Hey “Two Dads” those boy got you good. When he said it had been repainted I thought they had done a very good job because all the door jambs had been painted. I think that sandy taupe is my favourite Landcruiser colour. Not very common on the 80, 100, 105 wagons but very common on the 78, 79’s. Great series. Cheers Stuart 🇦🇺

The bad fuel comment was good and interesting. Ive always wondered, what do people mean by bad fuel. Water, particulates, or others? Also what kills an engines fuel system that sees bad fuel? What is the mode of failure?

Paul seems like such a cool guy. I can listen to that South African accent all day long and the man is a wealth of knowledge! You would be lucky to have him spearhead a vehicle project for you as you would have an incredible vehicle with the proper kit when he turns it over to you. This is going to be a great series Andrew.

*What are your thoughts on the new Land Rover **-Defender-** Pretender?*
TATA saw an opportunity to start charging 2X as much for the brand, and took that opportunity, now it looks like any other land rover, rebranded with different body parts, they reskinned RR sport, or the discovery.

New defender is a great car but...it is not a Defender at all.
Personally i find its kinda sad that true offroads/harsh work machines are disappearing
But i can apreciate the luxury SUV market altho i still believe that there should be a place for new "metal beasts"
Lets hope that they bring back the old defender like toyota brought the 70 series
soon they will ban going offroad altogether, stage one is take away the means, stage two ban it and sell the land to the jews who will build houses there and sell them for millions

In one hand i feel like some laws must be enforced in what councerns nature protection but others go too far
For instance i do not like track destruction or opening new tracks that are not needed
I stay on the tracks and avoid destroying nature

Watching the blood run out of your face, reminded me of the 1989 Range Rover I purchased some years back, but my problem were knuckle head mechanic's. What you should do to get him back is when it's all finished spin him a yarn you have to pull the plug on the project because you had turn everything over to the receivers.
Our Cruiser 76 is currently at Snyman 4x4. 😋

I wish the 105s in usa had Solid axles under them instead of the independent front
The USA Land Cruisers were not 105s, but 100s. 105 is the designation for the solid axle set-up. But they never made any 105s with the engines we wanted. They were either slow diesels, or thirsty and not very powerful gas engines.
