@@VibingBlueViperpretty sure that’s a myth because we can technically only see a certain distance in space due to the light not reaching us yet. The universe could theoretically be infinite
@@loco3514 No. The Pleiades looks nice through a telescope, but it won't look nearly as good as the image. This is true will all astrophotography you see. This is because the camera is much more sensitive than our eyes, and it can do long exposures of multiple minutes. To get images like these you stack a few hours worth of individual images on top of each other. This allows the camera to see extremely faint things like the nebulosity in this image. Hope this helps!
Thanks for sharing. I'm pretty new to all this and decided to point my camera at Pleiades this past weekend. Very pleased with the results for not even knowing what is was prior.
I just got into astrophotography about a month ago so I'm pretty new to it, but your videos are amazing inspiration. I also shot the Pleiades Friday night through my skywatcher evostar 72 and it's so gratifying to get a good result after post processing! Keep up the good work!
it is unbelievable how beautiful is the night sky. these days I was looking to pleiades and took a picture with a dslr camera. doesn't matter the result. what is nice is when we know that there is more than what we can see. also it is very relaxing.
What I remember is the always overexcited Trevor unboxing videos at the old backyard in the garage, whenever anyone sent you anything to try out back then, as always a pleasure watching someone who enthuses our hobby, cheers Trev.
The TRUE definition of your channel is simply, PASSION. I don't care what it is you're doing in this crazy world. Have passion for something. Take notes from this guy if you need a reference.
Relaxing is how I would describe it. The silence of the night as you sit outside looking up at the stars in awe of the world out there.....and the atmosphere just perfect!
I saw the Hyades and Pleiades for the first time through my 15x70 binoculars the day before and like you said, they blew my mind. Etched in my memory forever.
This is my favorite object to look at in the night sky with the naked eye. Looking straight into the cluster with my eyes yields little to no results. I find most satisfaction when observing through my peripheral vision. In my eyes it seems to show the true scope and massiveness of the star cluster, viewing adjacent to the cluster yields true beauty in my eyes. It’s easy to see how our ancestors and their ancestors were fascinated by this cluster. Even in our now light polluted skies. Truly magnificent beauty to behold.

You've got to be approaching the weight limits of your EQ6 with 3 counter weights in place. You've taught me so much over the last several years. Thank you Trevor for a great presentation. It was great that you introduced your wife to the shoot and also your “best mate”! It just rounded the presentation so well. I really enjoy your passion!
I'm pretty new to this hobby but I stumbled across this cluster when I was surfing the starry sky with my telescope about a month ago. An absolutely incredible experience! Thanks for a very nice video! =)
I remember capturing Pleiades by accident. When I learned which one is Pleiades, I look at it as long as I can and it is so beautiful and surreal experience!
WOW! What an amazing coincidence. I was just out looking at the Pleiades last night and thinking about how I want to get a picture of them myself. How cool!
Last night at 11:30 I went outside and saw the Orion constellation for the first time. I looked up higher and also saw Pleiades for the first time. I woke up and this vid was suggested. Just found that interesting
You're absolutely right about not ever forgetting the first time you ever see the Pleiades. I'll never forget when I was 10 years old and it was my first trip to the planetarium and my science teacher asked us to see if we could point it out without being told where it was. I was the first in the class to see it and point it out. I'm now 40 years old but since then I've always been fascinated with the night sky and whenever I'm outside on a clear night I make it a point to locate the 7 Sisters whenever I can
I live vicariously through your gear. I’m new to this but you video about the apertura 8” dob convinced me to buy my first scope. When you got emotional talking about looking through it, I had that feeling when I looked at the moon through my 8” dob. I love this channel. I hope one day I can take produce some stuff half as good as these. Cheers.
Everything i saw here so far was no less than PERFECT!!! Video editing, quality of final photos, overall knowledge of subject and so on! And so is this PLEIADES photo, i am really stunned! Almost no difference from world best astro photos made with far bigger instruments. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I have a low-quality, pixelated image of the Pleiades I captured through my telescope with my iPhone one of my first nights of astronomy this summer. To see what the star cluster actually looks like is absolutely astounding. Thanks, Trevor!
Love that 132 Trevor... it's a beast, and looks MUCH better in its toned-down colour scheme. I had the 110 a few years back, and I hated that it could only be bought in that chintzy gold trim. Lovely scope, otherwise.
Very awesome shot! Here recently, this has been my next target I've been eyeing to capture. Last night I looked up at it a few times, through a partly cloudy sky...so I didn't end up doing any imaging, but I did manage to see a Taurids meteor!
Beautiful Capture Of Pleaides Trev. I love Looking at Pleaides with My Binoculars. Thats Definately One Of My Favorite Target's I have Started With In deep Sky Object's !! : D
Thank you Trevor for posting this. I just picked up a Nikkor 300mm F4.5. Once the clouds break I plan on testing it on the Pleiades and the Orion Nebula. It’s the Non internal focusing lens so I hope I got a winner. Great to see your wife & Rudy too.
Hi Trevor, as always you seem to exceed my expectations when I see your final image... I managed to capture the Orion nebula for the first time this season while contending with a 70% lit moon with a un modified dslr apsc canon with no filters, mounted to a expensive paper weight (meade LS"6) I managed X10 15sec exposures @ iso 800... then watched your video on deep sky stacker tutorial, and managed to get 6 stacked images into LRC to do the final edit, as I can't get my head around photoshop yet... I was quite chuffed with the final results for only my second attempt at shooting a deep space nebula with an unmodified camera... Keep up the great work as you inspire not only me but 100s other new astro imagers...
Pimpin out the DSLR! It kinda sux how it's been warm, a few weeks ago it was cold and I loved how I didnt have no hot pixels, it really makes a HUGE difference when that sensor is nice and cool...u know I only live about 5hrs from where u live, we pretty much get the same weather as u do...and I have to tell u that my wife's name is Ashley too, I learn alot from your experience with astrophotography...Clear Skies!!!!!!!
Awesome Trevor! One of my favorite objects in the night sky. Hopefully after this tropical storm we will have clear and cooler nights so I can get back to astrophotography.
I shot a picture of the Seven Sisters trough my 80/400 refractor and MF-3 cheap sky tracker. I got 37 minutes of exposure (30sec images at ISO 3200) and it is my favorite picture I took yet.
I set up my scope and camera. Come in to watch RUclips and you appear on my list, and photographing the Pleiades, my target for tonight. What a great coincidence. Loved the vid.💙
I shot Pleiades with the redcat on Saturday but haven't had a chance to look at the data yet. If it's 1/100th as good as yours, I will be a happy girl. Figure I'll be spending the winter months learning how to process.
Just got into astrophotography right after covid hit unfortunately all i have is a camera phone and bionoculars at the moment still a amazing experience
We all start somewhere👍🏼 All I have to see the stars is my the camera from my iPhone 12 Pro but I still haven’t yet figured out how to use night mode on the camera
I just tried my first stacking in dss today with 20x 30second subs at iso 400 on the Pleiades. Could only see starts with a tiny amount of nebulosity. Probably should of done higher on the iso and exposure which was why I am here, to compare those settings. Thanks to your videos I have spent way to much money on this hobby for only a few photos... but I love it haha!

When I was younger I called the Pleiades the “tiny dipper,” since that’s what it looked like to me. It’s always been easy to pick out.
My girlfriend calls it her Little Dipper😂
Me too! Always mistakenly thought it was the little dipper
Me as well! I always thought it was the little dipper as a child.
Same here but I called it blue digger
I never saw it without a telescope. I have only seen Orion nebula, some 25 or so stars, 4 objects from solar system........ Sad life.
Almost every time you show the finished image i tear up. How can something this beautiful even exist?
