Although Dmitry Shishkin only got 6th Place in this competition, yet only he and the 1st Prize winner, Seong-Jin Cho, actually went on to become internationally recognized and earned an international career as pianists. I guess you cannot keep down real talent no matter what the judges may say.
This is very true. My teacher once told me that competition winners frequently have less prestigious careers than those who didn't win. I've seen it happen many times over the years.

Maybe in the future I also would like to hear somewhat more about his background : his youth, his upbringing, the school he attended, his family ( parents and siblings ), other things of his life and so on.
