Sooo I got this chair after months of searching, testing and reading reviews. Ive had the chair now for about 5 months, enough time to get adjusted and provide a good review. I thought this chair was going to be a back saver. WRONG WRONG WRONG...if I could return it, I would. My HR department purchased this chair as a reasonable accommodation request. Don't get me wrong. Some of my coworkers envy this chair, they love it, but the ones who love it are all over 5'5 inches tall. I am 5'2 and this chair is just not designed for short people. Nothing lines up properly. I had to buy a foot stool just so my feet could touch the ground with my chair height high enough to be comfortable at my desk height. my head is lower than the headrest, it doesn't reach properly. AND the one thing that would make this chair just a tad better, would be if the arm rest raised higher. They don't so I don't have that support either. In addition, they do not swivel inward toward the body which would also be helpful as the location is not inline with my arms. This is not a chair for short people If you are over 5'4 you are probably ok and will love the chair. Otherwise keep looking. Im just stuck with this chair now, my HR will not purchase another one

I had this chair two years already and I am very disappointed. It is fine as a chair if squeaking is fine with you. My chair has developed a really bad and loud squeaking over this period. Tightening screws helped a bit, but I am at the point right now that it no longer helps.
You can get used Herman Miller Aeron for around $300. I ended up getting one after autonomous crap. My HMA unit is over 8 years old, feels very sturdy, no signs of wear, no squeaking.
Still going strong! No rips or tears and I sit in it every day! The cushion softness is still pretty good, but not perfect -- it has been heavily used though that is for sure. I would buy it again.
I bought this chair just this month but so far haven't had a good experience. Cut myself lifting the top portion on the sharp plastic on the underside of where the back attaches to the base. There were some loose threads they forgot to clear from between the back mesh & the left back support along where it slides into the channel That's all trivial though compared to the pain I'm experiencing in my upper back. I've tried adjusting it every which way & can't get any relief. My previous chair was a sunken in swivel rocker with a pillow behind my back using an older desk that was much too high for that chair. Do you think damage from that situation could be the cause of my intense shoulder blade pain now in a good chair? I'd greatly appreciate any feedback =\. By the way I'm 5"11 135lbs, maybe I'm too tall or light for it who knows.
Mike Soda how long have you had the chair? Did your back have those pains prior to having the chair? Doesn’t sound like you were in a very comfortable situation prior to this. There's also less swelling in my back with this pain from this chair VS the previous one too.
