I used to work in IT, retired now. Thank you for the current printer pricing, never had a laser but am thinking about getting one.
I've been using that same Canon printer for 10 months now and love it. I have had 0 problems. I haven't tried printing labels, but now that I'm finally starting to use my candle supplies I bought last fall, I'm thinking of using it. I bought it for my real estate stuff but will test making labels, even though I'm only selling to co-workers and friends thus far.
The toner could be less if you can find someone to refill it rather than buying a new one. But I know the price is well worth the cost to replace bc they last so long.
Which printer
Thank you so much , I need to print labels for a home business I planing to start and noticed i have an old never used lexmark x5320 won this years ago , x-mas party I was about to give it to goodwill and after watching your video I realized It should work fine. thanks for opening my eyes i know very little so I'll watch some tutorials.
We went with Epson Ink-Well
Good printing, great refill time and cost.
The ink tank system appears to be much better than the cartridge system ruclips.net/user/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 and a lot cheaper to run. The machine was easy to set up. A small point but I thought they'd be a USB cable included to help with the set up but there was none. I've been using it now for a few weeks and it seems like a good product and superior to my previous printers which were all troublesome HP machines.
What about printers that can handle thick glossy label paper?
Hey there! Also from the IT space. The Inkjet's have a lot of adhearance issues with Avery labels if you are using glossy labels. I have a Brother HL-L2360D from about 5-6 years ago and it just works. I have never had a brother break down and I am thinking about getting a bigger one which has multiple trays so I can keep my label paper in a separate tray instead of manual feeding it. Only downside with my little printer, unfortunately, is that the front tray feeds at an angle due to a roller being broken in it somewhere but I can't be bothered to buy a new one at this time.
Does your brother print color? And is it thermal or??
@@kerrywylie5613 laser, b+w only
As always -- thanks Jeff! You always make it easy. 😎
thanks for these recommendations, since I'm still in the beginning stages of wax melts I sure my Epson ink jet will take care of the labels for a while. I do appreciate your time to make this video and your recommendations
Thanks for this Jeff.
Oh wow this video was really helpful! Thank you
Thank you my printer just died this is right on time !
Thanks for the video and resources, it answered all of my questions!
Thumbs up for posting on my bday and good advice
Can you do a video on label printing on your canon machine. I am interested to see.
Please and thank you! 😊
Same cause I need it I feel no one has one
That was very helpful, I'm having problems with the Inkjet labels ink easily scratching off my glossy sticker labels so I may have to switch to a color laser.
This was just what I needed. Great video!!
So helpful thank you!!
Thanks for the video! You're always very helpful! :)
Thank you. :)
On inkjet look at the echo tank printer. It does cost more for the printer. The refill ink is like 50.00 to replace all ink. The black is 8oz bottle and the color are 4oz.
THIS is the video I needed. thank you!
Always so helpful!!!
Anyone looking for inkjet ink, I order mine from smart ink! Way cheaper than me getting canon cartridges and just as good of quality.
Can I use any type of normal label sheet? Does the label has to heat resistant?
I just bought an HP deskJet 2755e printer and I’m trying to print labels and they are smearing all over the place the ink is wet still and they are not lining up with the labels that I have got.
can you only foil your labels with a laser printer
I am presently looking for a printer to print Claire bottle labels for a juice bar. Do you have any suggestions? I’m not trying to spend a whole lot but willing to invest in a medium price range.
very helpful video but i only see 2 printers and neither ink jet. What is a good ink jet printer for beginners using color that will stand up the heat without messing up the lables
I am in the process of starting a small candle business and I need to print out shipping labels and candle labels.. I need the best printer! Please let me know if the printer you have linked comes with ink when you buy it or if you have to pay for the ink as well when you first purchase. Greatly appreciate you! Thanks for your videos.
For shipping labels get a Dymo
I didn’t know you were in I. T. I want to get into security analysts. Inkjet to begin with is cheaper but I’m replacing my ink cartridges more. I will eventually invest in a laser printer.
I just purchased the Canon - imageCLASS MF743Cdw Wireless Color All-In-One Laser Printer. I can’t wait to receive it. 😊
Was it a good buy. I don’t want anything that bleeds colors.
@@divinefem777 what did u end up buying?
Such an inspiration to many. In regards to inkjet and laser I noticed my onlinelabels waterproof glossy are losing ink on my handmade bath products when in the shower or wiped with wet cloth. I’m using inkjet printer. A good quality. I’m wondering if laser sheets with laser printer will help keep them from smudging. Very very frustrated. Thank you
Laser should do much better when it comes to labels getting wet.
Can you tell if inkjet labels will fade with time?
This helped me ALOT
Thank you for this ❤️
Hi, between the cannon and hp. Which one you think is best?
i do have a question. My logo is with color, does that mean that I need a colored laser printer? and can it print black ink also? I am doing this for my candle business. Thank you
2 questions! 1) people claim labels tend to smudge with ink jet. Do you think its because they're using glossy labels? And 2) are you familiar with the eco tank style printers? Are they worth the upfront price in the long run?
Oh! And a 3) bonus question! I keep getting clogged heads on my inkjet. Do lazer printers also have this issue
@@angelazeigler2904 thats the ebiggeest reason we moved to laser printer only
What label paper do you use & do you water proof it? Thanks! Gonna check out some other videos...
Will the ink jet work well on the clear labels? I’m worried about them smearing.
No. They smear when wet. That is why I bought a laser.
Hey Jeff, did I miss the link to the printer?
Theyre up now
Is there any chance that the labels from an inkjet printer get distorted due to the heat of a candle jar?
A few issues I have had printing my candle labels on inkjet with an HP OfficeJet: Color smearing on labels, color will run when humid or wet on clear glossy labels, color can blend, also looks a little faded.
Hey Jeff do my issue is my labels are mainly black with some color. I had been using my sisters HP Envy 500 inkjet but I’ve noticed that the Black always smears very bad. I’m wondering if all inkjet printers will have this issue, I have labels that’s been printed for over 2 weeks and they still smear when I place them.
Canon is better for photos than HP. With HP the ink print is high. They use a lot more ink and take longer to dry no matter the settings.
Thanks for the video. However, it's not necessarily correct. There are Inkjet printers like the Canon G6050 which have refillable cartridges and can print up to 7700 pages with one refill. The only downside is that the printer itself costs more.
There are some great inkjet options out there.
So if my labels are colored an inkjet will do????
An ink jet will work great
@@StandleyHandcrafted thx! Even if my labels are red?
I’m looking to print black and white labels with black background. I can invest in a printer, should I do laser or inkjet (thinking mono laser) or should I just send out for printing? Anyone?
Hi Jeff, what is the name and model of your printer in this video? Many thanks 😊
Canon 743
Which printer did you purchase?
I bought the Canon 743
Hi! I’m just starting my candle company, I love watching all your videos! Which printer (inkjet) did you start out with? I will like to print my labels with color. Thanks so much!
I started with a Canon laser printer. Any ink jet will work great though.
I don't see any links to printers?
Added now.
Great video. I'm looking to print my own labels in the beginning also. What type of labels would you recommend I start with between the white matte, white gloss, and weatherproof? I don't know if there are pros and cons on using these different types of labels on the candles. Thanks.
Check out some of the Avery label options. They’re great.
The canon is on sale right now for $379.00
Jeff, who do you recommend to get glossy or matte white labels from? What brand? I will be printing using my Epsom 2750 Inkjet and will be using a lot of color. Thanks.
I like the glossy labels
I use Avery glossy...I’m having a issues of my labels not being glossy enough
