"Daredevil on auto pilot" is the perfect way to describe this run. It seems like it should have all the pieces there, but it's so unbelievably boring with (imo) very ugly and inconsistent art. And it's SO SLOW! I feel like once you are at "Introductory Rites Part SEVENTEEN" you've screwed up the pacing so bad it's laughable. But DD has had some pretty low lows and some exceptional highs, so I'm keeping the faith that the book will eventually return to the quality that fans expect and deserve. It started off with interesting themes but it quickly diverged into a drag of a comic run that feels like it wants to get rid of all the development that was put into Matt Murdock over the years.

Another great review. I can only reiterate that Marvel and DC should close their doors for at least 5 years, or each company should pick 10 to 15 titles and concentrate on improving the quality, storylines, and in most cases the art. Not going to happen. Daredevil was one of my top three Marvel characters: Spider-Man (of course), Captain America, and Daredevil. I can't follow Captain America (Steve Rogers) as his comic has been canceled ending at issue # 16. Spoiler alert. It's implied in this comic; Spidey is checking out Thor in that issue. If Marvel makes Peter gay or bisexual, I'm never coming back. DC is no better than Marvel with most of their comics. Spoiler alert. I finished the animated series "Creature Commandos" by Gunn/Safran, and it was just OK. Not a great start to the DCU. I don't think the show is rewatchable nor do I care about watching a second season. Sorry I digressed. I think the "Daredevil" comic should be renamed "IdareyouMarvel" to write a good Daredevil story arc. Yet I know I'm beyond this. The franchises I grew up with in the 1970s and 1980s are completely different today. IMO, they've been ruined. Marvel and DC characters from the comics to live-action movies and TV shows to the animated movies and TV shows are mostly horrible. Franchises like "Alien" Star Wars", Star Trek, "Terminator", etc. are painful to watch. When Ahsoka replaces Luke Skywalker for the "Heir to the Empire" arc, I'm just resigned to the fact these franchises aren't for me. Unfortunately, I keep feeling I have to "hang on" and hope Marvel does one thing right by changing the direction of Spider-Man. It's tragic that year in and year out, nothing changes, it seems to only get worse. Keep up the great work. Keep developing and diversifying your channel, don't be discouraged by the terrible story arcs of your favorite characters, just carry on. Cheers!

X-men? too cluttered at this point
avengers? is that even a series anymore in comics??
I just hate how far marvel has fallen man, it makes me so sad.
dc however, not sure if its the DC 'ALL IN' branding or not, just catch my eye, and where ive enjoyed only usm from marvel, ive been enjoying multiple titles from dc where I wasnt overwhelming depressed at wasting $7 on a new comic.
just my two cents tho :)
doesn't excuse the current state being so low where a series thats good or fun is like a genuine highlight now!
but thank you my good man, definitely plan to keep mixing up the characters to give the channel a bit of spice, it'll be nice for someone to see the videos and think "oh nice, finally someone who does..."
That's not spiderman!! I read chips run up until he went to prison then dropes it. I also read born again which was awesome. Until the end. That's all my daredevil comics knowlege
born again is PEAK. genuinely an all timer imo for comic stories
@@mnstash Funny You say that. I would agree AND The Ending is Complete TRASH !! prime example why marvel is trash. Thats their best lol
Just like Kraven Last hunt!
At this point I just want Elektra and Matt to get back together atleast just that and I'm solved.
it sucks because ahmed shoved them apart for no reason, idk why everyone is acting like such a douche to matt after he essentially saved everyones life
@@mnstash I wish the next run would focus on Matt patching his relationships specially with Elektra... I wouldn't mind that being the premise. A broken man mending his broken world being the light when all seems lost in the eyes of his God, friends, and Wife.
I hope he puts it all together but the real problem with the run is Matt he’s just a baby
he certainly acts like one! I dont see this coming together at the end sadly
Great video once again
Thank you mate I appreciate it :)
Here is where you went wrong, you did not research the writers history once you are aware of that and learn he should not be involved with these characters
I don’t think it makes a difference to my video. What are you referring to?
@mnstash his history of anti western behaviour online
@@theragoooverlord5021 I was gonna included a section talking about his beliefs but I wasnt sure if it would come off 'insensitive' or whatever
ill just say I dont think its a coincidence that majority of the best daredevil stories are written by catholics
@@mnstash I wanted to believe a good writer could just get into any character and universe and get them right. But the current marvel and dc people can only really write their beliefs and who they are.
….no, please don’t tell me Daredevil is bad too now
Im sorry to tell you this, but the current run is genuinely really boring and overall just bad
@ that’s sad, I’m a huge Spidey fan and by proxy, I’ve always enjoyed Daredevil comics. For both of my boys to be 0/2 in the comics is just terrible
I gave it a try but it's really boring and the story is dull and repetitive. The only thing going for the books are the Romita covers.
no good thing ever last for eternity
Can’t wait for Ahmed to leave the book
same here! he's butchered every single aspect of daredevil
It sucks because it had good ideas but wasted it
yep this series has just been one big major disappointment
I feel like they brought back Matt way too quickly. The first year of this Daredevil run should've been focusing on Elektra as Daredevil and protecting Hell's Kitchen.
Ouch. Guess Daredevil himself is starting to go downhill.
Guess Marvel really hates its Catholic and Christian heroes...
Braindead take
@albertmilton9424 Not really. Have you seen what they did to Nightcrawler?
@@BrandontheAwesomeWell they did made NightCrawler a furry in Gail Simone run
I wanted to keep beliefs and such seperate but after reading some comments, it's no wonder why Saladin Ahmed is a horrible choice for the writer
@@mnstash Yeah, it's getting harder and harder to stay neutral on the topics of politics and religion when it comes to discussing fiction these days.
Romita jr is a terrible artist
The covers he does for daredevil are really really bad😭
I only like issue 1 and 3 of his covers from that run
He's used to be soo good.
He's just been doing this for a while he used to be one of the best imo but yeah his current art isn't as good
His style surely has deteriorated over the years. Back in the day, it was an entirely different story.
