Beautiful vid. Tks for sharing. I just installed new 1 way bearing and test drove and had no low end torque. So took apart again and noticed a roller out of place on the clutch 🤦🏼♂️. Took apart and cleaned that big mess and replaced rollers and greased and just like new again. Once again, Tks for sharing this vid. Great step by step instructions.
Thank you for this video. I had ordered Grizzly clutch weights from you guys to install in my Kodiak and I wasn't sure how much grease to use. This video made it easy to reference that and a couple other things.
Awesome had no idea about the grizz clutch my friend had a 07 camo 700 grizzly he sold it with 5600 miles on it never looked in there once had a stator issue under a recall and that's it that grizzly never said die.
Hey I ordered a new primary sheave but that did not fix my problem. The bike turns on but when you put it in gear it kicks and makes a nasty noise. What could it be ?
Howdy, I'm new to this stuff and I'm looking to learn. I have a new to me 2008 Rhino 700 FI sport edition. It's been well kept but I want to replace the v belt and all the fluids. Do you have any videos showing work being done on a Rhino 700 ? Also is the motor and belt that your working on in this video the same as in the Rhino 700 ?
Hello, thank you very much for your videos. I wanted to ask you a question. I removed the auto clutch (same as your video) on my Bruin 350. After cleaning, changing gaskets, grease... I reassembled it. I circled 3 km and the nut came loose, I tightened it again and the same thing happened. Could it be because I didn't use torque wrenches? I tightened it with an impact driver but without knowing the torque Nm. Thank you.
I have oil coming out of the clutch panel drain plug on my Yamaha 2005 Kodiak 450. Is there a seal I need to replace along with cleaning out everything and regreasing clutch, etc. and replace belt? Any suggestions would help. Thanks
Hey man, the weights fell out of my clutch😞 and it didn’t wanna go all the way in to screw back in, and put the washer and nut on, shocked it and one of the weights were bent and plastics on the weights were broken, help me! Please and thank you.
Thanks for the video, John. Is there a reason that you didn't take apart the secondary clutch to clean/lubricate it too? I know it's more involved considering the spring and everything, but should it typically be serviced at the same time as the primary, or it seems that it go longer? In general, at what mileage would you say these clutches need lubricated? I'm sure conditions play into this as well. Thanks!
My 06 kodiak with irs is not allowing the cvt to spread and rise the belt reaching a max speed of about 10 mph and it will let the rpms go to it hit the rev limiter but if in neutral the primary and secondary wrong as if nothing is wrong what do you possibly think it is or where do I start
Gummed up weights - take it apart and grease like this video shows. Possibly the cam sliders are installed upside down, if it was recently serviced. I just did my Kodiak 450 which is basically the same design.

You can loosen your secondary with the bolts you removed from your clutch housing
Never tried, but I don't think they are long enough.
@@PartzillaParts the two longer bolts from the cage are long enough
That's how I did mine. The two long ones work great
@@PartzillaParts yep the 2 longer case bolts work
Same

Great video, great channel, subscribed! 2015 grizzly.
Tremendously useful content. Thank you.
where can i find that strap clutch holder? i tried to locate on the website with no luck. id love to get one
Another good one John! Thanks!
nice spin of satisfaction at 8:42 lol
Cool glasses ! 👍😁
Do you have to drain the oil just to do this step?
Are there any bearings that should be changed during this process?

Sir, are you sure it's a reverse thread, bec I have an '04 Grizz 660, and with a 4ft breaker bar, the nut on the clutch is not coming loose. ??
professional!

When are you going to do some videos on some of the older machines. 2003 to 2006 suzuki and polaris.
Other videos say to use red loctite on primary sheave outside nut. Is this necessary?
Hi what's the clutch torque specs for 2020 grizzly 700 eps
Excellent video
Can you show me the wet clutch installation and parts for a 1998 Yamaha grizzly 600
Have to do this to my 03 Kodiak 4x4 and get tub of that ultraMatric grease

use Polyurea Grease inside the hub of the sheave
Are we supposed to use that on the weights too now that the ultramatic grease is no longer available?
@@BanginCB7 i bought a tube of that ultrmatic grease here in nb canada last week march 2021
What grease do you suggest using since we cant get Ultramatic grease now? Thanks
So helpful
If I have groves wore in my sheve does it need to be replaced
Light markings should be ok, deep grooves, replace
Thank you, very well done video!
You forgot the same bracket on the break line that I did. First bolt to the right of top center on case cover.
Do you put lock nult on cluch bolt
On the bearing carrier, do you use conventional wheel bearing grease?
Instead of that sheave tool or can i use a strap wrench?
I my self used a ratchet. Anything to hold it without breaking it yes.
Super good video great job. thanks
2000 grizzly 600 is this the same way to do this and is the torque the same
Such excellent videos I subscribed
Master, can I still add grease to a primary clutch on a yamaha bws 125 or yamaha nmax? and serve any fat?
Awesome video
I cleaned the cage and bearing was just a 8mm
can i get parts for my 2018 kymco 700i MXU ATV

Would this be the same torque specs on 2020 700?
@partszilla what causes the primary clutch to not fluctuate in and out like it's supposed to when revving the engine

mine is doing that too can’t find nothing did you find out what to do ?
What did you use to remove the old grease
reyes2581 i would use either mineral sprits or Brake cleaner will work.
How do you keep your weights from falling out while re installing
gob that grease in there...it will hold them.
Wrong info. He uses way too much grease. And the grease doesn't hold the rollers. You squeeze it together, keep it together until you have the nut on.
I’m wondering why my kodiak 450 is extremely sluggish taking off and only reaches speeds of 20mph. Could this be the culprit?
When you're going 20 are you at high rpms? This could be a few other things, bad ECM, fuel or air issues or electrical issue.
Partzilla no, the motor is very sluggish and low powered when accelerating. Never reaching high rpms unless in neutral.
@@elibanks9542 So not the clutch. It's going to need some testing. Check compression, valves, air and fuel.
What was the torque spec on the bearing cage bolts?
7.2 ftlbs
Is it the same process for a 16-19 kodiak 700?
yes
@@jasonmorehouse3756 thank you
This setup is used as far back as 03
First, Haha love yall's videos
Hello I have a 2011 Yamaha grizzly 450. And I want to go faster! What can I add on to it to get faster?
Primary Sheave, the first and only on the internet to not call it a clutch
They are 6 mm bolts, NOT 10 mm--they have a 10 mm hex head...
Yes so it's refered to add a 10mm as that's the tool size used on it. Educate yourself bud
