Buddy finding his way is fucking glorious. I remember a little over 2 years ago, I was majorly depressed, so stuck in my past (shitty family situation, drug/alcohol problem) and I remember just feeling so connected to Buddy through his music and would religiously listen to them, and since then Ive pulled myself out of the depths and its so amazing coming back to them and seeing he is in the same place I am.
It's crazy how so many of us have the same experience! When I first heard one of their songs I was severely depressed and suicidal, going through many of the things Buddy was going through. I eventually got hospitalized and all I did while lying on that bed was listening to music, especially SF. It was when The Fire came out. I remember listening to The Fire and Hold On in the hospital and crying and crying. They gave me a lot of strength. After a period of self healing, I started to come back to my healthy self, and Buddy seemed to have reached the same place in life. His music has always been super relevant because it feels we're always in the same frame of mind, from the self destruction, to the gathering strenght and finally letting go and embracing life. It's quite mind blowing to me.
I met Buddy+Dan+Garrett in 2010 in Brisbane when they toured Australia. I was the first outside the venue, when they arrived with their van, Buddy came to me, say hello, took pictures, hugs and talked a bit. When the show was over, I was the last one at the venue to get some autographs and other pics. Buddy recognised me and thanked me for still being there. This guy is so fucking sweet! Hope you can meet them!
@@medusaheroin Both are awesome in their own way, imo. Not because it's for children it's dumb. Frozen's song is about being strong and having resilience to overcome.
***** Wait that wasn't the best explanation. Hardcore keeps a really fast and simple tempo and gets it's point across in two minutes or less. Post-Hardcore doesnt necessarily incorporate clean vocals but can also instead incorporate broader soundscapes and complexer rythms and structuring which also most of the time increases the length of the songs. But most of post-hardcore bands do use cleans so there you go.
***** Agreed there. Silverstein is in my top 5 favorite bands of all time but i still like to put on some misfits or sick of it all from time to time so i love both.
triofanforlife fuck, I initially agreed with you because I consider that probably their best album, but still searching and Renacer are all contenders in my book

The nostalgic people who still cry for an album like Let In Enfold You & Still Searching
By far the best song on Renacer

Norman Folkes when bands do concerts at smaller venues they tend to offer VIP packages which include meeting the band.
Dude... who dares to dislike this song??
love you guys forever. actually 5ever because 4ever is not enough.
Getting a real Defeater vibe from this song.
Album is amazing!
You're like literally the only one that doesn't like there new album. This is like one of there best.
I haven't seen frozen but every time i here about let it go I think of this song.
You, sir, have now tainted this song.

It's not fair. This song came out before Frozen.

I love you guys so much
this album, is fucking legit. so different, so sick
good job for surprising the shit outa everyone.
fucking sweet direction of their sound
I'm starting to hear a little Circa Survive flavor in their guitar sounds.
The best one along with Mi amor and the path.
Awesome
Let it go
good shit
🍓
1:11 so fucking good, huge Deftones vibe
Whoever disliked this song has no soul.
They have changed a lot. They have gotten a lot more mature, heavier, and didn't follow in the path that many uncreative hardcore bands have gone in.
For those of you wondering why they don't sound like they use to, listen to Bayonet. It's Busts other band
Buddys
majority of the album has clean vocals during the choruses
***** Actually, I'd argue that this is closer to a fusion between Sludge Metal and Post Hardcore as opposed to flat out Hardcore.
***** Post hardcore has cleans and Hardcore doesn't

***** Both good bands but if you don't like them then you probably don't like Hardcore punk as a whole
the hardcore side of the album reminds me more of figure four
Is this the same singer? he sounds kinda different now
Yup since 2004
Yeah, he's just not singing and his screams got fucking awesome.
There should be more guitar but otherwise its good
A human being whose taste doesn't align with yours?
Hey look i found one that actually has some Senses Fail riffs and doesn't sound exactly like deftones.
3 people who don't know metal!
The Static at the end. So Loud! In a not good way.
Life is Not A Waiting Room is their best album. This isn't as good.
triofanforlife fuck, I initially agreed with you because I consider that probably their best album, but still searching and Renacer are all contenders in my book
Still searching will always be my favorite. The overall sound and message just resonated with me iver everything else
Well you're insane...
