If you have the chance to see JST in performance, it is money well spent. You will not see a guitar virtuoso anywhere else. Joanne is the best. She packs a lot of power and emotion into this song. Just waiting for her to come back to my neck of the woods.

Right from the start I felt captivated. It started with that great guitar playing, the band and then her vocals. Such a beautiful and heartbreaking song. It felt like it was played specially for me and went straight to my soul. At the end it was as if I was coming down with a bad case of the blues.....💙❣

This is my first introduction to Joanne Shaw Taylor and she really bowled me over in every way! There's absolutely nothing in her that I don't love from the heart. There is no shortage of decent female guitarists these days . . and among them there is no shortage of eye candy, to use the popular expression. But here is a lady who dresses modestly, yet exudes a smouldering sexuality all the same. Not that it's a competition per se, but just the same, Joanne has the best singing voice in all of female guitardom. And she's second to none of the mini-skirted, tight pants wearing, skin showing Blues beauties who are out there strutting their stuff on the guitar. Joanne has a note selection that perfectly complements her vocal style, and that's something her younger contemporaries have yet to develop.
Vocally she reminds me a bit of Annistacia from years ago with her sultry delivery
Her voice alone would pretty much guarantee her a shot at super-stardom, but then she turns up the volume on her guitar . . . and it's all over red rover, as far as I'm concerned!
Don't retire or anything, Joanne. you've given this septuagenarian something to keep living for!

I've seen her twice, probably ten years apart, and the way she has developed, especially her vocals, is wonderful. Always knew she'd be great and become well known and good to see it happening now. My wife and I saw her at Clowne Blues Club, Chesterfield, UK.(Or as my wife used to say 'Blues Clown Club!!). My wife tried to ask her a simple question, only to be 'dissed' by her "body guards"! So ignorant, and a few seconds would have gained so much more respect however, "WHAT A VOICE!!" .
This lady knows how to get deep felt emotion out of a guitar, and she has a great voice too. Why can I not hear her music on the radio?
