    Absolutely gorgeous. The recordings I grew up on were ruled by a metronome, and no emotion was permitted. I know that Mr. Chopin published this piece as an Etude, or "study," but I think subsequent versions would make him happy!~

      @@mrgrinch8540 all pieces include intepretation. It's not something that you put in it if you want and you don't if you do not want. It's like a painter: it always introduces his or her own style, even if it repaints the painting of someone else. There is always a unique touch, unless you copycat it or photograph it: but you cannot do any of that with MUSIC. You do not take a photo of music: personalization and a personal touch will always be there. You can only record a piece: and it will be IDENTICAL only if it is the copy of the very same execution by the very same player. But even if the very same pianist playing twice the same place at two different occasions, will be unable to reproduce it IDENTICAL to his or her first performance. But are we really here explaining these obvious things? Is really out there somebody who believes that the "perfectly objective" playing of a piece actually exists? What's happening to us?

      @tsukit  7 лет назад +3

      Indeed. She has her grand piano but we definitely wouldn't have been able to record the music with this studio quality without having that acoustic piano being a real studio with all the recording equipments. So we choose to use N1 instead which is a good workaround because she can still mostly feel the real piano and we can capture the sound noise-free. This piece was captured in 16-bit Integral sampling so it definitely won't reflect truly what N1 can delivery. Check out this other piece below.
      ruclips.net/video/IW1x_gFLlTI/видео.html
      It was recorded with AG03 which yield 32-bit floating sample - much better sound quality. Still however don't equate N1 to a real grand piano. It's in its own category

      It's an AvantGrand hybrid piano... it has real grand piano keys and hammers but instead of strings it "hits" light sensors. The sound you hear is digital. A lot of the spatial element gets lost here because they recorded the sound directly from the piano instead of playing it through the piano's speakers. They're great because you don't have to tune them but they feel incredibly realistic.
