I am so glad I found your videos!! I am just starting out in the jewelry making world. I've been recently disabled, so I need a hobby, and one that may bring in some income along the way is even better! Your videos help me tremendously! (I saw your comment about needing a Mac...I got a Mac AirBook for $400 on Amazon, and it's perfect!! Editing is a breeze with it!)
I started laughing! Tiger Tail, God I'm an old beady eyed lady! lol. I remember that from the peyote stitch and dreamcatcher earrings that were the rage! lol. Things are very sophisticated now! I love it!
Hi..I'm just starting out and your videos are a great help. I have a question though. I have some really heavy jade beads that I want to string into a necklace, is the 49 strand beading wire good for this? I'm worried that the knot/crimp won't hold. I've also seen some people recommend silk, which I've never used before. What do you recommend? Thanks :)
49 strand will be fine! Use the heaviest or thickest you can or double up and use two strands if you can. if you worry about the crimp holding use two or three on each end! let me know how it goes. I personally have never used silk so I don't know if that would be better or not. I would think it would fray but again I have no idea.
I know I bought a new laptop and hoped it would sinc but nope. I tried using a camera but I have to see the screen to know what I am showing people or the video is horrible. I need a mac!
Thanks I am trying to learn how to edit them, it is an uphill battle I am afraid. I need to go watch youtube videos on how to BUT I would rather play with jewelry.
Why in Lord's name did the industry manufacturers decide to *stop* calling this product beading 'cable'???? (I know, I'm old, it has been a long time. ) With multiple strands inside a sheath, it is more closely related to industrial metal cable. Calling it beading wire just leads to so much confusion and one more thing to try to remember AND differentiate. Silly marketing morons....... I've always hated Tigertail, it kinks in the worst way. As far as quality with a supple drape, minimal if any kinking, and loads of size and color choices, SoftFlex all the way. I believe Acculon is who makes what us oldsters think of as Tigertail, I won't buy it. Period. Beadalon is not much better - for some reason, it frays as I use it, and does hold onto a bend - it is a soft bend, but noticeable. Haven't bought it in years, and won't.. BTW - 20g is 0.81mm, 18g is 1.02mm but whatevah.....;-)

I have seen all your videos, I think you are great. The only problem is that your voice almost never goes with the image....
