Jarvfjallet!
Well I probably wouldn’t reply cuz I also hate talking to people ehe
Thanks for the info :) Just wondering how are you able to tell which personality you are?
Sir! Yes Sir!
I am an ISTP. I LOVE building furniture. My husband (INFJ) is always struggling in the background, while I get it done. We now have the mutual understanding that I am the furniture builder and he will stand aside
I love it too ommmgggg ENFP
I am an ISTJ -- but apparently an ISTP when it comes to putting together furniture. My husband has also wisely decided to stand aside while I am working.
@@queenofprops same here lol
This is great! When an ISTP friend helped me i was like "you saved my life" 😂 just the idea of these things stresses me out ..
So how do you guys view the INFJs asking for a friend 👉🏻👈🏻
@@Me-meow77 I'd do it. I enjoy it.
My imaginary friends are always like, "You can do it!" and "We believe in you!" and then I'm like, "Where did all this optimism come from?"
Mine are the same way
Yess! But then my self-doubt makes me procrastinate forever.
Lucky. Mine mock me in the voice of my sister. I have to power through out of spite.
i need to get new imaginary friends, all mine left me
we really start to wonder...

Thanks for putting together our furniture as well ISTP! 😅😅
Thank you ISTP!
Lolz thanx (infj)
TY ISTP!- INFJ
thanks! -INFP
As a Swedish INFP I love putting together ikea furniture and yet this is still way too accurate
Yes! Even if I have another person to help me I sideline them and let them do other things.. Such as getting me some food
Edit: Swede too
Is your government paying you 🤣
INFP here and I also love to assemble Ikea furniture, too!
INFJ from Finland and loving Ikea! It's like legos but for grown ups! And budget friendly as a bonus (totally not the reason I chose Ikea in the first place...)! #notsponsoredbytheswedishgovernment
@@erikavaleries You only get paid by the goverment if you buy a framed painting of Ingvar Kamprad and keep it on your living room wall for 35 years straight
As an ISTP, Two years ago I had the same situation with my friend I did all the work while they were arguing about dividing it, luckily building things is my nature, it took them 45 minutes to realize that the bench is already ready to be used.
You ISTP's keep the world running for the rest of use!
Lol. I'm also an ISTP. I did about the same for my father with a coffee table
I respect you guys🥲🥲
As a Swedish person it is always fun to hear people try and say the names of the items! Great Video!
I know a bit of Swedish and the feeling of superiority when I can pronounce the names correctly and understand them is enough to keep me cackling for a day
As a Swedish person I never really got why people apparently like furniture better if they're named in my language.
...Though I guess it's harder to actively make fun of IKEA's weird-ass naming sense if you can't understand the words.
Who the frak names an office chair "Wolverine Mountain"?
Jajamensan!
As a Dane I found this funny too, although Swedish and Danish have very different pronunciations despite being related languages. But we’re brought up learning a bit of Swedish and Norwegian at school, so it’s easier for us to pronounce compared to, say, Americans (Americans in particular though!🤣).
Back in the '60s, Sweden switched the entire country from driving on the left like the UK to driving on the right like most of continental Europe -- in one weekend! The logistics behind this are astounding.
A country with that level of organization and initiative should be able to clean up the language so it doesn't need all those extra weird symbols. Just saying.
As an INTJ I love putting together IKEA furniture. It's like playing with giant legos and I loved that as a small child.
I actually think of creating a side hustle where people hire me to assemble things for them but I don't know how keen they'd be on hiring a minor.
yeah im an INTJ and i could easily go all day just building furniture its fun :)
Giant legos is accurate, I love it. Now if only I could actually afford this IKEA-assembly addiction...
maybe you are an ISTJ
I'm sure ENTJ is willing to pay you a dollar. Better than his nephew.
If you do a good job and are polite and respectful towards the adults you'd get hired easily. Most adults would rather pay than deal with this type of stuff. Same goes for house maintenance, yard maintenance etc., all the jobs that require a bunch of strength, stamina and patience, traits that seem to decrease with age.
as an INFJ who consistently calls her dad to “help” her with furniture (put it together for me), this is accurate😂😂
My dad is very elderly now, and is most likely an ENFP. However, even in his younger days, he was the worse person to call for this sort of thing. My mother, however, (who we suspect was an ISTJ) was actually able to assemble flat pack furniture.
As an ISTP, I couldn't wait to see how well we handle IKEA furniture compared to the others, and I wasn't disappointed. This was 100% accurate.
same
I'm INFJ who broke a bookshelf. I have no idea what all those little *things* are. I cannot tell you how much your skills are appreciated!
Same. I'm also an ISTP. I built a whole coffee table for my father in two days without him telling me to do so.
@odingallow3083 I built a coffee table for my mum years ago, and it's still standing. My mum and sister tried to put together a dining table at the same time and completely ignored my advice. The table became loose and woberly in months, whilst my coffee table is still strong enough to stand on.
@@aleishamclean that's the power of being an ISTP.
Lord INTJs IKEA being a metaphor for Life is spot on!
Also loved the wit in this one!❤️
I figure it took special circumstances for the INTJ to decide on shopping furniture in the first place.
My INTJ brother moved into an empty new apartment and was like, "Eh, I'm only going to live here a year or two, tops. I'll put a sleeping bag on the floor and call it done, it'll save me so much hassle when I move out."
INTPs have an additional step to assembling such items that was omitted: procrastinating from assembling them for several months or years. (I have a book shelf that I didn’t assemble until after I’d moved/relocated twice.)
My mom had gotten me a filing drawer thing to build to organize my ostomy supplies in one Christmas. It took me about a year shortly before next Christmas to finally get around to building the thing. Now after a month or so later I have still yet to organize the rest of my supplies in it as it sits awkwardly positioned off the side of the foot of my bed being used as extra table space.
I saw the title and came to see how easily ISTP would do it.
Same Lol. I was waiting with bated breath fkr ISTP the whole time and was not disappointed
I waited for ISTP the whole time because it's my type, but I wasn't disappointed!
Obsessed with the INFJ/ISTP interaction at the end 🤣 I’m an INFJ married to an ISTP and I put together all the ikea furniture while he was at work haha he was proud
If I was him (I'm also an ISTP) I would be proud too lol
I wonder if INFJ is my type too because I always wait till I am alone to put things together. Otherwise people will try to do it for me and I don't always want that.
As an INFP, the imagery friend is insultingly accurate 😅
right?? ;-;
This is absolutely hilarious 😆! Especially the end with INFJ freaking about going to IKEA and the process of putting it together while the ISTP does it and is so cold he leaves immediately after 😂🤣♥️♥️♥️
😂 Maybe we should all stick to inflatable furniture.
Sorcery.... How'd you comment this 16 hours ago?-
You commented 16 hours ago? Are you from the future!?!?
Or camping furniture that unfolds easily. Cots, chairs. Kitchens, tables.
@Warrior Girl i think it's members early access
And pop it 😂
I'm an INTJ and I love building IKEA furniture. One time, we bought a ton at once and I basically built all of it in one day without a break and I forgot to eat lol because I was just so engaged in it and so determined to get it done. I did it without help btw, just myself. (I had literally nothing to do that day so that's why I did nothing but build IKEA furniture).
000
As an intj, it triggers me that you said the same thing three times in one comment.
No, I won't apologize for being offensive, or having you scroll down here. You're already 6 inches deep.
This resonates with me so much as a fellow INTJ haha
There's that introverted intuition and awful introverted sensing haha -infj
As an ENTP who literally collects leftover screws...well played sir...
Although I'll have you know the furniture I built only squeaks and wobbles SOMEtimes.
At this point, I just know they're including extra screws in case I lose one. They're so thoughtful. But I'm clean and organized and never lose them. That's why I put the extra screws in an unlabeled box with a ton of other extra parts from various different things!
Yes, as a single INTP I'd be able to put that furniture together pretty easily (I'm even the one my mom calls to put hers together... Not even her husband 😂).
I've put My furniture together with minimal issues and curses... After leaving it for like 2 weeks+ leaning against the wall, of course. I'll get to it!
Unless it's a chair and looks comfortable, in which case I'll assemble it immediately. -INTP
I see my ability of being able to assemble my own furniture as a strength that should improve my status in the eyes of a potential mate….😇🤓
@@raddaks2039I have found my people
I can do it but I have to get to it alone…when someone tries to help I just can’t, everything becomes chaotic mess and humanoid being “helping me” isn’t listening to reason (usually at least)
You need to wait for the right moment in time to do this
Oh man. The number of things I’ve built without once looking at the instructions. This is so spot on. - ENTP
It's so nice of them to always include extra screws.
It's so nice that they include some highly interpretable guidelines to MAYBE keep in mind for the less intuitive among us.
I love how Frank perfectly plays many different characters, and is convincing each time. Also, life IS like building furniture, in that you don't know what you're even doing half the time! 😂😅
@@AdorableOracle That's a challenging type of friend to make... good luck :D
@@WritingsOfQuill I did win the heart of an ESTJ once! I'm up to the task. :)
Unless you’re an ISTP apparently.
I'm an INFJ, and I gasped at the same time when I heard ISTP already build it up for the INFJ because that's exactly my reaction when my ISTP friend did something similar for me 😆
Bless you, ISTPs 🙏
Yes, bless you! 😊
We're just here to help!
I'm INTP and I love assembling stuff, literally any stuff. It's like enrichment for me. Never understood why IKEA ended up with a reputation of endless frustration.
Same. When my husband (istp) and I (intp) bild IKEA-furniture he dives right in while I read the manual first (he goes by "when everything else fails: read the manual"). We ended up with the perfect teamwork: I read the manual and tell him what, where and when, plus hand him the correct screws etc.
Once I assembled a big cupboard with the help of my youngest daughter (5-6 yo) and she took care of all the screws and small stuff. Only problem was that I had to use the correct "name" of each screw to get it from "her store"... So we still use some of those terms! A round sort of anchor for a screw is still "a sumo wrestler"... 😂😂😂
I'm also an INTP and actually wanted to make a comment, writing pretty much exactly what you wrote.
IKEA is really great compared to others. The building techniques are so very efficient, they achieve a high grade of stability with the least amount of extra materials used.
Can we just appreciate how this one man plays 16 different people so perfectly?
the way im sure we ALL knew this would be a piece of cake for ISTP
You never run out of ideas, one day, I am going to see “16 personalities as flavors of ramen” like how do you come up with this stuff.
😄
Magic, you know. Never believe it's not so.
As an INFP, I'd appreciate my imaginary friends assemble IKEA furniture for me
Maybe it's hormones, but the INFJ-ISTP scene made me shed a tear because I felt so much love there for some reason between them. The INFJ, stuck in their head, only to be pulled out by the ISTP doing that act of service for them. The INFJ probably had a great convo (over text) with the ISTP later.
And the ISTP didn't care! (As an ISTP myself I know that I wouldn't care because I do this thing all the time).
I am an INFJ who actually loves going to IKEA and loves to build IKEA furniture by myself 🤷♀️ My husband on the other hand is an ISTP and he will judge the living daylights out of the materials (not good quality, he's a wood worker) so it gets to the point that I can't hear myself think so I have to tell him to leave so I can finish assembling the furniture 😂 no point in asking for help, same thing happens every time so I build it and only call him when I need help picking it up
My dad also criticizes the quality of IKEA products, I don't know his type, but I'm the ISTP of the house.
As an INTJ I actually enjoy assembling their stuff however sometimes I do get angry when I’m stuck. Can’t help it 😂
Same here /INTJ
Same, I’m an ENTJ
Let's be honest--we all knew from the start that ISTP would be the only one capable of building this furniture
INTP and ISFJ did it too :D
Pretty sure ISTJ could do it too, they just complained ^^ and from the comments here, INTJs apparently too :D
...but as an ENFP, I am so damn sure that they called a friend in the end...
Nah, so many others could too. But most won’t enjoy it as much as an ISTP.
Yea. We're kinda the only one who actually *enjoy* making IKEA furniture.
Yes of course
Yesss
As an ENFP growing up with 2 ISFJs (and dad never did the test, so yeah...) I was always the one in charge of putting stuff together. Last project "we" did "together" was some chairs+bench+table balcony/garden set, that I sanded, assembled and varnished by myself. 😂 (My bro just occasionally dropped by to ask "if I need any help" knowing that I don't need help lol)
Now, I'm married to an INTJ and oh boy, our projects are a bunch of fun, and surprisingly, we make a good team. Productivity at its best.
My ENFP best friend would definitely excel at this as long as it holds her interest. She will quickly become an expert at something until she gets bored with it. But while she is in that zone, she is the go to person!
I have ISTP female friend and she help me to assemble the damn wardrobe of mine just in 3 hours. Well, if that myself who done it, maybe need 9 hours and it's gonna upside down. Love ya ISTP.
INTJ speaking.
As an INFJ who loves ikea(just grab your headphones and focus on what you need, it’s big enough that staff won’t talk to you, and few people on the weekdays) and putting together furniture I might be the minority, mostly because I love making my house as cozy as possible so I have a good reason never to leave. And building is all about logic and it helps me take my mind if everything else! Though maybe not the best idea while I was suppose to be working 😅
I've never been waiting so long for ISTP to appear
When it comes to building IKEA furniture, I'm exactly like the ISTP 😎
I'm an ENFJ btw
I guess people can behave as their polar opposite if needed...
I read all the instructions about a new item and then assemble the thing. (INFJ)
@@grababundoberni I know right? I found out that under extreme stress, I go into "ISTP mode" for "self-preservation". And it works wonders!
I love it when Frank releases his 16 Types videos with an unexpected theme
ENTJ's "As a busy professional, I ain't got time to put this stuff together, okay?" is 100% my mom (who is an ENTJ) 😂
So she usually ends up calling me to help and luckily for both of us, I find assembling IKEA furniture a fun puzzle-like activity and I (an INFP) love puzzles, so it all usually works out! 😁
I’m an ENTJ and a busy college student and when I don’t have time to do something I call my mom to do it for me, who is also an ENTJ. My mom is a pre-k teacher and keeps a very busy life aside from that helping all 4 of us kids all the time, lol. If I see I can help her in some way when she’s busy and I’m not then I do and when she really needs help she makes the whole family help and tells us what specific task she wants each person to do and how she wants them to do it. She does things with us because she is afraid we’ll mess things up without her, but she calls in everyone so that we get it done much faster with more people. As an ENTJ though I do enjoy putting furniture together like a puzzle if I have the time to do it!
This is so funny! And I've never been to Ikea! The ESTP with the f-bonbs, beers, etc. cracked me up! As an INFJ, putting together furniture is such a chore!! I hate Allen, Larry or whatever you wanna call him! 🤣🙌
P.S. Thanks for the early access for channel members!💜
I was gonna say, how did you comment an hour ago lol. The P.S. comment explanation helped 👍
"1 hour ago"
Time to experience IKEA 😍 Get ready to want to move into a furniture store. And eat endless meatballs.
@@erikavaleries 😂 Oh yeah? That would be ideal! I'd never have to build another thing!
The ISTJ and INTJ analogies for the the furniture are spot on. I like how both are angry but you can see the difference between the introverted, intuition and introverted sensing based on the analogies they give.
As an ENFP I've always wondered the weird names the Allen wrench would have if he was called something else 😂 also I don't use instructions only pictures like my similar personality ENTP
Like an ENFP would EVER read instructions 😂😂😂 except searching thru the trash 🤣🤣🤣
@@erikavaleries 😂😂😂🤣🤣 true true very true
@@annelisewilliams03 guilty as charged 🤣 why I don't bake
Names should always reflect what things are and things should not be named after people
Haha! Now that I’m older I actually read the instructions after having ruined too many projects when I was younger by just “figuring it out” myself 🙃 I’ve wondered why it’s called an Allen key or an Allen wrench. A key and a wrench are two very different things! Pick one, Allen! 🤪
This is weird. I'm reading a lot of INFPs have had positive experiences with IKEA (and I'm one of them). In fact, the only time I had a downer with it is when I went out to get lunch, and -- when I came back -- my ISTP landlord had the bed frame assembled in less than half an hour.
same I love IKEA! I always want to go there and browse forgetting how overwhelming it is with the crowds/stimulation, but always love putting together the furniture :) it's like a puzzle :) And feels nice when it's done. I think its a very introvert mindful moment too, be in our own bubble. 95% of my furniture is Ikea ^-^' I love feeling connected to Scandinavia too (miss Denmark - a wonderful place for INFPs, as is Sweden) x
It seems like you guys have the patience to just do it slowly like a puzzle ^^
IKEA really seems to be an introvert's thing though. Have not found an extrovert in the comments who likes it...
Why is the INFP imaginary friend thing so relatable! XD (even though I’m an ENFP)
I am a swede and I find it hilarious that IKEA just decided to not translate any of the names 😂 Frankley we barley understand them either, they are called the most random things. There is a trash can called “Giggle”, a toy moose called “Squirrel” and a drawer called “Flirt”
I'm an INFJ, and I love the whole experience of going to IKEA and assembling everything. I don't get to go often, because the closest one is 3 hours away, so it's a treat when I do get to go!
Okay same I love going through furniture stores (I don’t think I’ve been in an ikea ever… but it’s probably the same feeling I would get in a forever 21 unless it’s organized like a charming Charlie’s lol) because I get stuck in my imagination of decor and story lines and everything in between … I also like the forced concentration that putting together furniture can cause and I usually like to do it by myself because it’s my time to think but I like for people to do the bigger stuff for me because it can take so much energy but so rewarding, also side note if I could I’d buy every house fully furnished/assembled and I’ll do like book shelves and maybe a dresser or two
@@just.callmemack Haha same here!! We have furniture stores close by. I’d go there with my cousin or alone as a teen just to admire the furniture for daydreaming purposes😂🥲 And I enjoy assembling them too - preferably on my own.
@@Seca95 yeah I can only build things with certain people that have patience and won’t get in my way hahaha but that are also good with putting stuff together if I can’t figure something out
@@just.callmemack True that, it’s OK as long as the other person is calm and patient - the only person whose company I appreciate when assembling furniture is my mom (ISFJ)
Yep, exactly. With an ISTP husband and an INTP son, this INFJ is set, just in case my thoughts take over while I’m putting my stuff together. They both basically put things together with their eyes closed. I could definitely do it myself, but they do it much faster.. and I can help them feel more fulfilled in life - it’s a win-win. 👍🏼👍🏼
The video editing gets better every time! The INFJ is hilarious 😂
Video idea--what if the 16 personalities were art supplies? Or what if art supplies were people?
There are great art supply RUclipsrs!
Avengers, assemble! I wish that I could call a construction team like this, it'd be epic!
The ENTP is scarily accurate. As a kid, I used to build Lego sets by looking at the finished set cover photo. Apparently that skill doesn't translate to IKEA furniture, but I'm going to keep trying until it does 🤙
Lmaooo you guys are crazy 😭 I came into the comment section to check ENTPs responses and you guys are for real 😂 this is something I wish I could see with my own eyes, the process and how does your brain works. Truly entertaining.
This reminds me of my best friend who is an ESFP. I’m an ENTJ and once we built furniture together and decided to split up the work since we had to put the tiny things together before we needed to move big things together one at a time. She is extremely extroverted, overconfident, and assertive. She said in the beginning, “I’ve got this just by looking at the pictures, I’ve worked around my dad’s job my whole life”. Her dad is a car mechanic. I told her I think you should really read it but she didn’t. Next thing I know, my part is done and me and our other friend are putting it together while she and another friend run to get food, and realizing we don’t have the screws we need because she used the wrong ones in earlier steps and that she also put screws and other things holding it together in the wrong places. So then we had to undo and redo nearly everything she did while she was out
As an Infj, building IKEA furniture is like a challenge to me😂
Last month I put a small cabinet together all by myself even though the instructions said not to. I'm such a rebel 😎
-INFP
As an ISFJ I love putting ikea furniture together! Just like I love sewing, pottery and loved lego sets as a kid. It's building something useful out of seemingly nothing by following the instructions. Perfect thing to use my Ti and make it sensory and tangible!
IKEA is the only place you can summon a demon in less than 30 seconds
INFP is accurate
What this video taught me is I need an ISTP to put together my furniture while I dissociate. Sounds perfect! 🤣
The ISFJ humor was spot on 😅
As an INTJ, I love my ISTP dad he builds my stuff without the need of gorilla tape, which is good as I can save the tape for when he's too busy to help me build/fix other things.
Swedish INFJ here! 🇸🇪
I like going to IKEA once in a while, but not too often. My ESFP husband really likes the meatballs, and so do I 🙂
Your government or Ikea should pay you for the endorsement! And Frank 🤣
I move often enough that IKEA or knock offs are my favorite brands
To all of my fellow INFPs, you can use the wall (or other sturdy furniture) or hold things with your legs while tightening other parts. I have put together many large pieces of furniture/stuff alone 🥰
"unless you know something I don't know, and our office is moving to the top floor of the leaning tower of Pisa, this ain''t gonna cut it" 😂sounds like something I would say when I'm mad 😁
This is my favorite ESTJ joke so far.
haha thanks i was proud of it
Do other ENFPs love to build IKEA stuff? I ❤️ it & Swedish meatballs. Remember when people filmed a soap opera in an Ikea? And someone changed all the arrows in the floor plan? I should move to Sweden.
I don’t, but my teenage ENFP son loves it and does it with so much ease. While following instructions! 🤯 He also loves puzzles and complicated LEGO projects. -ENFP
ENFJ having the mega-optomism to call up "Avengers" to help is too accurate!! 😂
"You did all that... for THAT??"
I didn't expect the infp to be so accurate 🤣
I have bought furnitures from Ikea many times and I live close by an
Ikea store in sweden.
I have built most things by myself , I would have built all things if I didn't had parents who have told me I can hurt myself if I do it alone so they leave me with no other choice then letting them help me.
But I have built things where it usually show two people, like big shelves, tables, beds, chairs, a couch, and so much more and I have had no problem.
I enjoy building furniters but only alone because other people often do something wrong or they get so angry at the furniture that it stresses me out, I can't deal with that 😅
Frank, your videos cheer me up perfectly on Fridays! TY I would totally construct a complicated wardrobe for you!!
Funny because I've noticed how complicated Frank's wardrobe is
When I was in college it took me 8 hours to assemble an Ikea computer desk. Ugh 🙃lol
Will IKEA sponsor this if you make a series!? 🤣 16 personalities as IKEA furniture, as unpronounceable names, as meatball sauces & Swedish condiments, as couples arguing in IKEA, as alternative uses for cardboard boxes and leftovers wrenches, wow I see why your job is fun now!
Me (INFP) and my mom (ISTJ) like putting furniture together. I find it relaxing somehow, just like sewing :D sometimes its great to try and be in the moment for a brief while, so my mind is calm until the next things starts running in my head :D
It's the first time since forever that I as an INFJ don't fit the image Frank has shown us and it's always near perfect. For a change I'm great with IKEA furniture, in the past I've always assembled them on my own for my parents, it was just fun exercise and a way to use tools I otherwise never even see. And IKEA isn't a maze, like you just follow the lines, it's a very non-linear path I will give you that, but it's one directional. Then again I'm great with maps and orientation, if I go anywhere on foot I can retrace my steps always and I mean always, no matter how many years ago it was. Comes handy during vacation and when playing games. But I can deffnitely see how others could have problems with either and just because I'm good at these things doesn't mean you have to, but then again I'm sure you can get there with just a little nudge.
Same here, you decsribed my experience as well. INFJ and I love putting stuff together, and I'm good at following maps etc. It's just stereotypes what Frank puts on the videos, so I expected INFJ to be confused and overthinking one. It bores me sometimes but it's supposed to be a funny video, so. But when it comes to reality - I think skills like orientation and perception are barely influenced by personality. It just depends if you had an opportunity to develop those skills in your life or not. Some personalities are just driven to develop them, and some aren't. I always liked "real life puzzle" like fixing stuff and doing manual things like art.
I'm good at building ikea furniture and directions, but I agree with Frank in the sense that 1) ikea is a sensory overload and 2) I can put together furniture, but often someone else appears and does it for me, e.g., like a sibling. It's just a strategy.
- INFJ
I agree. I too enjoy assembling furniture and I am very good with maps and directions too, so much so that people call me a walking GPS, and I’m the one who holds the map on vacations etc. Sometimes it makes me doubt my MBTI and consider if I’m actually ISFJ. But I don’t feel like an Si dominant. Ni dom + Se inf define me better. But perhaps this thing with directions and assembling furniture can be explained with one’s enneagram too?
-INFJ 6w5
@@Seca95 It has almost nothing to do with personality, man. Niether MBTI, nor Ennagram. The skills you have are based on what you have learnt and what you've been taught, and your environment that shaped you and gave you opportunities. Also, if your parents were good at something you probably inhereted those skills, such as good perception skills or good math skills. Personality and cognitive skills (like IQ, perception, memory, attention) run in genes, but there're two totally different things. Personality can drive some people to explore and develop some skills, or make people like certain activities more than others, but it's not limiting anyone from what they can do. Personality is more about how you make decisions, not what skills you are good at. For your own good and peace of mind - there's no point searching for a personality explaination why you're good with certain skills. And there's no point doubting your personality if you don't fit a very simplified stereotype of it.
Because infjs are Se inferior meaning Infj and intjs involving themselves in the external world comes less naturally to them and can sometimes overwhelm them
😆 the color shifting as the INFJ began to dissociate was perfect 👏🏼👏🏼 awesome detail
As an ISFJ, yes. Please let me hide in my box until I learn to tell people no and put myself first. 😹
Infj was so happy, we need more infj and istp stuff 😂
Despite being an INFP, I actually enjoy doing DIY projects on my own. Even assembled a glass display case bigger and way heavier than me on my own. Almost crushed my foot and hand under it but it was fun building it. 😆
INFJ here. You know, getting stuff from IKEA delivered is a blessing. I've been to IKEA twice and the last time was in 2014. I love building furniture, it's a satisfying struggle and I'm good at it lol
My INTP representation is absolutely right in that these things are a lot easier and straightforward when you just do it alone. Everything I put together solo, works fine, the one project I let my Dad help with, and the keyboard tray is wonky. I let it pass because I use that desk for my work laptop, and don't need/use the keyboard tray, but still, should've done it alone.
And Mr. Perkins is ridiculously accurate. An old friend had a cat who loved boxes. We did watch him once spend 10 minutes squeezing himself into a box half his size, he successfully just about managed it. Proud of his commitment to his weird fascination with boxes
As a fellow ENFJ I'ld first try to assemble it then quit and call ma friends then we all quit and go eat
Well, Järvfjället is a pretty badass name. It means wolverine mountain!
As a Swede, this is hilarious to watch. Ikea was founded as part of Sweden's secret plan to make the world suffer.
WHOA 🤣 Where do they think of this stuff 😂
I HAVE THAT CHAIR 🤣 It's kind of uncomfortable but looks expensive and ergonomic.
putting together IKEA furniture is like putting together a puzzle
really fun
- ISTP
This INFP heartily agrees! 😁
ENFP yes indeed
Hahaha 😂 you made my miserable day today a whole lot better … tack själv (thank you) 💙
“What did you expect? I’m imaginary?”
😂😂😂
I'm an INFJ but i'm the only person that is able to build all the IKEA furniture in my family. I'm not sure if I'm happy with that title, but both my INFP boyfriend and my ESTJ mom look at the first page of a booklet and call it quits. At least my boyfriend and I end up collabing when it becomes too hard; but my mom will never, in a million years, try to at least put some effort into understanding any steps on how to build this furniture. It just gets delegated to me😔
To make this more enjoyable, I just call it my "me time", and put music while I build it (also oddly enough, I get paranoid that if I don't do it myself, it will come out wrong - so there's that fun little addittion in the mix😥)
I always scream WHY ARE THERE NO WORDS? WHY CAN'T THERE JUST BE WORDDDDS? every time i gotta build this shit. INFJ
As a Swedish INFJ I love the puzzles of putting IKEA furniture together. 😎👍it's fun and gives you a feeling of accomplishment as well 😂
Oh God ESTJ cannot be more accurate.
One of our interns assembled my office chair… and the damn thing moved sideways.
He did such a crappy job putting my chair together. He told me the quality wasn’t good. So I showed him how the instructions told him to Align the wheels a certain way… and I did it. It worked!
The little shit just stood there and just said, “oh”.
I told him next time furniture arrives for me… just bring the box. I’ll do it myself.
Wish I could fire him but he doesn’t work for me.

As an INFJ I'm surprisingly having fun constructing IKEA things, it's like solving a puzzle of something I can enjoy way after finishing it. I don't know if it matches an INFJ POV at all, but it surely makes my Judging, introverted side happy.
Unless it's too complex or heavy and needs more then one person, then it would be a nightmare.
Even as an INTJ, I've typically had the ISTP experience. They're just big old Legos and I love seeing something come together just right! I used to volunteer to put together stuff for my friends as long as they promised to minimize conversations and socializing with we while I worked.
I'm not as efficient as my mom is, though, she's got a special skill for this stuff!
INTP here, and I love assembling furniture, especially by myself. Any time I see instructions that 'require' two people, I think "Challenge Accepted."
You know it's the good part of the week when FJ releases 16 personalities comedy sketches.
BTW, you joke about the INTJ, but assembling furniture causes me existential crises for real. That inner emptiness and dissatisfaction I feel every single time, ahhh.
INTJ- I had to disassemble an IKEA bedframe because I wanted in another room but I couldn't move it thru the doorway. Then I had to reassemble it in the other room. I happy where it is now but the non-ikea bedframe is way easier to assemble and disassemble. That's life
Have a great weekend. Stay cool and attractive 😎
Thanks so much!!
Ha ha ha, I WISH someone would do things while I was thinking about doing things. Have a great weekend Frank! :)
Love the vid. I have a question. Is it possible to be a mix between two personality types?
no, you have just one type, but all types have overlap with each other so it is common to relate to more than one!
@@FrankJames alright, thanks!
As an INTP who loves ikea. Yes, I was definitely getting mad at myself and/or at my boyfriend (INFJ), who would help me. I think after the 2nd Ikea furniture we built together, he knows to stay away and only asks if i need help lifting the items. 😅
Another INFP from Sweden here. Love assembling IKEA furniture. 😃 I even assembled the furniture for my ISTP partners mom! He is Danish though so I guess he is excused. I'm thinking IKEA skill might be inherent in Swedes... 😉 Yays for adult Lego! 😁
Sweden is my personality country at the moment
Loove Ikea and assembling the furniture :) And love feeling connected to Scandinavia (Denmark and Sweden feel like home to me) - INFP from Australia
I'm an ISTJ who is convinced the instructions are written by some NFP type because I cannot for the life of me decipher them.
0:39 teamwork makes the dreamwork😭
As an isfp who just built a guitar rack (not ikea tho) im overthinking if itll fall off anytime soon sksk xd
intp- i actually really like putting together ikea furniture it kinda feels like solving a jigsaw puzzle
I am pretty good with these things even tho I rarely do something practical like that (enfj). That is tho because my INTJ Dad's love language is acts of service and he is an technical engineer so he made/repaired/build everything in my youth without explaining things. But now if I have to do something like that, I always put him on speed dile asking for advice while doing it myself or I ask him to come over and bond over it by doing it together. Win win 😊.
The ducktape anology is on point tho! We kinda joke we can always resort to that but if I don't pay attention and let him do his thing he can make some very poor estatically choices like not centering things or choosing the easiest for hands and cheapest material he can find to quickly resolve a need/problem. Great for real problems not so much for me trying to ecstatically trying to inprove my place 😂.
I mean, this was necessary video... Thanks for walking us through. Did You have fun assembling it? 🎶🤗🌟😻
As a beatlemaniac here, I appreciated the reference. Also, we love the new name tages you had us vote on!!
