    That was fun 'n all, and I appreciate all the "jamming", but can we also talk specs like expected range? Weight limit? Tires/rims/axles? Battery capacity + charger?

      Hi, we will be sure to have more videos include the specs. For this Priority Current eBike all of the specs can be found on the product page: www.prioritybicycles.com/products/current

    Hi, Thanks for this nice tutorial on the 'Current' eBike. Wonder what makes one choose between shifting to a different gear as against choosing a different pedal-assist! For example, if one comes across a higher gradient, would one choose a lower gear or a higher level of pedal assist, because both end up in the same end result of a lower effort in pedalling. I'll appreciate your comments.

      Honestly the point of an ebike is to go faster. Max the power out and adjust gears as needed to maintain your pedaling cadence. The only reason I see to lower the power is to increase range or to not piss people off on a crowded path.

    Wondering what kind of grades it can handle?? I live up a 20% max grade that I do on my touring bike

    • @TowerEBikes

      A 20% grade should be no problem. We actually even made a video showing us test the current on a very steep hill here in San Diego. That video can be seen here: ruclips.net/video/8gQnYehYtkY/видео.html

    I'm waiting for the infrastructure bill to make an ebike purchase. I love the specs and really want the belt and CVT option that Priority has. Can't beat the idea of having virtually no maintenance, but want to have fun too. Do you feel like you can throw this around or is it pretty much a land creature? I'm not seeing any other bikes in the 3K range with the the belt and CVT and such a powerful motor like the Current has. I rode the Riese and Muller Supercharger today and didn't feel like I would enjoy myself on a land yacht weighing 70 lbs. Your thoughts?

      We've had a few Riese and Muller bikes come by our shop, specifically the Homage model which retails for 7k+. Given the price difference, with the Priority Current retailing at 3k, the current will definitely satisfy most customers' needs in a maintenance-free, belt driven ebike. As far as taking the current off paved roads, the tires are quite thin and you can tell Priority made the Current model for city commuters in mind. That's not to say it won't handle rubble and dirt but the Current definitely was not meant for off-roading as it has little to no suspension.

      @Chris, you also might wanna explore the Gazelle Ultimate C380+, though it doesn't claim much more (esp for the extra $) in terms of off-road capabilities.

    So, how fast did you get it up to…?

    • @TowerEBikes
      @TowerEBikes  2 года назад +1

      Hi Scott, we didn't change the factory settings so the peddle assist cuts out when you reach 20mph. Their website states that the settings can be changed to reach up to 28mph.

    No throttle makes it a deal breaker as far as I am concerned.

    Great presence but the use of terminology is scattered and frequently wrong.
    Use "gear" and "assistance" or "boost".
    And apply them consistently. At one point you called the gear "resistance". I was like what is he talking about?
    Re-shoot. You've got good presence, just need to get the right words out.

    Use the word gear instead of speed. Nice test ride!

    • @TowerEBikes
      @TowerEBikes  2 года назад +4

      Thanks! We like to use both, sometimes a manufacturer will reference their bike is "7 speed" instead of "7 gears" so we tend to follow suit with what the manufacturer of the bike details it as. But you are correct in saying they are interchangeable!

    Terrible review. Bike seems really slow top speed I saw was 19 MPH.
