For me, I’m getting 2 of these, 1 for a classic Mcfarlane Venom where he wasn’t gigantic tall, the other I’ll swap the arms out for a slimmer pair and turn him into Jim Lee Magneto
Ah! Thanks! I bought him from BBTS and no where did they include "Muff Toys" (though I've definitely heard of them), nor was Muff Toys mentioned anywhere on the box. That's very weird, but I do see other sites listing it. I wonder why the info is so inconsistent?
Is Big Bad Toy Store currently shipping that ? Also you have a great channel I’ve been watching since Thursday and have learned a lot about blank figures .
I was gonna say that this is the model for Chaos Studio Superman, but you already knew 😂 So you think it's going to be a fine figure with this mold?80-100€ is not cheap...The faces and details looks promising for sure
He's a little too big for Superman for my tastes. He's a good size for a Thor or Luke Cage, but I can see him being a nice Superman if you prefer it bigger, beefier!
I’m considering buying this figure for a customized venom from Spider-Man 2, but my concern is what kind of head sculpt would fit with this guy from other brands such as Mezco, MAFEX, Sh Figuarts, ML, etc.
It's a great figure! Heads that fit on the figure depend on the figure itself. Not all Mez, Mafex, etc., heads are the same size peg hole. Get yourself some sticky tac from Amazon (or hot glue gun) and a dremel to increase/decrease the peg holes!
@@allaboutarticulationSo with the glue gun, fill the peg hole for the desired head sculpt, wait for it to dry, and then with the Dremel, drill the size I'm going for.
Yes, or you may not even need to dremel it at all. Before it cools, stick the head onto the peg and let the glue mold to the peg's shape. Give that a try!
Adam strong is 6.8 already, adding boots will make it more tall. Luke cage is not that tall. I think what you have done with the VToys is crazy good. That's just my take on it.
Hey man, got a bit of a specific request but I was thinking of making a battle damaged Bruce Wayne figure (shirtless, bandaged up etc.) based on the Sovereign Knight Mezco Batman, but I was wondering what blank buck you would recommend to match the height and musculature of the Sovereign Knight, he’s got quite a beefy chest so I’m struggling to decide which one would match the height and width of him. Thanks! Just found your videos and I’ve been loving them, thought you’d have the expertise to give me a rec!
Hey! Thanks for the nice words, much appreciated!! I think, if you're looking for a Mezco Batman comparable figure, its without a doubt the GW Toys 001 body. I don't have Sovereign, but I do have Supreme Knight and I'm comparing it right now as I type this, and height, thickness, musculature... it's GW Toys 001. NW Toys is a tad too slim (he'd be perfect for a NightWing) and Vtoys is taller (which I prefer, but you're asking specifically to fit Mezco, so that's a no-no). It's GW Toys all the way. I do see some availability on Aliexpress if you're comfortable going that route; I've ordered many figs from there and never had a problem! Good luck!!
@@allaboutarticulation thanks for the quick response man, appreciate it! Keep up the good work, GW 001 seems like the way to go! You got a new subscriber :)
I just tried painting for the first time. It's not as easy as it sounds. Paint tends to chip off at the joints easily (where there is friction), even with good primer. Even just for the painting process, you'd have to break down the figure entirely to do so. So you'd have to keep track of parts too.
I buy pretty much all blank bodies because I love customizing soft goods figures. I bought this particular but I couldn't come up with an ideas. Then I came across an ebay seller with superhero costumes. Now I have a near perfect soft goods Thor using the costume and a used, 80 years Thor. Now If Hasbro ML would release a Doc Samson figure, I'd have another custom to make using this ADAM blank body.

He’s called Adam, it’s from Mufftoys

I want like 3 of these. 1 for a soft goods thor, 1 flr a soft goods He-man, and 1 to dye green and make a classic soft goods martian manhunter.
This would be a perfect base for an absorbing man custom! 🤯
Oh I hadn't thought of that! Good point

The hands and the body is a baki figure waiting to happen

Would this figure be a perfect base body for Jason Voorhees?
I think so! The biggest hurdle would be to find "Jason-type" clothing for a figure that big. He IS huge!

Hulk
Can't you just paint this one to be darker?
I can try, but I'm not very confident in my painting skills. I'm afraid I'm going to ruin it!
