John Lofgren has a wingtip in Shinki Hikaku “Cognac shell cordovan” but Shinki only offers Cognac Horse butt. Now if cordovan and horsebutt are the same thing then nvm but I thought horse butt was the one with the wild grain.? the leather on these himel bros.
Shinki sells shell both cordovan and horsebutt. These boots with the wild grain are 100% horsebutt... The shell cordovan they sell have a very glossy, almost waxy appearance to it. With that being said, all horsebutt does not have the grain that these boots have. Some horsebutt is smooth, and almost resembles a calf leather of sorts. Hopefully that helps
