Of all the wood grain tutorials I’ve watched, yours seem the most doable. I just stripped 2 cups where I used 3 colors of inks. The cups turned out so dark, the black Jack Daniels decal didn’t show up. I’m going to try your technique with Ranger Caramel. I appreciate the way you keep explaining as you go without extra chit chat. Looking forward to binging on your videos.

Awesome... hang in there! Alcohol inks are pretty forgiving... I know I mention that if you get any runs off to the side it can "ruin" it but you can definitely use the brush and alcohol to work it out. Thanks so much for watching!!

I wanted to do a wood grain, and you would not believe the number of videos I tried and then gave up on because they were either just music and image (I need talking, at least for the actual tutorial bit!) or just... difficult. Thank you for being you! I think I'm confident enough to try it now.

Thanks so much! You can do it Patti...just keep working at it! After I finished filming this video I accidentally knocked the cup over hadn't even had a chance to seal it yet... scratched the inks up pretty bad :( BUT bc alcohol inks are so forgiving I was able to just touch it up and it looks as good as new! About to epoxy it right now!! Just keep that in mind... if you mess up just spray your brush with the 91% alcohol and swipe over it again... and keep on going! :)

You might could put vinyl directly on… I’d just be SUPER careful! You could risk lifting you’re ink and paint though.

Hi Trisha… I sprayed the brush randomly throughout the whole process. Just sort of when I felt like I needed to spread what was already there or create bigger wood grain texture. The inks are pretty forgiving. Thanks for watching!
