    HOly shit. The design of these headphones is brilliant! Those 2 screw based systems for changed the headphone frame is amazing, and I wish all other headphones had this in them. Would love to see a visual meter guide comparing these 2 cans to see how similar, or whatever, they are. Like the dude from Scan Pro Audio did a while back with other similar mixing headphones.

    • @assshakerstudios549
      @assshakerstudios549 Год назад

      FYI from tests done on headphone software correction software.....try using Goodheartz CanOpener plugin after the eq correction software. As it really does something positive to the bass that cleans it up, which in turn makes the mid-range more apparent tme, and the crossfeed section is amazing and a must have fore cans! The guy from Scan Pro Audio turned me onto that. Then I noticed a few other people in my community using it as well in their mixes. Great tool for all headphones, but can be dangerous if you don't know how to use it. So reference Scan Pro Audio and see if there's some relevant info for you there.

    It's good to see positive reviews still coming out for these headphones. I love my Verum 1s. I bought my pair as part of the kickstarter. For me they're the ultimate techno cans. I put ZMF swede Ori pads on them, and it darkens them up. The bass timbre is phenomenal, especially lower and sub bass. You can really hear the structure of synthesised bass lines. I also have some Gold Planar GL2000 (double magnet array), and when it comes to timbre the Verum 1s are in another league. The GL2000 beat the Verum out when it comes to imaging, you can tell they're more tuned, and they're brighter and so excel at electric guitar, 70s and 80s etc. But for techno/house, reggae, hip-hop, anything with bass, I choose the verums every time. I listen to them 3 or 4 times a week, and they're holding up good.
    I also bought some HarmonicDyne Zeus for £300, and I consider them a complete ripoff when I compare them to the verum that cost me £270. I'm actually thinking of getting another pair of verums, to see if the latest models sound any better.

      @patrickalphenaar 2 года назад +1

      @@joseluishernandezseptien Hi, i also have the HD800S and also the HD600 but what Sonarworks does with the HD800S is cruel man! Not at all a correction for these great headphones. You just need a dedicated DAC and pre-amp like the HDV820 to not having those hyped highs which they are known for and enjoy the very “natural response” which will be gone with Sonarworks default measurement for the HD800S. Cheers

    • @joseluishernandezseptien
      @joseluishernandezseptien 2 года назад +3

      @@patrickalphenaar Thanks, Patrick! I don't know if I would describe it as cruel... The difference is barely noticeable actually so I don't use it often. It helps the bass a little bit. I think Sonarworks does a better job with the EQ of HD660s and LCD-X.
      I use the THX AAA Dacamp that has built-in EQ when I want to adjust it myself. The HDV820 is extremely expensive for what it is in my opinion but sure, it should make the HD800s sound a little better. Remember, I am not talking about pleasure listening but using them for mixing and mastering. Also there is the Morphit app that has a freqency response curve for them. Hope you like that one better if looking for a flatter response. Cheers!

    • @patrickalphenaar
      @patrickalphenaar 2 года назад +1

      @@joseluishernandezseptien Hi, Thanks! Yea there is a huge difference in my case when using Sonarworks therefore i dare to use the word “Cruel”. The bass level it adds is distorting a lot! When analyzing the Frequency response of the HD800S its just extremely flat from 40hz up to 500 with not more than +_ 0,2db difference so also very very boring to listen to. Below that yea its rolling off quite fast but Sonarworks doesn’t fix that while just boosting. The phasing in the top end is just unbearable. I also use it for mixing and Mastering. I use Antelope Orion 32+ as DAC and HDV820 as Pre-Amp and its an awesome combination. I dont need to use any correction software as my Room sounds somewhere between the HD800s and HD600 so i know i am good. Just learn your Room, Gear and you’ll compensate automatically. Cheers
