Greetings Dylan! I always click the Like button at the start of your videos because that is a given. Awesome. I have an EAF on order now for a few months. My longer focal length scope seems to need it the most and changes focus since our day and night time temperatures often differ by a full 40 degrees F or more. Good stuff.

For planetary, an ADC is by far the top accessory outside of a suitable barlow and a camera.

Yeh it's an obscure filter isn't it? It's not quite the detail you'll get with a proper solar scope but its FAR superior to the blank white disk you get with white light :)

I'd love a narrower dual or triband filter for my RASA 11 but I don't think one exists yet, I do use the IDAS NBZ filter with my OSC camera & it does a great job.

About the white solar filter + solar continuum configuration I read somewhere that a plain ir/uv filter with the white light and continuum filter would help get better surface detail. Any truth to this and if so would the order of the filters be a factor? THANKS

I think by "anti-static cloth" you mean "microfiber cloth." (I have some nice Zeiss ones from Wal-Mart.) Anti-static cloths, at least 40 years ago, left behind a thin film of silicone -- they were for cleaning film, not optics.

NICE M20! Just curious, do you Bin 2x2 on the QHY268 or is it even needed considering you're using the EQ8?
I avoid binning almost all the time! I'd rather downsample later than acquire less information in each sub, even if it's slightly oversampled :)

It's a counterweight .. counterweight throwing is a real star party event but I filmed that for a short skit with Woodland Hills YT channel for the "astro olympics" 😆

Hey Dylan, you need a licence to use any laser over 1mw (AKA useful) in Western Australia. Being a member of an Astronomical society doesn't exempt you from needing a licence any more :(

The USB leads that come with ZWO gear are really bad. I had two nights ruined for what turned out to be dodgy leads. Replaced the whole lot with nice braided ones. Plus they look cool.

I could understand a highpower ir or uv based laser considering they can burn. Causing.... Fires........
We don't muck around in Australia. I'm supposed to keep my nerdy, low power, green astro laser in a locked gun cabinet (no shit). But the burning AC powered one is fine have lying around because it's technically not portable and therefore not a firearm lol.

Be very very careful with lasers even reflection can cause blindness and they don’t have to be very powerful to do it a .25w laser is enough to cause permanent eye damage or blindness! They are not a toy and always keep them locked away when not in use
I have safety goggles for myself (and the kids) and have burned myself and my walls enough to have a healthy respect for them :)

True .. could be my bias here... I use an SCT that almost never moves and hasn't needed collimation since purchase.
@@DylanODonnell I have for years wondered why especially refractor users are scared or can't collimate their scopes. This is a problem that lives on from forum to forum. There is no chance that they are tuned strait out of the box after arrival. I always check all mine before the season starts and once in the middle of it.

@@PetraKann We have the same rules here in Aus for banning politicians with foreign interest or dual citizenship. USA has the same rules too. It's even muddier if you share a border with a country you're at war with. It's like if Mexico invaded USA and then you had to ban politicians with Mexican sympathies. Ukraine and Russia were even closer than that with many shared families. It's a shit show for sure.
