I have the spb093. Having owned lots of watches. There is nothing as cool and classic as a dress watch. Its a bit deep, but it feels expensive and well made. On any leather strap, it looks stunning.

I also agree that there is no way Ashland (As much as I love the company and support them) is not stamping there own shells or they are having Horween put extra stamps on it for them. Of course Ashland isn't going to come out and say yes to it. They want their items to have that "desire" to them but at the same time there making it not so desirable when every single wallet that's made in shell has 1 or more ink stamps on it.

As you’ve probably already discovered, the Thomas heel will wear down quicker than you think. The neocork, on the other hand, will last almost a decade for the causal wearer.

I recently discovered Alden shoes and found the trubalance last to produce boots that feel like they're custom made. How have your 40538H worn? Any quibbles?

I did not know that Ashland had their own stamp. I spoke to Phil about some shells getting multiple stamps (because I have seen this before) and he was pretty adamant about his shells only having one stamp. But honestly, I am doubtful of this because I just don’t see how one would be able to get a perfectly centered stamp on nearly every single wallet? And sometimes multiples stamps on a single wallet?

John Lofgren has a wingtip in Shinki Hikaku “Cognac shell cordovan” but Shinki only offers Cognac Horse butt. Now if cordovan and horsebutt are the same thing then nvm but I thought horse butt was the one with the wild grain.? the leather on these himel bros.

Thanks for the reviews, with regards to thickness are they the same consistency throughout? Would you say these can be worn with sneakers I would like to wear them with rolled up trousers but with sneakers Are they gonna be too thick for sneakers? Or would you say they are specifically for boots?

Anordain sells similarly priced porcelain dial watches as well. Quite a different aesthetic though...
