I’m 52 days sober off heroin, fentanyl, benzos, coke, meth, and pretty much every other drug there is. This was the first song I played walking out that treatment center and I felt so much better and badass. Getting out of that building and driving back home to a new and better life with this playing felt so amazing ~
This song is a testament to how powerful music can be. With no lyrics, a simple but unforgettable riff, it reaches in and can stir a range of emotions in people from all walks of life.
My high school computer teacher, Mr. McLean put this in his playlist, and sometimes as all students worked quietly on their own, this music would start playing in the background, it was my favorite in the playlist, because every time it would start, it would tell me a message in the form of a feeling, saying "There's a big future ahead, but one day you'll need to leave this place behind, it may be hard to leave the place where great unforgettable moments happened, but one day you'll need to leave it, and keep going forward towards your destiny, the world needs you out there". The next thing I felt was that the only things in those moments that truly last forever, are the memories in our relationships, that's why relationships are so worth remembering. I'm graduating now and writing this from a very old account, finally found this music after years, it's unlike any other. - Mark
Hello, this gave me soo much motivation and knowledge, thank you and i wish you will graduate and have a successfull life full of happiness :) - Balint11
This song reminds me things that never happened, I feel so nostalgic whenever I hear this and I don't know why. It's like I've been somewhere with someone I loved the most, listening to this song, planning our life together, watching the nature, an amazing sunset, an extraordinary sky full of stars and then, everything vanishes. Like, there was no future at all. But there's a ray of hope at the end, I don't know. It's sad and inspiring at the same time. You guys feel related? And yes, I also struggled for about two years to find this song!
It straight up remind me of my great years of HS when things were easier compared to now. My junior and senior year. Living in a small town and just living quietly and being happy.
Those feelings and "memories" are actually memories from your past life. If you need more info about this, you can DM me for free on Instagram. My @ is rubberduckie_youretheone
This one of those special songs that when you come back to it, it just brings back so many wonderful memories. Early mornings, sun rising type of music
This sounds like the anthem of the feeling of missing the good times and memories, and the feeling of that happines being probably lost in your immature youth. Like a melancholic nostalgy.

This sound makes me feel like I should have chosen another path in life. This song makes me feel there was greatness down another path had I chosen it. But it also makes me feel like there's still greatness down this different road for me to reach.
The greatest path is the path towards the Kingdom of God, there's nothing else that gives greater satisfaction than knowing you're on that path, & it's never too late to set foot on that path... Just so long as you're still alive 🕊️
Sounds like regret to be thinking that way. Regrets are normal, just remember all feelings pass, good & bad & everything in between. The path you’re currently on is the best path because you are still here, living.
Honestly, riding with my motorcycle with this song in the headphones on repeat is singlehandedly the best thing I’ve ever experienced, the atmosphere of adventure and travel form the song mixed with the feelings you get on a bike are something no man can describe, but that every man should experience

In the year of 2013 my cousin and I used to sit on the bed and day dream and talk about fictional stories, secret worlds and apocalypse scenarios for hours while listening to this exact video on repeat. We used to make films, write out movies and direct plays for weeks and weeks. She was my best friend and we’ve since grown apart by life, she’s married and I just got a house we are both happy but I do miss her and miss that summer. I have not had a friendship like ours since that summer. Seems like a different lifetime ago that wasn’t even mine. It’s very mind boggling how human lives are. Embrace in every moment because once it passes it’s gone. Dream, peace & love to all WJ
@Avery Davidson your comment gives me chills and nostalgy. I used to have a best friend. We loved philosofy. we tried to explain everything that happened in the world and beyond. we talked about stars, space and so much more. it wasn't the happiest time in my life, but the nostalgy that those moments give are unparalleled. she then moved on because she had no time for "our imaginary world" and our friendship was destroyed. i also move on and in the moment i am doing far more interesting and fun things, but there is something about those memories that bring tears into my eyes. thanks so much for bringing back those memories once again.
It’s so strange how this song makes us all think of the same things. Endearing memories of friends we have lost touch with. Packing everything up and going on a life changing drive. This song being the soundtrack as our entire lives flash before our eyes. It just proves how we are all one to at least a certain degree. Music is one hell of a drug, man.
I quit my job last year in pursuit of my dream. I am not yet, where I want to be, quite far actually.. This song keeps me going, with a smile & a hope.. Super vibes. *gets up and continues walking*
Go go champ continue your journey. If its okey can you tell me, whats your dream ?. Whenever i come back to this song i will look for your comment and see where you have reached
Listening to this song on the beach, with the sun going down and the waves crashing in the distance, with a cooler full of drinks and great company....heaven
Amazing man, it’s a shame that there’s a huge chunk of the population that’ll never understand JUST HOW music can hit the soul and permeate through every single fkn vein in your being
This song feels like very sentimental. It feels like you miss all of the good memories, makes you feel like you accept your mistakes from the past but things can change, it takes you deep in the horizon and it also feels like sad but it is such a good song
I heard this song the first time 2 months ago. I reached enlightenment in 2022. The first time I heard this I had a huge release of serotonin and had a bunch of msgs from the creator. Everytime I play this song now which is often I get messages. Usually small ones now. I don't know what you put in this but keep making music like this please.
When I hear this song I feel incredibly sad. I have an emotional memory attached to it, but cannot remember why. I know when it was released I was going through an incredibly difficult time in my life. The sadness it evokes still makes my chest feel like it's caving in
When I was younger once I was reading this scary story about a man-eater lion and there was a song playing on TV, since then every time I hear that song tune I still get shivers remembering that strange feeling I had when I was reading the story
It’s 2AM Christmas 2020 and I’m laying in bed listening to The XX. I’ve never heard it and saved the extended version to my cell. I read your comment and from now on when I play this song I will remember there is a lady somewhere in the world named Jessica Yunker that feels deep sorrow when she hears it. I hope you are Ok and I Wish You Merry Christmas.
No words to explain what this song makes me feel. It's very nostalgic and sweet. It relaxes you at the same time that makes you get up and dance. Every time I listen to this song, I start dancing with my eyes closed. I go in a deep trance. It takes you to places you've never been. So many emotions, so many feelings. Such a beautiful bliss. 7 minutes are not enough. This is another song I added in the soundtracks of my life list. Thank you!!!!!!
I found this music while coding a website cause I wanted to see how youtube filters were displayed, so I typed randomly "xx" and found this song. Guess i'm lucky
The is the song that I listened when I was in airplane after I left Iraq after a brutal war. This song opens my eyes to a new chapter in my life and the adventures looking ahead. At the same moments, I felt thrilled, but also I was anxious for the unknown lay ahead of me. A compelling song for authentic self moments.
I've listened to this song on repeat over 5000 times over several years with my headphones on as a way to block out distractions. Now when it plays it automatically moves me into a productive mental state!
My buddy from high school used to blast this every weekend I'd stay at his place. We'd just be hanging out playing on his Xbox and this would be in the background. Now he's headed to Cali while I stayed in NJ. This song just fills me with nostalgia of the best days I didn't know I was living
Even after a several year long pandemic, this song hits me with the same nostalgia. Shoutout to the the times that were simpler, good memories and good people that will live on through things like this that connect us back :)
omg which one? I´me here because of OBX too but I don´t remember that scene! Please someone tell me which scene, otherwise I´ll have to rewatch season 2
Adding my comment in the hope interactions will pull me back here more often than I make it these days. I have played this on multi-hour lops as I've gone to bed, as I've driven with my son sleeping in the car seat next to me. The asynchronous drum beat and the ethereal sound is hypnotizing... I get home sick for a place that I've never actually been and enjoy this track more and more each time I hear it.
Where have you guys heard this song???It sounds sooo familiar I can't point out what movie it came from or if it even came from a movie and it's driving me crazy
My cousin and I used to listen to this song every single night in the forest. Now he's gone. I was at a friend's house, got a phone call with no emotion from my dad, he said come home. I rushed home, he broke the news to me, and I collapsed. My whole world came crashing down. He was basically my brother. It tore me up like nothing imaginable. I was crying harder than anyone else at the memorial, and his daughter who I never met was sitting in my cousin's wife's lap next to me, looked up with her big bright eyes at me, reached for my arm and said "Dada." It destroyed me. I wonder if my cousin's spirit was shining through my face at that moment. Not much can make me cry because I've seen a lot in my day, but that is a pain that is beyond words. There is a massive void in my heart now, but I keep moving on. I hope you'll be waiting on the other side. "We'll always keep your wild fire burning."
I don't know if I have the right words to comfort you, losing someone we love is the worst feeling in the world, recently, I lost another family member, it's the second I lose, and I just can't cry, not even once, I really loved them very much, I keep thinking, if I'm not a normal person, how can someone can't cry over the death of their relative, I must be a monster
When i listen to this music, i just lay down in my couch and stare at the ceiling thinking about my purpose and value in life. I think about the past, present and the future. The nostalgia, the pressure of life and the unknown future. I keep thinking about the flow of my life. I feel like crying because of how time flies by so fast. And you realize that was all the things i've been doing worth it? Have i taken life for granted too much? Am i worthy of having this gift of life? What is life by the way? Is it living in prosperity and harmony or dying in regrets and negativity? What is love? Is it about loving another's physical characteristics or what is inside? I kept thinking of many questions that i don't have an answer yet..
bobby I understand i kinda have lost the flow now, im 19 no school no job, we never had any money but somehow i just rambled around, need to find the flow again
This brings to me so many happy and sad memories. During the last five years I kept questioning myself of who I really am and what is stopping me from going forward in my life.
To go forward simply put is do the next right thing. Question to ask yourself What are the things I'm doing wrong? Careful some of them are kind of fun. And a great place to start, Clean your room. And tell the truth.
I find it ironic how this song is named the intro song but strangely enough it feels like the song you listen to at the end of a movie; a long night, or even your life..
Some how I just found this song, and I keep thinking the same thing, because me and my family have been traveling quite a lot, to Kentucky, Illinoi, and many other places because all of my other family are really far away. The closest family member is more than 2 hours away. That is about to change in about 5-ish years because I think you know why. Well I'm just going to tell you. He has heart conditions, and he is over 70 years old.
Incidental background music used frequently in documentaries and films to emotionally encapsulate you into this languorous sense that you're listening to something rather seductive, spiritually special, somewhere, one suspects, you've never ever been before in a glorious instrumental arrangement encased in epic minimalism, which is hauntingly lovely enough.
I remember hearing this song so many times. Content creators on RUclips used it a lot because it's not copyright. I never took it seriously, until now (after a while of not hearing it), when I heard it somewhere. It is actually such a good song.
The fact this played somewhere in my life is enough to hit me hard in the feels. I can also imagine a calm evening scenario with no worries somewhere nice.
I want this song playing in my car while I'm driving down an empty road in Nevada or Texas at night with no clouds so I can see the stars, the windows down so I can feel the cool night air, and in the passenger seat - the girl I love.
I’m never read something that’s hit closer to home. that’s my dream as well. I really recommended listening to the piano version of this as well.. it’s soo good
I found thisnsong when i was a sophomore in high school. I was rejected by a girl i thought was so special, and it broke me. I had a lot of work to do. I listened to this because it brought me peace. The beat, in a way, told me to hang on to hope. Now im in a year and a half relationship, and ive never been more happy in my life.
After six years I finally found it Now I am crying so much bcoz I lost one of my best teachers who was always saying Sons and daughters ( respect yourself people will respect you) He taught us how to love our parents Unfortunately he died bcoz of Blood cancer at the age of 51 !! So now I would like to say brothers and sisters ( respect yourself people will respect you)
May Lao bcoz once at school he gave me a ride to the highlands with his car and all the day he played this this was his favorite mind control music !!(
Man I'll never forget hearing this song for the first time with all my best friends watching project x when it first came out 2 months before graduating. The movie really felt like a tribute to our senior class and the crazy house party era that time period was. It hit hard then but hits even harder now. Good times... nostalgia is something else...
I used to go to a gaming cafe to play dota and the gut at reception used to play music on the speakers. It was 8 am when he opened the cafe and told me to wait for a few minutes coz he was setting up the cafe and he played this song. I was thrown into a trance but then I forgot to ask him the name of the song. I just remember the big white X. I was searching the web since 2017. But this painful journey has come to an end. Feels peaceful and relaxed

The sadness it evokes still makes my chest feel like it's caving in
I can relate to that. This song evokes sadness and a bit of nostalgia as well.
Jessica I responded to reply but overlooked tagging your message.
@ Jessica Yunker: Keep your head up baby girl and hold on to the fact that you got thru that difficult time. Sending love 💖💕💓💞 and hugs 🤗🤗

My buddy from high school used to blast this every weekend I'd stay at his place. We'd just be hanging out playing on his Xbox and this would be in the background. Now he's headed to Cali while I stayed in NJ. This song just fills me with nostalgia of the best days I didn't know I was living

Never understand how the significant the moment we are in will be in the future.

Adding my comment in the hope interactions will pull me back here more often than I make it these days. I have played this on multi-hour lops as I've gone to bed, as I've driven with my son sleeping in the car seat next to me. The asynchronous drum beat and the ethereal sound is hypnotizing...
Fuckin hell man you've been though some shit ayy. Hope your alright.
I don't know if I have the right words to comfort you, losing someone we love is the worst feeling in the world, recently, I lost another family member, it's the second I lose, and I just can't cry, not even once, I really loved them very much, I keep thinking, if I'm not a normal person, how can someone can't cry over the death of their relative, I must be a monster

no time like the present
My soul 🌹

Its awesome when without trying, a song that feels so familiar comes on, one of life's greatest treats, like a chocolate for the soul.
Close your eyes and go forward.
Omg Same here 🥺

This song makes me cry because of my unhappy life, failures and unfulfilled loves!! Deep nostalgia and desire for happiness!
One day at a time. All you can do. God bless You.
I find it ironic how this song is named the intro song but strangely enough it feels like the song you listen to at the end of a movie; a long night, or even your life..
One life end

Listening to this during the pandemic, thinking about my past, my future, am i really alive or just existing. This is an absolute Masterpiece.
