No, we did not have to reset it. It kept working without issues.

I broke my mirror casing between this video and the led mirror changeover excellent instruction. Thank you. BTW does your Swiss Army knife, a valuable tool in any man's pocket ....still have tweezers. I Carry mine, identical to yours wherever I go, lost the tweezers though

Sorry but what is that cable that you remove from the glass? Is it heated Window or something related to blind spot monitor? I Just ordered the signal glass from car trim but i also have those cables connected to the glass and i really dont know what are those for

My rav4 is the standar one with non heated mirrors, can I upgrade for the one with heated and signal light?
You might find a KIT for that , besides heated mirrors it supposed to have remote switch (knob) as well. Another possibility- that is your model prewired already and has unused two- wires connector inside the mirror assembly, but the only way to find out - to disassemble it.
Did you have to program the blind spot assist or anything?
Nope, blind spot assist kept working without issues.
