My grandfather worked at supermarine and did all the copper tubing on those aircraft, His name was Herbert Colling but thats all I know.My mother used to take me to see the aeroplane when it was on the royal pier at Southampton.
What romance, imagine seeing it..407 mph with two great floats underneath...Britain led the world in aviation
