Oh, be still my Tex-Mex-loving heart! The legendary 7-Layer Dip is like a fiesta on a plate, and you've just taken it to the next level with not one, but two tantalizing versions. It's like having the best of both worlds, catering to every occasion and time constraint.🥰
Hi , this recipe looks wonderful . One thing though : refried beans do not exist here in France . I'll have to go find a recipe ....The first version is the one I prefer ! The more veggies the happier I am 😊
I don't know about France but in Germany large grocery stores have like a Mexican/TexMex isle and there you can usually find canned refried beans. If not you can simply cook pinto beans, then fry the cooked pinto beans in a little oil in a pan and then mash them. You can also simply used cooked pinto beans and leave them whole.
@@Greenhealthycooking thanks for the tip , I’ll look in the "exotic " aisle. But pinto beans are extremely rare in France ( I’ve never eaten any ) but I’ve found a French online site that sell them , so I’ll order some if I can’t find them in a shop and in the meantime I’ll cook my white beans and use that . I’m going to try the first recipe on Tuesday when I get my weekly veggies shopping . Thanks a lot 🙂
I usually just cook the beans in the Instant Pot (greenhealthycooking.com/instant-pot-beans/), then to refry I preheat a large pan over medium heat, add a generous splash of oil, then fry a little onion and often also finely chopped jalapeño and add the beans with lots of bean water and use a potato masher to mash them up a little. When in a rush, I just buy the canned version.

@@marie34K I'm sure it will taste delicious with any kind of bean.
Do you have a recipe for refried beans?

What are the refried beans? 🤔
Cooked pinto beans fried in a little oil and then mashed. You can buy them ready mashed and refried in a can or you can make them yourself.
Always a crowd pleaser
