I noticed Bubblegum Simulator there and then I came back to visit the game's site and wow, left alone with 1.2 Billion visits, so lonely it now has around 250 players active everyday, the last time it updated was EXACTLY a year ago, August 24, 2023... I used to see it having around 30 thousand active players or more everyday when I log on to Roblox in 2019, and therefore, the whole Bubblegum Simulator fanbase were 10 year olds at that time and today, most of them are 15 year olds or above.
It actually lasted updated in 2021 christmas. Nothing else. No pets, no events. Issac is just lazy. Kelogish was godlike Bubble gum simulator youtuber, but he's now Kris/Chris
me and my friends are currently remaking bubble gum simulator but all modernized and stuff, if your intrested i could tell you when it releases and that stuff lol

UGC was just starting, clothes were changing, games were forced to update with several changes due to policies; and much more. As much as I wish design it would return with a huge comeback, I know it won't. It's better left as a piece of history. Design it made fashion famous, and fashion famous made dress to impress. Bro Elemental Battlegrounds is my favorite roblox game of all time. The creator updated it less and less because he made Blox Fruits, which is obviously now one of the top 3 most popular roblox games. There was no point to keep updating elemental battlegrounds anymore. I'ts unfortunate. 😢
(Edit) Disclaimer: I kinda wrote what I had entirely feel about EBG so expect this comment to be very long. Same here!! I've been on both Elemental Wars and Elemental Battlegrounds. I found Elemental Wars first before the Event with the Battle Crown and discovered EBG. I got the crown but stuck to the game because I was captivated by the Elemental abilities that each element had. Even after that event ended, I kept playing the game because I wanted to unlock more and more elements to get more powerful. But when the Angel Element came out, I began to notice that the updates took longer and longer as new elements got added. Even so, I still stuck with the game since it was the only game I had ever played for the past 4 years since 2018. Then there was the time of the 6 month period of no update and I began to worry if the game would ever get updated because it was starting to lose players. It was updated a few more times, but the player count wasn't as high as it used to be. I felt devastated by the downfall of EBG because it was my favorite game and had a lot of my childhood memories intact with it. Even though it's not getting updated anymore right now, I still play it every once in a while to reminisce about those great days when the EBG world was thriving. I miss my old friends there 😢
I feel like everyone forgot the original Booga booga (booga booga 2020), it still holds its 800 million visits but now is almost a ghosttown, nearing its death, probably the reason why players quitted the original booga booga copy is that soybeen lacked the time & schedule to make the major overhaul, and by the time it is finished, all the players are spoiled now because the changes are kind of gimmicky to a point of where the old version was better. When soybeen stopped working on booga booga, he uncopylocked it and let the ppl remake the game what shape they want it. Today booga booga is in balanced condition developed by other developers (idk the developer name)
Used to play it a lot before then i just came back recently and it felt like they dumped the whole community maps into their game and made it difficult to experience the nostalgia with the new maps outnumbering the old ones.
Mad city had also another problem, weapons. They removed many free weapons people liked and putted them for a price. That was when i just left the game forever
Madcity had an advantage; wanna know why? because they were not extremely realistic , they allowed you to spawn a car or boat from anywhere and back then jailbreak only allowed u to spawn cars when you paid up robux and even now you can only spawn the most basic and one of the worst cars in game even then, you cannot spawn boats. Madcity made more easy but more fun ways to escape the prison and they also made the 'heroes ' faction that gives u special powers and makes it so u dont need to handcuff people to get their bounty ( that stacks), they constantly added unique and cool items like riot shields (that were actually good) and tier gas and so on and the new robberies felt fun but not a puzzle like jailbreak to initiate them . They constantly added new cars and also air vehicles and they made it more grindy because they made it so there are vehicles that cost over 1 million in game dollars but jailbreak didn't fall suit until 2020 to 2021 and also they made their vehicles unique as they had projectiles and jailbreak added like 1 air vehicle that has projectiles and those projectiles cost money to buy and mad city objectively had a better battle pass as the tier 50 and 100 cars are really cool and based of that seasons theme and later on they added skins for you being a higher tier than just 100.But cops felt balanced and they didn't have to take much from the criminal team like jailbreak did to make it balanced as they just let cops have some op items for busting robberies.And there waaaaaay more cars and those cars were actually cool and you can fit the car that fits your style but have it still be a pretty good car. Or ditch cars and gets jets like the nighthawk based of the lockheed nighthawk in real life and the ability is to go invisible.But madicitys lack of good updates and lack of updates overall toppled this empire and i'm glad i was able to see its high notes but i am sad to see its down parts

I used to play kaiju universe, since it came out in fact. I was probably one of the best players in the entire game, but when it got shut down I never really played it again. I did try to play it but I quit because it was stale and boring. Apparently though there was a huge drama because some content creators (fda and godzilla guy,) didn't like the devs or something and then the devs were caught plagarising their new models off fan-made kaiju in deviantart. TDLR: I used to play kaiju universe until it got shut down and there was a huge drama with the devs.
the game in the thumbnail has pretty good reasoning: after a certain season it just became bad, devs didnt want to revert the update and bring back the previous season and they got clapped for it because they lost thousands of players including me.

chapter 2 has more overall potential than chapter 1 as a game imo, i think really they just need to pivot chapter 2's direction based on where the community wants it to be
one of the most overlooked things that made madcity 2 good imo is that there was a power struggle between the criminals and cops+heroes each couple hours the server power balance would shift naturally and keep things fun
@@nickcobbs8464 the game has more content, doesnt mean its more fun to play it just gets boring because either no one plays cops/heroes or there is a super sweat who has a 20 million dollar jet that is completely beaming you with basically no way to fight back with your resources
Its also not fun and seems like the perfect place for people who care more about making sure other players don't have fun as opposed to having fun themselves. That said, I have about 2 minutes of playtime on this game.
The reason these games old games are unpopular is because the little timmys only want to play "good" games like pressure or doors or slap battles and dandys world and they dont wanna play good games like super bomb survival work at a pizza place survive the disasters classic (before the r15 only) natural disaster survival

Ah Yes Speed City, I remember back to the old days that we were trading some trails to get more powerful, The more we get trail, the more step we had back then and now i think ik why its dead because it was completly bug when we walk super fast sometimes it fling us and people are so annoying about why they never had a big map so instead they just not updating it for just legacy in my opinion.
Mad city stopped getting popular after chapter 2 i think, i used to play on mobile and after chapter 2 i couldn’t which means a lot more people couldn’t either.
madcity was peak when the non criminal teams actually did their job, and it was much better than jailbreak imo now the game got boring and all the people who grinded it had overpowered gear which took a lot of time to get, so either there was 1rank 10 cop and 20 criminals or 3 teamer super players which instantly beamed you with a super omega helicopter that costs 60 million(while a 2 million helicopter which can shoot one missile is already hard to get and is pretty late game in comparison to most players) so in order to balance this clear lack of heroes and cops they added police ai that will fight you like its gta (which still get absolutely beamed by high level vehicles while being boring and uninteresting) its honestly a shame for what happened to mad city from chapter1 where community was simply better and the games difficulty for both teams was very balanced, it had even different power levels between servers as sometimes the cops and heroes managed to get everyone in prison and then the crim team actually had to team up and start overpowering them, or it went the opposite way for a short time point is the game was fun, harder, not too grindy but also rewarding and also had a power struggle between the teams(very overlooked) it no longer has most of these things and the fun is mid
I think Madcity was a good alternate for Jailbreak, but Madcity definitely didn’t give as much quality as Jailbreak did. Jailbreak had a map thats memorizable, lore, and began with events first.
Elemental battleground was a nice PVP game, pretty much one of the well balanced skill based game I’ve ever played, it’s like strongest battleground, pvp with pure instincts, although the game is pretty much dead, they’re still some ebg addicts who’d play the game just for the pvp fun of it, sad to see it dying just cuz mygame43 doesn’t update the game anymore.
I'm one of those EBG addicts that stuck in the game for 6 YEARS since 2018. Though I haven't played it as much as before, I often visit there every once in a while just to relive those moments when the EBG world was thriving.
I think you can easily make a part 2. I know 1 game that fell off badly aswell. Loomian legacy. Orginally known as Pokemon Brick Bronze. Hero havoc is another Made by the dev that made Project Pokemon And now created doodle world I think we can also mention Prison life, That was popular before jailbreak & mad city came out. I also think MM2 kinda fell down aswell. Many "Popular" games that lost a big chunk of it's playerbase. Wish you luck

Mad city was one of my most played roblox games ever. I have bought many expensive cars and planes proving that i have been spending a lot of time on that game. However when chapter 2 came out i did not like with the direction they were going so i decided to quit playing it.
I wish kaiju universe was back I just got g21 when it got taken down I only got him to like lvl 21 but I had a g14 that was lvl 58 and now all those grinds were for “NOTHING” at all😭😭😭😭😭😭
They said they're still trying to get the license but right now they're making reskins of them so eventually your g21 will be put into the game just it'll look different
tbh i think the impossible obby should be on this list. it was an obby game that blew up back in 2020 and averaged a few thousand players every day which is insane for an obby. in 2021, the developer got banned along with the group which caused the game to stop updating. nowadays it averages 20-80 players and i still play it and think its a very well made game
Mad City when it came out was thought to kill off jailbreak. I played it since day 1 and when chapter 2 came along, it proved to be a massive disappointment. I did still play it for a bit untill the piggy update. I just quit the game altogether.

Kaiju Universe player here! TLDR: Toho sent Prometia Games (KU Devs) a cease and desist, along with every other kaiju game on roblox that had to do with Godzilla.
Honeslty I am very sad and mad at this point,if TOHO didnt ruin Kaiju Universe it would be still very good game.Sadly due of copyright it had to be changed,I used to play that game alot.
i do remember hyping up for chapter 2 of mad city back in early 2023 or late 2022, i don't know exactly but i friended some people and the whole server started goofing around to wait until chapter 2 comes out, we were though dissappointed about chapter 2 and left mad city immediately.
the second chapter of mad city is hated upon due to its environment changed, there is more bugs and it became too realistic and not as simple as before, and its vibe changed, which is why i hated mad city from now on

I use to grind the game several hours a day back in 2021, (even 2020 but didn't play as much) but once ch.2 released player count went to 10k, to 6k, to 3k, and now to 1k where it has died. Jailbreak however still consistently gets 20-25k players on weekends so congrats to them

I'm pretty sure that Kaiju Universe was deleted 2 seperate times, having to make 3 different games. I believe the gamepass ids were re-used so people who bought them won't have to buy it again. I was suprised that it was still up a year after I last played, until I realized they had to change everything to prevent more problems
I believe that the current Kaiju Universe could still had the potential to repopulates their game again by redesigning the kaijus into their own. But still it had a reasons for the game to be taken down as they were illegally using and selling a characters that they don't even owned. And it'll definitely need a licenses inorder to bring it's previous era of the game back, but knowing Toho, it'll be nearly impossible to claim the right of having it.
I want to mention Starscape in this comment section Cause of death: Creator fires the entire dev team to regain total control, only for burnout to stagnate the game’s future content. It did get released, but it’s far too late.

Undertale Tower Defense was really popular, but it lost its players due to discontinueation of the game

If mad city wants to be popular again they just need to make some tweaks to chapter 1 and then rerelease it.
chapter 2 has more overall potential than chapter 1 as a game imo, i think really they just need to pivot chapter 2's direction based on where the community wants it to be
one of the most overlooked things that made madcity 2 good imo is that there was a power struggle between the criminals and cops+heroes
each couple hours the server power balance would shift naturally and keep things fun

it just gets boring because either no one plays cops/heroes or there is a super sweat who has a 20 million dollar jet that is completely beaming you with basically no way to fight back with your resources

Its also not fun and seems like the perfect place for people who care more about making sure other players don't have fun as opposed to having fun themselves. That said, I have about 2 minutes of playtime on this game.
i used to love slap battles, but i lost interest because of how grindy the gloves are and its just not as fun as it was in 2022 or 2023
The reason these games old games are unpopular is because the little timmys only want to play "good" games like pressure or doors or slap battles and dandys world and they dont wanna play good games like super bomb survival work at a pizza place survive the disasters classic (before the r15 only) natural disaster survival

Ah Yes Speed City, I remember back to the old days that we were trading some trails to get more powerful, The more we get trail, the more step we had back then and now i think ik why its dead because it was completly bug when we walk super fast sometimes it fling us and people are so annoying about why they never had a big map so instead they just not updating it for just legacy in my opinion.
Speed city was my childhood. I grew up playing that game, grinding it out every minute I had the chance.

madcity was peak when the non criminal teams actually did their job, and it was much better than jailbreak imo
now the game got boring and all the people who grinded it had overpowered gear which took a lot of time to get, so either there was 1rank 10 cop and 20 criminals or 3 teamer super players which instantly beamed you with a super omega helicopter that costs 60 million(while a 2 million helicopter which can shoot one missile is already hard to get and is pretty late game in comparison to most players)
so in order to balance this clear lack of heroes and cops they added police ai that will fight you like its gta
(which still get absolutely beamed by high level vehicles while being boring and uninteresting)
its honestly a shame for what happened to mad city from chapter1 where community was simply better and the games difficulty for both teams was very balanced, it had even different power levels between servers as sometimes the cops and heroes managed to get everyone in prison and then the crim team actually had to team up and start overpowering them, or it went the opposite way for a short time
point is the game was fun, harder, not too grindy but also rewarding and also had a power struggle between the teams(very overlooked)
it no longer has most of these things and the fun is mid

I think Madcity was a good alternate for Jailbreak, but Madcity definitely didn’t give as much quality as Jailbreak did. Jailbreak had a map thats memorizable, lore, and began with events first.

Elemental battleground was a nice PVP game, pretty much one of the well balanced skill based game I’ve ever played, it’s like strongest battleground, pvp with pure instincts, although the game is pretty much dead, they’re still some ebg addicts who’d play the game just for the pvp fun of it, sad to see it dying just cuz mygame43 doesn’t update the game anymore.
I'm one of those EBG addicts that stuck in the game for 6 YEARS since 2018. Though I haven't played it as much as before, I often visit there every once in a while just to relive those moments when the EBG world was thriving.

Mad city was one of my most played roblox games ever. I have bought many expensive cars and planes proving that i have been spending a lot of time on that game. However when chapter 2 came out i did not like with the direction they were going so i decided to quit playing it.

I wish kaiju universe was back I just got g21 when it got taken down I only got him to like lvl 21 but I had a g14 that was lvl 58 and now all those grinds were for “NOTHING” at all😭😭😭😭😭😭
They said they're still trying to get the license but right now they're making reskins of them so eventually your g21 will be put into the game just it'll look different
tbh i think the impossible obby should be on this list. it was an obby game that blew up back in 2020 and averaged a few thousand players every day which is insane for an obby. in 2021, the developer got banned along with the group which caused the game to stop updating. nowadays it averages 20-80 players and i still play it and think its a very well made game

Mad City when it came out was thought to kill off jailbreak. I played it since day 1 and when chapter 2 came along, it proved to be a massive disappointment. I did still play it for a bit untill the piggy update. I just quit the game altogether.

I use to grind the game several hours a day back in 2021, (even 2020 but didn't play as much) but once ch.2 released player count went to 10k, to 6k, to 3k, and now to 1k where it has died. Jailbreak however still consistently gets 20-25k players on weekends so congrats to them

I'm pretty sure that Kaiju Universe was deleted 2 seperate times, having to make 3 different games. I believe the gamepass ids were re-used so people who bought them won't have to buy it again. I was suprised that it was still up a year after I last played, until I realized they had to change everything to prevent more problems
I believe that the current Kaiju Universe could still had the potential to repopulates their game again by redesigning the kaijus into their own.
But still it had a reasons for the game to be taken down as they were illegally using and selling a characters that they don't even owned.
And it'll definitely need a licenses inorder to bring it's previous era of the game back, but knowing Toho, it'll be nearly impossible to claim the right of having it.
