The 24th was my hubby's and my 14th anniversary. We turned out the lights and layed on a blanket on the floor and watched the lightening for almost an hour. It was so romantic :D
the thunder was epic the way it kept rolling and rolling like that. Better than any fireworks show on earth! It was truly spectacular to see! :)....Go Toronto! :) hehe
Was this clip sped up at all? I live in Canada too, but I have never seen so much lightening so close together! I am surprised the power wasn't knocked out!
If you double click the play button so that it plays very shortly, sometimes you can pause it when the lightning strikes, looks pretty neat. lights up some parts of the city. Thumbs up so other people can enjoy it.
@arson519 Again? OK if you live in an igloo explain this. First of all it's summer. 2nd of all if you live in an igloo how do you have the internet to make a youtube account and upload vids?
This storm stretched right from northern ontario right down to windsor. one of the biggest and violent storms i have been through. the damage may not have been that bad, but the amount of people affected by it was unbelieveable.
@TheImaCowMoo actually toronto had a watch, which is even more tame than a warning. A warning means it looks imminent or is already happening @ present. A watch means, well, keep an eye on it but don't freak out because theres no reason to panic. A warning is basically panic time.
If you are on the CN Tower, it wouldnt be as bad as you think because it has lightning rods (The red thing at the top) that collect the and store the Lighting. It gets struck all the time. And it also sways all the time.
@redsoxguy617 ok so the fact the the video says "TORONTO" and the CN TOWER is in the video for 1:51 AND you have a friend who lived there you still had to ask where is this? but im the weird one hmmmm
@GirlHotties I had to bring my polar bear in early to make sure he didn't fall through the ice. How would I have gotten to work in the morning without him? It's hard being a Canadian.
@Herolake This was non-stop lightning. It's not the fact that it was big or huge, it's the fact that there wasn't a second where there wasn't lightning. It went on like this for atleast 10 min from what I saw and thats not including the time I was indoors.
It wasn't that bad? o_o I mean I live right outside downtown Toronto and I never experienced any huge lightning or loud thunder. I think people were overhyping this. :L
thats awesome but come to the gold coast in australia. you'll never want to come bak once you experience a tropical thunderstorm. Ive lived there for ten years and they still frighten the hell outta me. 100% humidity, fork lghtning, thunder that cracks and hail stones the size of cricket balls. scary as hell
Intense. I love it. Wish I were there. Great video!!!!!!!
no, its not fast forwarded , it was just a crazy ass light show , crazies storm ive seen in 22 years
may i ask a question what is your video cameraa u use to take the film?

@ZayyneProductions
All large buildings are built in a way so that they sway, it's just not noticeable.

that storm was NUTS, it was better than watching my polar bears fight in my igloo

That's too cool. Wish Vancouver Island had stuff like that.
@GirlHotties I had to bring my polar bear in early to make sure he didn't fall through the ice. How would I have gotten to work in the morning without him? It's hard being a Canadian.
