    I've been looking for someone to explain how to get the transfer from not cracking, and I'm so glad I found your video! I've been having such awful problems with cracking and customer's shirts cracking. Thank you so much!! Straight and to the point, thanks for the explanation and tips!

    Mate you didn't have to worry about the "you know", not an issue at all. You put yourself out into the online world to teach others at no cost of their own. I thank you for your time and effort and after watching this i can say with surety, I do know!

    I was told, but a professional, NEVER use the Teflon sheet, when using ink. It can make your temp lose up to 15 degree color. Only use butcher paper on Inks. It really made sense to me! Hope you try!

    Actually very useful info, I've been wanting to print my own transfers and wondered how you did it. But I want to print onto dark garments and cutting around the printed part of the transfer to avoid the white background being printed on the dark shirt is the challenge. Apparently one can use a vinyl cutter which I have, but I've frankly hardly used that so don't how to do that cutout procedure yet. Thanks for sharing 👍🏼🙏🏻

      Make sure that the ink is completely dry (15-20 mins). Also, the clam shell press has less pressure at the top because of the hinge, so place it like he does, top of the shirt at the bottom of the press. That works for me.

      @urbanswagaddict  6 лет назад +1

      raymond cabadin lol. I would say learn it all but start with the simple methods of printing, which I believe is heat transfer paper. Definitely look into Heat transfer vinyl (I did a video without saying you know) on how that works and showed a few examples. If you get a chance check it out. I like vinyl because it's a clean process and can be done in limited space. Glitter vinyl is really popular and has a high demand. It's my go to

I've had it for about 3 years and works pretty good. even better I recently ran across off brand ink cartridges on amazon with total cost for cym and black xl for $22 bucks total. on the heat press side there so many and I suggest go for nothing smaller than a 16x20. the one in the video is a power press and costed a little over $300. • @urbanswagaddict
      @urbanswagaddict  6 лет назад +1

      don lee it's just for light colored and it does hold up well in the washer when applied right. 3g jet opaque is the name for dark colors

    Great tutorial thanks for sharing.
    Have you ever use htv and print and cut vinyl on heat press and what settings to use?
    I have a heat press sometimes it’s hard to lift that handle up when the timer goes off

    • @urbanswagaddict
      @urbanswagaddict  4 года назад

      I haven't used htv vinyl. But with the heat press i would recommend selling yours and purchase an auto open heatpress. That should definitely help reduce the work load.

    According to Neenah the supplier of the heat transfer paper, its a hot peel... Maybe that is why i saww you have some trouble peeling off after letting it cool down

    • @urbanswagaddict
      @urbanswagaddict  4 года назад +1

      I was having a problem doing hot peel. It would always leave some of the image on the paper. That's why I started trying this cold peel method.

      Yes it's lots of temp space you can use when doing the cold peel method. I've done 350 up to 375 getting pretty much the same results
