Every piece by Chopin is among the greatest romantic compositions ever. Gives the performer so much to explore.

He's the best music interpreter I've ever heard. There is much more to playing music than just playing the notes. He projects the feelings in the music more successfully than anyone I've ever heard before. It's a privilege to hear him play. Happy birthday on the 12th.

His interpretation of the Finale (Presto) is unique and brilliant. Most pianists turn it into a race to see how fast they can play it.... and it's really nice to hear a nuanced performance by someone who certainly has the technical ability to outcompete most any pianist in such a race.

I cannot say I have diligently and thoroughly watched all the great pianists young and old available in recording but I have heard many. This young man has a physical and technical ability on the instrument that is exceptional even among those greats.

One of the best if not the best performance I have ever heard of this Sonata. It is truly involved musical understanding, lyrical and powerful. Magnificent Chopin playing., so clear and moving, with no mannerism. Very deep but refreshing vision. So simple and right.

ALL the contestants who enter competitions at this level are wonderful, and ALL deserve to have successful performing careers, but THIS guy is a CHAMPION among the GIANTS in his field. « TO THE YOUNG RUSSIAN, DMITRY, WITH LOVE »AGAIN. Ordinary words in English are not adequate enough to express my admiration for your dedication to all of the music you play. You are completely focused on the task before you as those wonderful artistic hands express what the composer wants; this is especially so in Rachmaninov, and the Chopin you are now playing. Your whole heart speaks to us. One day, hopefully, we will be fortunate enough to hear you here, in Australia. Thank you for the ‘Lockdown’ concert you played during the COVID-19 situation. It brought us all much happiness.

Il doit encore faire un bout de chemin pour élargir son repertoire et trouver les mêmes vérités autant dans la musique allemande (Mendelssohn,Schumann, Brahms que française, que je n'ai pas vu dans ses enregistrements.
