It's not your private property. Look at your papers, you're listed as a tenant not the owner! Not only that your house, land and your car are the government property but you and your children are government property also.
I just got my tax bill for my house in Indonesia. It was like $40 for the whole year. Yeah I miss living in the U. S. Sometimes but I don't miss the crazy taxes and expensive heath care.
My property taxes went up just now 300 dollars a month. Not kidding. That is a 75 percent increase!! I did not get a 75 percent raise a month at work to pay for this!! The government estimated what they think my property is worth and then using the mil increased my property taxes!! What in the world? How can government do this? This is usurious!!!!
The massive increase in property taxes is going to flood the real-estate market in foreclosures. Along with the inflation rate this will make 2008 look good
Meh, my house is assessed at $980,000 and the tax increase is around $800 over the entire year. Who the hell is going to lose their house over a few bucks a month.
ipeople would feel inclined to pay their taxes if they felt like the govt wasn't wasting it. the govt isnt even trying to pretend like they are using tax money wisely.
I wonder if any of these homeowners will appeal the highest offer on their home when they sell? This is part of the deal, increase in home value, increase in taxes.
How about government GIVING MONEY AWAY less...???? Less for Section 8, less for welfare, less for homeless?? Why burden those that actually WORK and contribute to society rather than consume without contributing to the community????

@LeonardThomas-up5ih 0 seconds ago TABOR is a part of the Colorado State Constitution since 1992. Voting in Proposition HH, or not, will have no effect upon its sanctity. Only a Colorado Constitutional Referendum can change the Constitutionally protected effect of TABOR or any other part of the Colorado State Constitution. According to the Colorado Sun, the TABOR surplus for Colorado taxpayers is estimated to be more than $3 billion, up to $800 million more than state economists predicted in March 2023. The state may now have to refund nearly $1 billion more than originally expected, nonpartisan Legislative Council Staff and the governor’s Office of State Planning and Budgeting told state lawmakers. The exact amount of the refund checks will be determined by whether voters pass Proposition HH in November 2023, a 10-year property tax relief plan from Democrats in the General Assembly and Gov. Jared Polis. If Proposition HH passes, the refund checks could be roughly $850 for single filers and $1,700 for joint filers 1. The Pagosa Daily Post reports that under HB23-1311, Colorado taxpayers could expect to receive a refund of $661 for single filers and $1,322 for joint filers. Final refund amounts will be determined based on updated revenue statistics 2. Please note that these are estimates and the actual refund amounts may vary based on updated revenue statistics.

@@AlE-kc7yw No, I like to take my engines apart on the kitchen table. Maybe if I started tearing my cars apart on the front lawn that would lower my assessed value, good idea, thanks.
@@AlE-kc7yw Here in CA, Proposition 13 was passed in 1978 that limits the maximum annual increase to 2%. The State shouldn’t be taxing property in the first place! Between sales taxes and fees, this State government is onerous and greedy!
