    Absolutely fantastic! It almost reminds me of a preacher jig minus the feathers. This pattern would work on offshore humps in Guntersville Lake here in northern Alabama. Great job.

    By the way JF....you should have been a sugeon.....you are so precise with your jigs you would have been a good surgeon! I consider myself to being precise and neat when tying jigs but you are at another level my friend. Love this pattern by the way!

      Might have the hands for it but definitely not the brains!!! Never want your surgeon to say "is that the liver?"

    Great tie and technique. Very impressed with your abilities to get what you are striving for.
    Intrigued by the idea of looking for "height" in your finished tie. Been atruggling trying to create a bluegill jig. Can get color patterns but not profile. You give me pause to rethink this. Thanks for sharing.

      Gills can be tough because they are so tall. If a bait gets to tall then it may get in the way of the hook. But now youve got me thinking!

    Buddy you got me tying bucktail jigs for lake erie smallies in between what you have been tying and lefty's deceiver im catching a mixed bag of bass and trout thanks for the inspiration 👍

      Thanks!! I use a peak rotary vise! Ive had it for 3 years and love it!
