about the bad things but this event is AN IMPROVEMENT. Games like arsenal were INSANE QUALITY and i would say over half the games put TONS OF EFFORT. There’s a lot of good from this, and we hope things keep getting better. As long as we are getting events.. i’m fine with it, and this comes from someone who started in 2014. People are way too picky, and nothing will ever be perfect. I’ve quickly realized in recent years that it’s impossible to make everyone happy.

You gotta realize that there’s also only 15 games. I already completed the event in less than a day. You don’t even have to complete all of the games, in fact I only completed like 7 or 8 games and you can also get tokens and tickets in the lobby too. Compared to the hunt event, that’s way better and it’s more fun. In the hunt, you HAD TO PLAY ALL 100 GAMES in order to get the final prize. If there is like way less games, you can’t expect it to only take a few minutes, it’s called actually earning the items.

The hub quests were decent and a few of the games carried the event. You also only had to do like 5-6 games to finish the event so you can skip all the bad ones.

I think it’s great personally although I’m disappointed they didn’t involve older roblox games for the portal quests, I like how they are still acknowledging their game’s history even after all this time. I really hope they do this again in the future but of course do it differently.
they should have at least made classic themed avatar rewards. The Hub minigames and quest badge stuff is fun, haven't gotten onto any actual games, but I know hell awaits me. Wish they brought back the old jump sound too

Dragon Adventures is not normally known for P2W. In fact, it's pretty much fair. It's more fair than PS99. However, the only complaint I have is that the event came out at the worst timing!!! It's Memorial Weekend. I have to work during the whole thing, and I may not be able to do most of the event.

stuff that Roblox should do for future events: not add "rare" expensive bundles and items that cost over 10,000 Robux actual enjoyable games (like arsenals take on it for example) that have soul in it unlike blade ball or driving empire more famous games that actually fit the genre for the event like work at a pizza place or hide and seek extreme. if the developer(s) don't accept, it's okay more fun challenges instead of chores (you think having to play 7 games in blade ball is fun?) basically, Roblox mostly needs to stop choosing games that are obviously just wanting to get money from the event and choose development groups who actually want their players to enjoy the game and work together. the whole point of an event is to enjoy it, not to just grind on it for some pixels on a screen.
I do acknowledge that the event is decent for my standards, but there's just too much extra UGC that you get from for example, meeting a dev or meeting a star creator. especially UGC in an event that costs Robux to claim. what's the point if the UGC is mostly just behind a paywall? including the games that don't put much effort except for like 1 tiny piece of the events genre.

On the positive side TDS requires no grinding for when you enter the event you get the towers you need and then you win with them and it’s pretty easy to do

"classic event sucked" the choice of games where terrible, either takes hours of grinding, or you need crazy skill to do. the best quest so far was clip it, cause it was really easy.

IMO this event was way better than the hunt and Roblox made their lobby as good as possible. However the developers they chose were the laziest people ever.
It’s a big step up from the hunt but next time they should only do hub quests, remove the game crossing, remove the in game currency stuff, remove the gold paths, remove the item sale stuff and make every quest give an item. Also they should make it last for 1 month
ill always appreciate the games that actually put effort into events rather than crap like livetopia or resturaunt tycoon where all they did was change the slightest thing and called it a day and calling it retro, not to mention theyre just play the game with little to no meat for people to enjoy for the hunt
This event shows evolution. Roblox actually listened. They made a game along with partnering with way less games. I like to think that they made this event retro themed because people were asking for "old roblox" back. They also made more items obtainable for free. Personally, i like this event

the crazy thing is that if roblox didn't push their work onto random gamedevs and actually worked with twin atlas to make a real true return to formula event this would actually be like an S tier event the hub world? actually perfect, feels like someone who actually cared built it, plenty of callbacks to old roblox and its games/genres the items? they're all really good, the closest an item gets to being bad(excluding the dev slice i hate it it is actually bad ) i'd say would be the pie and even then its pretty good, i could see all of these items fitting perfectly on avatars in my head(EXCLUDING THE DEV SLICE) but the actual games are genuinely just such slogsss out of the like 5-7 games i played the only good thing i have to say is that the settings of arsenal's event is pretty good looking and then after that its literally all bad, theres genuinely like nothing memorable about any of the ones i played and they all melt into generic "im so retro!" soup, i genuinely think accidentally launching someone into orbit with a rocket in the lobby ONCE was more fun than all of the games i played combined, i had more fun trying to get the launcher items than the part of the event thats supposed to be fun?? roblox just let twin atlas cook next time??
yikes, i just got back into roblox a little and what youve described is exactly what i feared the event would be like. Would not be surprised if next event, Sols rng gets to be part of the game selection then. I would totally check out the hub world though, it sounds nice and with actual passion put into it
With the old egg hunts, roblox proved beyond any doubt that they have the resources and manpower to make incredibly fun and unique events. Given how old those events were and how much bigger roblox is now, they have absolutely no excuse in the slightest to let these games slide.

My biggest gripe is that half of the games aren't even classic. Especially Toilet Tower Defense, replace that with like Speed Run 4 or any tycoon and I'd be fine.
Of course we hate the Classic event, it has literally NOTHING from the classic era of Roblox apart from the hub, barely any of the games are staples of the platform, you really want me to believe *Skibidi Toilet Tower Defense* is a CLASSIC game? Let's not forget about Adopt Me, a glorified gambling site but at this point it's not surprising, and of course, A Dusty Trip, a carbon copy of A Long Drive that was also released 3 months ago and is FILLED with pay-to-win microtransactions. They could have taken ANY game that literally MADE Roblox popular like Jailbreak, Sword Fight on the Heights, literally ANYTHING that was popular but no, they chose Skibidi Toilet Tower Defense, Adopt Me, A Dusty Trip and Blade Ball. Sword Fights on the Heights was released in 2008 by Shedletsky, a icon of the Roblox community, and it is not featured anywhere in the Classic event (the references to it in the hub dont count, im talking about the game), meanwhile, A Dusty Trip, a buggy, cash grabbing mess of a game that also released literally 3 months ago and that also barely takes any effort to play gets featured. We don't hate that event, we hate Roblox thinking that THESE are games worthy to be featured in an event commemorating the classic era of roblox, at this point, it's pretty damn well sure that the creators of these games just paid roblox to be featured in the event.

Oh wow, an old-school-themed event where all of the games are modern frontpage games that I never wanted to play in the first place, with the incentive to participate being 4 hats with only 2 of them being worth participating for. The only thing that felt even remotely "classic" about this was the map, which might explain why i unironically had more fun finding the map secrets than actually playing any of the advertised games. Its a step in the right direction at least (quite literally A step) 6/10 event (Better than The Hunt, at least)

Definitely agree with you on this, I made a video covering this as soon as I finished my stream of it because it was NOT worth the time they don't even consider any feedback. I feel literally ANYONE besides the person in charge of this event could've done better. For example some of my own personal good ideas like putting 50 different devs in competition with each other and roblox would essentially hand pick 15 games with the best effort and the most effectively sticking to the theme of the event. It's literally not that hard to do. It's effective in getting devs to have their games featured and it stops all the problems with the games being mid. Also, just do checks on all of the games to see if there is an average amount of effort required for this and try to keep that a standard (ie; maybe takes like 30 minutes maximum)

Bed wars for example just reused game mode and had an egg hunt to find the tix in the lobby. 2: People complained about how there were too many games last time so instead of just lowering it, Roblox also lowers the event time meaning that it’s just scaled down instead of lowered. 3: It’s the same games as the first hunt mostly. Like the crappy toilet defense game. There shouldn’t be brain rot as one of the event games. 4: Cosmetics are objectively worse that the hunt. 5: Most games are cash grabs. While in the hunt some of them at least added some things for the player to do, this time lots of them are far more difficult with game passes to make it easy. So yeah, this even learned nothing from the hunt and even got worse.

Quality of the games are better than the hunt quality, games like a dusty trip and arsenal did a good job in making a fun classic map for the event, while in the hunt you have games like livetopia who didn't even make an event and just made you wait minute afk for ice to melt or to lockpick something 2. The hunt had over 60 games that just wanted premium payouts so the new events are much better and also actually have the classic theme unlike the hunt, you only need to beat a few of the games not all of them. 3. If you think the games are brainrot then don't play them as you only have to play the games you like, they are only there for those who like them

We don’t get good events by making excuses telling ourselves that trash is gold, we get them by pointing out continuing flaws that go unaddressed.
Imma be honest I actually like this event, and yes some of the games are quite long to play, unless you’ve played the game in the past, then it’ll take like 2 or 3 hours to beat, which I enjoy, also I love the aesthetic of the hunt
Honestly to me, the aesthetic of the hunt was the worst part of the event (minus the false advertising) because it feels like "the hunt 2.0" or "tix hunt", and not only that, it's only for 5 days! Just my opinion though.

The sad part of the event is that the game selection was WAY WORSE than the hunt. Of the 15 games or the classic event only like 3 of them are enjoyable and they’re high quality games that aren’t just some pay to win cash grab or adopt me game and one of them isn’t even worth it because it is literally just you getting jumped by penguins. Of all of the games dusty trip’s game mode was the best BY A VERY LARGE SCALE and in some ways it somewhat reminds me of the doors April fools event. My main issue with the event is that the games that were chosen sucked and the only enjoyable and fun parts for me were just trolling people in the lobby with a rocket launcher and dusty trip and if Roblox is just going to keep making garbage and p2w for their events then why bother adding them at all
We wanted to have the older events that were actually fun to play. Not some "Hey pay us 20,000 robux for a bundle and we'll give you 5 exclusive golden items for free in our battle pass".
the reason for unbanning sheldetsky was for the classic roblox event, if you go to the racetrack, you'll see a guess the character door thing, sheldetsky was included and roblox didn't want it getting censored so people can get a rocoin, hope this helped a little!
in my honest opinion, while this event is a lot better than the hunt, it can still be improved, most of the games just make you play their game with a few additions (cough cough blade ball and gunfight arena cough cough adopt me cough cough) and some make you walk around to find random stuff (cough cough clip it cough cough) but who can blame them? they got quite little time to prepare for the event. Pros: Less games than the hunt, no need to do all games (i think), very good lobby, great hanging out material. Cons: still very little items compared to egg hunts, most items are reskins, games aren't classic, challenges are bland. Lots of the opinions in this comment section are biased either towards the event's favor or against it, which sorta shows how little some people's standards have dropped, and how some standards never changed from the egg hunts
The thing that annoys me most is Roblox not checking developers' events to ensure they're appropriate and presentable. Hopefully, they'll consider this in the future. Overall, this event is better than the hunt. Surprisingly, they listened to feedback (well... most of it). We hope they maintain this interaction with the community instead of ghosting us after the event.

Honestly, Roblox needs to stop DevHunts all together as they rely way too hard on developers being competent and dedicated to the theming of an event. Roblox should return to in-game world events, where players actually hunt for eggs in a massive world with friends, while Roblox has a lot more control in making fun quests and tasks to collect eggs!
there are quite a few good games and you can beat the event by only doing the 'good games' so in that sense the event is good! just don't play the bad games

The only criticism I have about this event is it's too short as some people have school, and some games are too hard, but for the most part, it's amazing.
My honest opinion: The event isn't as bad as people think it is, but their criticism is justified to an extent
I agree that having less games, and making a way more interactive and themed lobby is a step in the right direction. I agree it is better than the hunt and I hope they keep improving the quality. The exploiters are definitely out of anyone's control. Nobody is to blame, and I'm sure people had fun doing the event. It will hopefully get better in the future, we don't know...
However, I can understand the frustration with the Pay-to-win stuff and the boring cash grab games that exist. Not to mention the pay to win tier list, and the fact that its another dev hunt. I don't think its fair to generalize these people's concerns down to "People just hate all events" or "They are ungrateful", considering the fact that it is advertised to be "classic". Meaning that the games only focus on the fun aspect, instead of the P2W, and being something nostalgic
Arsenal, Bedwars, and Restaurant Tycoon did a great execution of the event by at least adding classic themed items...
Of course, its understandable why people hate Skibidi Toilet Simulator as its a cash grab and does not suit the classic theme well
People expect at least one classic game like Doomspire or Crossroads, or Swordfight or at least a "classic experience", and its false advertising pretty much. Even then, it does not have to be any of those games...
Just create fun quests and storyline like the 2018 Egg Hunt or RB Battles. They are events people do enjoy alot. Plus, its not like they hated the event 100%. They just hated the execution, but loved the concept.

I was excited too until I joined one of the games, saw it was a soulless cash grab, left and joined another game, saw the same thing, and that repeated until I gave up.

The reason Shedletsky's name was unbanned is because in the classic event, next to the racetrack there are "guess the name" doors. Shedletsky is on one of them.

We can talk about the bad things but this event is AN IMPROVEMENT. Games like arsenal were INSANE QUALITY and i would say over half the games put TONS OF EFFORT. There’s a lot of good from this, and we hope things keep getting better. As long as we are getting events.. i’m fine with it, and this comes from someone who started in 2014. People are way too picky, and nothing will ever be perfect. I’ve quickly realized in recent years that it’s impossible to make everyone happy.

You gotta realize that there’s also only 15 games. I already completed the event in less than a day. You don’t even have to complete all of the games, in fact I only completed like 7 or 8 games and you can also get tokens and tickets in the lobby too. Compared to the hunt event, that’s way better and it’s more fun. In the hunt, you HAD TO PLAY ALL 100 GAMES in order to get the final prize. If there is like way less games, you can’t expect it to only take a few minutes, it’s called actually earning the items.

The hub quests were decent and a few of the games carried the event. You also only had to do like 5-6 games to finish the event so you can skip all the bad ones.

I think it’s great personally although I’m disappointed they didn’t involve older roblox games for the portal quests, I like how they are still acknowledging their game’s history even after all this time. I really hope they do this again in the future but of course do it differently.
they should have at least made classic themed avatar rewards. The Hub minigames and quest badge stuff is fun, haven't gotten onto any actual games, but I know hell awaits me. Wish they brought back the old jump sound too

Dragon Adventures is not normally known for P2W. In fact, it's pretty much fair. It's more fair than PS99.
However, the only complaint I have is that the event came out at the worst timing!!! It's Memorial Weekend. I have to work during the whole thing, and I may not be able to do most of the event.

not add "rare" expensive bundles and items that cost over 10,000 Robux
actual enjoyable games (like arsenals take on it for example) that have soul in it unlike blade ball or driving empire
more famous games that actually fit the genre for the event like work at a pizza place or hide and seek extreme. if the developer(s) don't accept, it's okay
more fun challenges instead of chores (you think having to play 7 games in blade ball is fun?)
basically, Roblox mostly needs to stop choosing games that are obviously just wanting to get money from the event and choose development groups who actually want their players to enjoy the game and work together. the whole point of an event is to enjoy it, not to just grind on it for some pixels on a screen.
I do acknowledge that the event is decent for my standards, but there's just too much extra UGC that you get from for example, meeting a dev or meeting a star creator. especially UGC in an event that costs Robux to claim. what's the point if the UGC is mostly just behind a paywall? including the games that don't put much effort except for like 1 tiny piece of the events genre.

yikes, i just got back into roblox a little and what youve described is exactly what i feared the event would be like. Would not be surprised if next event, Sols rng gets to be part of the game selection then. I would totally check out the hub world though, it sounds nice and with actual passion put into it
With the old egg hunts, roblox proved beyond any doubt that they have the resources and manpower to make incredibly fun and unique events.
Given how old those events were and how much bigger roblox is now, they have absolutely no excuse in the slightest to let these games slide.

My biggest gripe is that half of the games aren't even classic. Especially Toilet Tower Defense, replace that with like Speed Run 4 or any tycoon and I'd be fine.
Of course we hate the Classic event, it has literally NOTHING from the classic era of Roblox apart from the hub, barely any of the games are staples of the platform, you really want me to believe *Skibidi Toilet Tower Defense* is a CLASSIC game? Sword Fights on the Heights was released in 2008 by Shedletsky, a icon of the Roblox community, and it is not featured anywhere in the Classic event (the references to it in the hub dont count, im talking about the game), meanwhile, A Dusty Trip, a buggy, cash grabbing mess of a game that also released literally 3 months ago and that also barely takes any effort to play gets featured.
We don't hate that event, we hate Roblox thinking that THESE are games worthy to be featured in an event commemorating the classic era of roblox, at this point, it's pretty damn well sure that the creators of these games just paid roblox to be featured in the event.

Oh wow, an old-school-themed event where all of the games are modern frontpage games that I never wanted to play in the first place, with the incentive to participate being 4 hats with only 2 of them being worth participating for.
The only thing that felt even remotely "classic" about this was the map, which might explain why i unironically had more fun finding the map secrets than actually playing any of the advertised games. Its a step in the right direction at least (quite literally A step)

Definitely agree with you on this, I made a video covering this as soon as I finished my stream of it because it was NOT worth the time they don't even consider any feedback. I feel literally ANYONE besides the person in charge of this event could've done better. For example some of my own personal good ideas like putting 50 different devs in competition with each other and roblox would essentially hand pick 15 games with the best effort and the most effectively sticking to the theme of the event.
It's literally not that hard to do. It's effective in getting devs to have their games featured and it stops all the problems with the games being mid. Also, just do checks on all of the games to see if there is an average amount of effort required for this and try to keep that a standard (ie; maybe takes like 30 minutes maximum)

2: People complained about how there were too many games last time so instead of just lowering it, Roblox also lowers the event time meaning that it’s just scaled down instead of lowered.
3: It’s the same games as the first hunt mostly. Like the crappy toilet defense game. There shouldn’t be brain rot as one of the event games.
4: Cosmetics are objectively worse that the hunt.
5: Most games are cash grabs. While in the hunt some of them at least added some things for the player to do, this time lots of them are far more difficult with game passes to make it easy.
So yeah, this even learned nothing from the hunt and even got worse.

2. The hunt had over 60 games that just wanted premium payouts so the new events are much better and also actually have the classic theme unlike the hunt, you only need to beat a few of the games not all of them.

And I don’t think all games are brain rot but toilet defense 100% is objectively brain rot. Your points hold no value as they are either simply not true or contain no logic.
We don’t get good events by making excuses telling ourselves that trash is gold, we get them by pointing out continuing flaws that go unaddressed.
Imma be honest I actually like this event, and yes some of the games are quite long to play, unless you’ve played the game in the past, then it’ll take like 2 or 3 hours to beat, which I enjoy, also I love the aesthetic of the hunt
Honestly to me, the aesthetic of the hunt was the worst part of the event (minus the false advertising) because it feels like "the hunt 2.0" or "tix hunt", and not only that, it's only for 5 days!
Just my opinion though.
At this point roblox might jusy ruin everything or hire new developers and moderators

The sad part of the event is that the game selection was WAY WORSE than the hunt. Of the 15 games or the classic event only like 3 of them are enjoyable and they’re high quality games that aren’t just some pay to win cash grab or adopt me game and one of them isn’t even worth it because it is literally just you getting jumped by penguins. Of all of the games dusty trip’s game mode was the best BY A VERY LARGE SCALE and in some ways it somewhat reminds me of the doors April fools event. My main issue with the event is that the games that were chosen sucked and the only enjoyable and fun parts for me were just trolling people in the lobby with a rocket launcher and dusty trip and if Roblox is just going to keep making garbage and p2w for their events then why bother adding them at all

We wanted to have the older events that were actually fun to play. Not some "Hey pay us 20,000 robux for a bundle and we'll give you 5 exclusive golden items for free in our battle pass".
the reason for unbanning sheldetsky was for the classic roblox event, if you go to the racetrack, you'll see a guess the character door thing, sheldetsky was included and roblox didn't want it getting censored so people can get a rocoin, hope this helped a little!

in my honest opinion, while this event is a lot better than the hunt, it can still be improved, most of the games just make you play their game with a few additions (cough cough blade ball and gunfight arena cough cough adopt me cough cough) and some make you walk around to find random stuff (cough cough clip it cough cough) but who can blame them? they got quite little time to prepare for the event.
Pros: Less games than the hunt, no need to do all games (i think), very good lobby, great hanging out material.
Cons: still very little items compared to egg hunts, most items are reskins, games aren't classic, challenges are bland.
Lots of the opinions in this comment section are biased either towards the event's favor or against it, which sorta shows how little some people's standards have dropped, and how some standards never changed from the egg hunts
The thing that annoys me most is Roblox not checking developers' events to ensure they're appropriate and presentable. Hopefully, they'll consider this in the future. Overall, this event is better than the hunt. Surprisingly, they listened to feedback (well... most of it). We hope they maintain this interaction with the community instead of ghosting us after the event.

This event was so much better than the other one they put way less games and made the prizes actually fun to do . People just hate anything it ruins the event in someway . I love the event so far and want roblox to improve even more next time

My problem with the event is that THEY PUT A SKIBIDI TOILET GAME INTO A “classic” event that just pisses me off bc work at a pizza place one of the most classic games on Roblox wasn’t added

Honestly, Roblox needs to stop DevHunts all together as they rely way too hard on developers being competent and dedicated to the theming of an event. Roblox should return to in-game world events, where players actually hunt for eggs in a massive world with friends, while Roblox has a lot more control in making fun quests and tasks to collect eggs!
as a 2016 player, the games that you need to do the quest are a bit disappointing. Nonetheless at least this is better than The Hunt

there are quite a few good games and you can beat the event by only doing the 'good games' so in that sense the event is good! just don't play the bad games

This event is so glitchy, I litteraly unlock the deity shawl. The check mark is there, yet it is nowhere to be seen in my inventory, the animation played for me, and i dont even have the badge either. Actually stupid.
