Many teachers, even those who are teaching math, are also people who have learned through the rote mechanism system so they may have memorised many concepts without fully understanding the nuances - the easiest example to understand is many times teachers say multiplication is repeated addition, but that is not true for fractions, or negative numbers etc. The lack of correct knowledge leads to fear
