My INFP self fully agrees with the option of trying to see if I can find somewhere to fit in.😂 But my nerd side just kinda wanna time travel anytime, anywhere and see famous events and famous people and everything. Like, how cool it'd be to get to see with your own eyes all the people or awesome places you only know through history books? 😃
Exactly! It’s more about just wanting to hop around and travel in general, free from any modern inconveniences of life, but to just get to travel from place to place, all throughout history, and just be a fly on the wall? Well that would be like a dream come true!

I would go wayyy back in time, to the first living organisms, and stomp every living creature out of existence. I want to eradicate life as a whole. Or maybe life would evolve differently. Either way, humans would probably cease to exist and would be replaced by something else. Just the way I want it.

What Frank was doing is he was trying to make us look like if we actually had the ability to time travel that we would be so power and accolade seeking that we would actually screw up Socrates who was martyred for telling people intellectual and spiritual truths by a bunch of idiots who were probably guardian type personalities such as the istj who don't like the status quo challenged. Humanity might "evolve" here and there but I'm pretty sure most of us will still have the same base flaws. What I've learned though is that a major portion of humanity is uncapable to mentally take care of a crisis and/or cooperate during it. We would still revolve as soon as something mildly inconvenient which is out of our control happens. We would still blame external factors and lie to ourselves that it isn't real or that it's just a scheme made by the government as a way to cope. The mentally weak would still choose ignorance over truth. So yes, if one day, an actual life threatening event happens then we would be doomed. If not then I don't know. It's hard to predict as far into the future.

How optimistic of you to think our species will be alive in 200 years. With climate change, we will likely go extinct by the end of this century, especially since we vehemently refuse to adapt. And that's excluding the post credit scene with nuclear weapons.
Very very doubtful my black unicorn interpretation of the future is that bill gates succeeded in culling the masses and made the surviving unaltered breedable humans ten percent of the population plus the Amish and a few Jewish and messianic sects, fundamentalist mormans, Jehovahs witnesses and scattered indigenous uncontacted tribes across the globe. The gene pool never did really survive this. the Japanese, and Chinese irradicated themselves because they never recovered from there population control of the eighties and telling their twenty seven year old women they were old maids and not addressing the single male incel issue was the final nail in their coffin.The best idea is to take your inner circle think tank up real time machine and take every one to an unoccupied point of history that has all the physical considerations you need then reseed the globe with a race that renders vogon like personalities ineffective. You want to give the intellectual types and the enfps and the isfjs ( mainly the male isfjs) most of the power of decision making, but istps can also have their say as long as they understand that in this scenario power of say so also means thinking about your group as a whole and personal responsibility for that.
Not sure THIS ENTP would do the whole “Hitler’s Barber” bit, but as a thought experiment it is fun. Not to mention, it would have eliminated thousands of very tragic Sr Class photos from the 80s... Even in an alternate timeline, no one would want the same haircut as Hitler 🤷🏼♀️

Right but in a much truer sense, i have realised that all my past experiences have contributed to the person i am today. The bad experiences actually have had a significant impact in making me a better person. E.g. my kindergarten teachers switching my dominant writing hand from left to right. Today, I can't write with my left hand. But i do everything else with it WHILE writing with my right hand simultaneously. I can draw with both hands. And write on a chalk board with both too. But it is a blessing to be able to write with my right hand (since my jobs require me to do a lot of writing) and eat my food with my left hand simultaneously because i do not like wasting my time just eating or pooping. I have to do something while doing those things. So i wouldn't change the past. Even though i would want to. I would love to go back in time to a few scenarios and tell past me that it does get better, and the pain is temporary. I have learned to do that now when i have moments where i feel extremely pushed to feel overwhelmed. I tell myself, things will get better. And i write letters and put out voice messages to help myself for events that could play out a certain way in the future.

He very cleverly made us look petty and power seeking simply for the sake of power seeking itself. The reason we want power is not purely for the control but to actually improve the world. we of course want acknowledgement for who we are and what we do, but at the end of the day the goal of the intj is the forwarding of the idea itself to where it changes everything because what sheeple don't understand about us is we are the embodiment of our thoughts and ideas and they all settle for petty nothingness repeatedly and then stand agog in wonder that we loath them when they do that.

@@aerenh_ ENFPs generally understand other people and their motivations pretty deeply and rather quickly-often with little judgement. They also communicate pretty well and can relate to almost anyone. It makes them good companions for talking people through things-or walking through things with them. I appreciate the ENFPs in my life.

Man... That INFP one hit home. Someone asked me that question recently and I just couldn't think of any place truly being better (or worse) than now 😂 The only good thing about the past would I might have less distractions like the internet when all I want to do is read and write... But then there would be the problem of working for survival to think about, and knowing I'd hate to be forced to live simply to survive like that (I'm in my late twenties, and trying to figure out how to find time to step back and do what I love while actually having the money to buy food that is good for me, and afford my apartment....)
As an INFP I understand what you mean about the simplicity of the past. I prefer the older times because despite the survival you mentioned people were focused on love and family as their core reason for existence. Now that we don’t work to survive (less obviously) society has us convinced that our careers are the most important thing in life as a form of substitute for the quest of survival. I just see this as an excuse to pump the economy and fill us with false promises like your ‘dream job’ to keep us generating money. Which has also lead to people having increased pride over each other and social media being the centre of comparison. I think it really comes down to knowing what we personally want and not what the era expects. You did mention distractions like the internet which is so true. We are so focused on absorbing content or having a fixation on what others think, or how they are better than us and do this while losing site of what we want ourselves. I suppose if we can’t time travel we can take inspiration from certain times and adopt that into our everyday lives.

I was going through this whole vid like “that could be me” until INTP finally hit. And doing something for curiosity (“science”) to test a theory while deciding the consequences aren’t a problem until they happen is a mood.

I think as an INFJ, I'd do that too.. but on second thought, I might just go in search of a beautiful place with refreshing greenery and peace (with no people) all around... Just writing about it is so exciting!! XD

INFP there, i’m on the INTP’s side: what are the rules of this time travel? Is it a real loop? Or does it create new branches each time you travel? Can you travel back to another branch?
When you travel do you choose where you appear or it’s just where you are at the moment (because you could appear into someone else that was just passing by, or into a wall that was there before, or a tree)?
But also yeah, I would try to find a point in time where I feel like it’s where I’ll be someone

Like could I pop in and out over time whenever I wanted? What kind time travel are we talking about. Would I only get to go someplace once? Could I return? Do I go as me? Would I be restricted to traveling my own time line? If that is the case...would I land in my youngerself years or just watch myself from a far?? I'm not a stickler for rules.. I just wanna know what I need to pack and if I need to say bye to loved ones around me. 🤔🤔🤔

INFJ here and where would I go? And as a tourist, with no Butterfly Effect or ill effects:
1) Moorish Spain in its heydey / most advanced period. I'd like to experience it and know how they handled commerce and trade, transportation, and all those lit streets at night, sanitation, soap, clean drinking water and all those working fountains and public works and of course the palaces and all that - Cordoba and Granada especially.
1.5) see the 7+ Wonders of the Ancient World
2) Ancient Greece in its most advanced heydey
3) Ashoka's palace and government
4) Pompeii and Napoli right around but safely before the volcano eruption
5) Greek island of Minos before the volcanic eruption / tsunami / crater. It was supposed to be a really nice place.
4) Los Angeles in the 30's to scoop up good real estate deals oh wait that's not just touristy!
5) I'd like to meet the Buddha dude - Guatama or Siddhartha something - when he's Buddha.
6) it like to meet Muhammad when he's gotten lots of followers or maybe just before - before writing the Quran
7) I'd like to see Galilee in Jesus' time it was supposed to be really prosperous with lots of work for carpenters and craftsman then according to archeology. And I'd like to briefly hang around Jesus and his crew to really meet them and see some of their shows.
8) Hawaii after the native Hawaiians developed surfing
9) stop Michaelangelo from getting too outright reformist so the Catholic church doesn't murder him
10) get Leonardo DaVinci to make a painting of me and hide it where I can retrieve it in 2022! 😁

As an INTP, this is extremely accurate bc the amount of time 8 year old me thought about that exact scenario is scary. But id also try to befriend my younger self so that they don’t do the stupid things that caused years worth of embarrassment

As an ENFP, I always fantasize about going back in time and being the one to invent revolutionary stuff since I know how it works already (like the periodic table of elements, the lightbulb, etc.) and being hailed as a genius and world savior.

As an INFJ I feel like I would go back in time to undo all the embarrassing moments in my life but then my character development would also disappear meaning I would never learn anything and grow as a person ( also never get out of that awkward stage I am still struggling with) so nvm.

INTJ- I would travel back to the time when the government first started to go wrong so I could sneak in to a meeting and record what they were saying and then expose them! Then we would all be saved from this time of crappy government we have today!

Honestly the best part was hearing someone else accurately describe how a timeline alternation paradox works. It's a gaping plot hole in so many of my favorite stories.
Oh yeah, I resonate with INFP here. I'd go to Roswell in July 1947 and settle this UFO alien issue once and for all.
As an INTP, I actually think about that and how changes using time travel wouldn't actually work. However, if I did something to write myself or something else out of existence, I wouldn't know because then me or the thing wouldn't have existed for me to tell the difference. That experiment would just end up being useless. Also, if I were to change something using time travel, the changes would've already occurred because I would've made the changes in the future, meaning that I wouldn't time travel to make the changes, which means the changes wouldn't happen. It's a paradox. Therefore, time travel can't be used to change any events or erase something, and could only really be used to gain knowledge of the past or future.

As an intj.. I'll prefer to go back to the time the WWI was about to be a thing and do anything to stop it, ir something like that, I'll definitely use the opportunity to save the humanity from some war or disaster.
And if I can travel to the future I'll chose to go like 200 years from now and see what happens through this time, also trying to avoid some disaster.
If I had as many opportunities as I wish, I would try every possibility in life and if I fvck something up I'd just go back like nothing happened, anxiety of the possibile results really pisses me off and stops me from risking anything, I always get cold feet and I hate it.
