Nolans Gaming I was hoping so. Just not sure how it was relevant 😂 I mean there were very few (If any, redshirts, etc) players that would be on the team in 2011 and 2015. Weird regardless lol
You have to be stupid if you think Harbaugh should go. He's made Michigan into the most profitable program in the conference. He's turned the team around. Michigan is viewed as an elite program, but they haven't been the best program since before the fifties. They were the best program for almost 50 straight years from 1900-1950. thats why they have the highest winning percentage. Now they have averaged as like the 20th best program for 70 straight years. Harbaugh has turned them around. Michigan should no longer expect national championships.
Under performing and failure are two different things. He deserves some criticism yes, but to Klatt's point Michigan was at an ALL TIME LOW due to Rich Rod and Hoke and Ohio State was and is at all an time high thanks to Urban.

UM's prob going to be looking up at OSU AND Penn St. for a while. I m not a UM fan, so I'm not close to the feelings over there, but I think Mich fans expected WAY too much out of Jim. He's a good coach, but he's not even the best coach in his family. He's nowhere near the level of of a Saban, Meyer or Swinney, but I think that's what they expected.
It has been said that since 2016; Ohio State has recruited 69 (4 & 5 star recruits), ands 18 1st or 2nd round draft picks. Michigan has recruited 71 (4 & 5 star recruits) and 4 1st or 2nd round draft picks. It’s how players are developed🤔🤔
me = diehard Michigan fan. I agree - he SHOULD go to the NFL! Good-fucking-riddence!! Oh, but then there's the whole thing with the fact that I don't remember hearing absolutely anyone offered Harbaugh a job!
Man I like Klatt but he has been going hard on the harbaugh apologist game. He has a point that OSU is at a historically great clip the past few years but that doesn't excuse getting shellacked by Wisconsin and Penn State. If they were 11-1 and lost close to OSU they would probably be in the playoff field, Wisconsin has legit academic restrictions that affect recruiting and even less on field tradition so those excuses are off the table. Either Harbaugh really isn't as great as yall keep hyping him up to be or he is a failure at this point... it's year five and they are not improving since his first season there.
"If they were 11-1 and lost close to OSU they would probably be in the playoff field" is maybe my favorite point about this year I have heard man. There were issues this year beyond just the OSU game... And also, the way we got destroyed by OSU was a big negative as well. You encapsulated both of these points well. This year really broke me on Harbs. Last year I started to break, because the OSU game was unacceptable. But we honestly did have personnel and scheme issues. I blamed guys like Devin Gil, Brandon Watson, and of course Don Brown. This year was NO better.. Not even slightly.... Disappointing to say in the least. This is a great Ohio State team, and that point has a valid place in this argument. But you're right to imply that this statement only lowers the bar of an acceptable season to 11-1 with a competitive loss to OSU. The other losses.... The blowout to OSU.... Those things cannot just be brushed under the rug. Also, I really like Klatt as well and I have been a big Harbaugh supporter the last few years, but I even think his takes have gotten pretty soft on Harbaugh, which is a little disappointing.
1:30 I love Klatt and his analysis but when I heard this I threw up in my mouth a little. And *Jim Harbaugh will never beat Ohio State. Ever.* #BuckeyeNation
Hey guys good show. I think the narrative on Harbaugh has changed from bring out the pitchforks to let's feel sorry for Jimmy over the past few weeks. I guess it brings in a bigger viewer base if they utter both sides of the story. Mainstream media is very much like that. They want a train wreck.
You can call it "moving the goal post" or "downgrading" the program but that war era of Michigan football is so ancient and irrelevant at this point. As life happens and these old people from the early-mid 1900's die, people like me, born in the 1990's and 2000's will have realistic expectations from a program that hasn't even been close to elite basically since birth. Why should I expect a playoff? Michigan is not a top 5 program based off recent/relevant success or recruiting. Realistic expectations for this program is around the top 10 each year and every 3-4 years have their team make a run for a title. They are a second tier program along with the Floridas, Texas, USC, Notre Dames of the world. Historically great programs without really much success in the last decade.
Ohio State didn't become super-elite until the mid-2000's. After the Tressel title in 2002 OSU went through a period similar to what Michigan is. Program went nuclear under Urban. It's only in recent memory that Ohio State vaulted past Michigan in a huge way. Michigan is a blue blood with resources, branding, and history. You can argue it's not relevant, but schools like Clemson were flagship schools who happened to be in a rough patch. These programs will persist through the years. It's about finding the right coach to take them to the next level for a period of time.
@@lil-broskiegg9670 I agree for the most part, but back to my point, I don't think the history of Michigan really matters anymore. The kids they are recruiting now were born in the 2000's.... Michigan hasn't even been a contender except for maybe a season or two (06, 16) while they have been born. The kids getting recruited now see Clemson, Bama, Oklahoma, LSU, Ohio State, Georgia as the blue bloods type programs.
@Jerome Jackson 2 out of his 5 years they have classes outside the top TWENTY. You are counting this year as a top 8 class and a lot of those guys have not even played yet?? So I'll give you the 5 and one of the 8's. Michigan undoubtley choked the 2016 season. They were a top 4 team and blew it. MSU made the playoffs in Jim's first year. And literally only made it due to the biggest fluke play in College football history. I am not saying Harbaugh has been great, but he has been solid
@Jerome Jackson what the hell have purdue and iowa done? what are you talking about? Congrats washington and oregon play in the pac 12. There is maybe two good teams in that conference each year. MSU is a complete dumpster fire for 4 years now. I also don't give two shits how much any coach makes. I'm not paying them, does not effect me in anyway.
Colin has been shilling for Jim for many years. Even after his first interview with him showed Harbaugh to have the personality of a coffee percolator. Just looking at his record, would Jim be coming back for a sixth year at Alabama or O.S.U.? In a recent interview, I heard Urban Meyer say that in his contract it was stated that he was expected to win every game. The same statement is in Ryan Day's contract. That may be unrealistic, but the expectation is there and sets the tone. Meyer said the coaching environment is more intense at O.S.U. than he has seen in the NFL and Day is a perfect fit for the job. Is Harbaugh?
If he hadn't gone to Michigan, he would already be out....It's ALL about the 49ers years, but if you SCRUTINIZE that, you find that ALOT of the pieces were already in place--especially the defense..... Have to say the media's narrative on Harbaugh is really BIZARRE.....Since when did FAILURE mean you are a BETTER coach???????????
U.M. coaches have defected to O.S.U. in recent years - why? Harbaugh not only treats the press as enemies, but is a miserable person to work for. O.S.U. coaches leave to head football programs, not lateral moves. A team needs continuity and stability or it becomes the Cleveland Browns. What defines Michigan Football under Harbaugh? There doesn`t seem to be a rabid devotion to winning at U.M. as there is at top tier teams. The person Harbaugh is most loyal to is Don Brown, who is one of the larger problems.
Why does Valenti and other MSU slappies concern themselves so much with Harbaugh and Michigan. Take care of your own front yard before worrying about the neighbors. Last time I checked there is a huge mess in EL with Dantonio winning half of his games in the last 3 seasons.
Who do you have that would be better than Jim? He did take over a bad team/program that was struggling ever since carr left(what 10 years?). It's not like he took over a young Alabama roster. Could he do better? Yes. Is he doing good? Yes. Finding a new coach that will elevate your program to the level of Clemson in a region where several schools compete for recruits is difficult. If you fire Jim it will likely be another joke I mean hoke era.
Some people like many from Michigan who think they have all the answers no one's better than them and Jim Harbaugh is our man because he's the best and he will get us our national championship even after he's done nothing for five years but has got us a bowl game good winning percentage Why should we change cause the officials cheat in us or the press conference reporter insults us or a message on autopilot about how good my team is will make them happy and believe in the great Michigan coach. What a fucking joke to see the Michigan I knew under Bo were winners not scumbug losers
Joel Klatt is the stupidest POS I’ve ever seen. Why people try to tell me he is so smart I will never understand. Clemson spanked that “best team I have ever covered” yet again, btw.
If you can't take criticism I wouldn't suggest be a coach especially at the college or NFL level to get criticized all the time is that really an excuse snow days
Talent requires coaching to succeed. Eleven individuals will always fail against a team on the field - Bo anybody? O.S.U. would have been like U.M. this year if Ryan Day weren't a cut above. Like Steve Deace says, with so much talent how can Michigan be so mediocre? The one answer: Jim Harbaugh.
Mike just jealous because he's stuck in a local market talking about shitty Detroit sports. These guys he's rippin making the big bucks. I love Mike though.
@Jerome Jackson were that at in the NFL so what u get drafted all those Michigan defensive players aint shit in the NFL period wtf i dont care about those college stats lol wtf im talking pros and Michigan dont put out good pros

Are you SURE you still want that??? 🤣🤣🤣
Of course the Spartans alum is all mad at anyone defending Harbaugh.
Sure, he hasn't taken down OSU yet, but since coming to town, Sparty sure as hell has trended downwards.
Most Michigan fans with a pair of balls are saying the same shit as valenti
Why this guy isn't national I'll never know.
How about them Spartans? Mel Tucker is the first Michigan State coach since Nick Saban to win the rivalry game on his first try.
Valenti when Michigan is winning “ Michigan is not a national program “. Valenti When Michigan loses a few games “ Michigan is a national program “ strange ...
THANK YOU!! I argue w/"fans" on twitter all the time about how they have lowered expectations of the program to adjust to our failures. It's SO refreshing to hear someone else say it. And god forbid if you don't join the Jimmy love fest or you're "not a fan" and "need to find another team". Makes me want to puke. NO ACCOUNTABILITY in this program or fanbase. .
Mike didn’t just bring receipts he brought invoices
Why were all of the UM fans saying Harbaugh needed time to succeed because the cupboard was bare as far as talent?
lol....'they use his bathwater and bottle it'.......
Hey mikey why don't you focus on the real crappy program thats falling apart in Michigan, that would be Sparty football, and basketball!
MSU falling in basketball HAHA..PLEASE EXTRACTS UR HEAD FROM U R ASS...and football SPARTY BEAT A RANKED TEAM......MICHIGAN WILL NOT.....
MICHIGAN an over rated program 1 national championship in the last 50 years....check ur stats....
Bo was a loser in bowl game and ZERO National championship....
U of M is better off then they have been in a decade It’s not like it’s MSU that’s what you should be talking about that program is neck to neck with Rutgers and Maryland U of M is headed in the right direction moving forward MSU is moving backwards! Is what it is !
They act like someone else would've beat Ohio State lol the other coaches didnt
@Jerome Jackson the luke fickell year if you count that year okay
No one at FS1 criticizes Jim Harbaugh? Jason Whitlock is one of Harbaugh's biggest critics
Not sure if I’m misunderstanding but did Hatchet say Michigan went to the Sugar Bowl in Year 1? Or was he arguing for Brady Hoke for a second for whatever reason?
He was talking about hoke's first year on 2011
Nolans Gaming I was hoping so. Just not sure how it was relevant 😂 I mean there were very few (If any, redshirts, etc) players that would be on the team in 2011 and 2015. Weird regardless lol
That face at :49.....love it.
Perhaps if Harbaugh gets his third DUI he'll finally get fired?
Under performing and failure are two different things. He deserves some criticism yes, but to Klatt's point Michigan was at an ALL TIME LOW due to Rich Rod and Hoke and Ohio State was and is at all an time high thanks to Urban.
He's still a failure because even those two former head coaches didn't lose to Ohio State as badly as Harbaugh did back to back.
@@mackymode8185 A loss is a loss, What does it matter the score? It's a loss on the resume. Rich Rod never beat the Buckeyes And Hoke beat a 6-7 ohio state team. Really not impressive
@@christopherphillips1435 You lose by 1 point it means you are competitive, you lose by 20+ points, it means you are way off, that's the difference buddy.
@@mackymode8185 are you suggesting rich rod and hoke are more successful than harbaugh then lol?
@@christopherphillips1435 When it comes to Ohio State, maybe. I mean Harbaugh will get you 9 wins per year on average but when he gets clobbered by Ohio State the way he does and it's getting worse, can you honestly say that it's not as embarrassing if not more? I think you know the answer.
As a Buckeye fan I want him there forever. The Buckeyes are gonna embarrass them in C'bus next year.
Ohio State has 3 potential Heisman candidates. Has that ever happened in college football? All there is to do is tip your hat.
Jim Tressel promised he would be M on the 1st day he was hired. National guys dont live the rivalry.
Michigan needs a coach no one has heard of !! That way , y’all have a good excuse when ya loose to OSU
Joel Klatt thought that 2019 OSU team could have beat the New England Patriots
...And where is this radio?? .Idaho!?
UM's prob going to be looking up at OSU AND Penn St. for a while. I m not a UM fan, so I'm not close to the feelings over there, but I think Mich fans expected WAY too much out of Jim. He's a good coach, but he's not even the best coach in his family. He's nowhere near the level of of a Saban, Meyer or Swinney, but I think that's what they expected.
He's 3-2 vs Penn state osu is the only team he has a losing record against
It has been said that since 2016; Ohio State has recruited 69 (4 & 5 star recruits), ands 18 1st or 2nd round draft picks.
Michigan has recruited 71 (4 & 5 star recruits) and 4 1st or 2nd round draft picks.
It’s how players are developed🤔🤔
Tommy Boyd OHio State has 72 since 2016 and UM has 58. That is a lie
me = diehard Michigan fan.
Where you been
1:30 I love Klatt and his analysis but when I heard this I threw up in my mouth a little.
1-8 vs duke is a joke for izzo
i wish john cooper's era had internet back then. that way his 2-10-1 record against michigan get bashed
97.1 not national? I listen to what everyone on the valenti show have to say. and listen everyday. there just better than any" national" station
Harbaugh will be very lucky to equal John Cooper's record, which is looked upon as a complete failure at Ohio State.
Hey Valenti, if you know so much why don't you have the same type of show on a major network like Cowherd?
It's Michigan. Who cares about going to the Citrus Bowl. Lol
Joel and Colin only support Harbaugh because Fox won the TV deal all Bid 10 games. Cant criticize their TV deal teams.
All that love for Harbaugh is misplaced. He has enough love for himself to last three lifetimes.
Jim Harbaugh needs to stay in AA for a longggggg time Mike. Stop telling the truth the cult might wake up.
I would have liked your video but as a buckeye fan I accept the Harbaugh’s national participation trophy presented by Klatt and the Herd
U.M. coaches have defected to O.S.U. in recent years - why? Harbaugh not only treats the press as enemies, but is a miserable person to work for. O.S.U. coaches leave to head football programs, not lateral moves. A team needs continuity and stability or it becomes the Cleveland Browns. What defines Michigan Football under Harbaugh? There doesn`t seem to be a rabid devotion to winning at U.M. as there is at top tier teams. The person Harbaugh is most loyal to is Don Brown, who is one of the larger problems.
LMMMMMMMMMMMFFFAAAAOOOO!!!!!!!!! #gobucks
Why does Valenti and other MSU slappies concern themselves so much with Harbaugh and Michigan. Take care of your own front yard before worrying about the neighbors. Last time I checked there is a huge mess in EL with Dantonio winning half of his games in the last 3 seasons.
Harbaughs recruiting is terrible. The recruiting sites inflate his recruiting for clicks, subscriptions, and memberships.
Harbaugh was hired to beat tOSU....period.
You dont grade college teams on 5 years its year by year cause players are coming and going
I agree with most of what you talk about...but keep NC State out of your mouth, we aren't a punchline to be used.
How many want bet bama rides Harbaughs team in the dirt in citrus bowl?
44-10 Little brother
Sam L What do you have to show for it? You beat a 6-6 MSU team, congrats. No big ten title, no osu win, 9-3 season for 8 million a year. Laughable.
Jake 4-6 is laughable 🗑🗑trash program
Sam L Tyler O’Connor has more wins over OSU than Harbaugh. Laughable.
Sam L 6-6 was our final record.
Mason Murphy 44-10 after you talked a bunch of shit in the off season. Now all u brag about is the past lmaoo Michigan owns you !! 44-10
that awkward moment when klatt is right
not loving the new angle there Mike
Mike just jealous because he's stuck in a local market talking about shitty Detroit sports. These guys he's rippin making the big bucks. I love Mike though.
Mike, why do you hate MICHIGAN so much?
Lol hes a sparty alum genius
How those NFL players doing now Michigan cant recruit
@Jerome Jackson were that at in the NFL so what u get drafted all those Michigan defensive players aint shit in the NFL period wtf i dont care about those college stats lol wtf im talking pros and Michigan dont put out good pros
@Jerome Jackson i dont give a fuck who they coach is they cant and will not beat Ohio State they getting left overs top recruits aint going to none winning Michigan are you kidding me theres a Gap and thats that so what you win a game when the team and a interim coach
What's this guy's deal?
He sucks off anything that wears Spartan apparel. That's his problem
Bo blew too
Hairball sucks ... 5 time Loser to OSU! 2-10 vs top 20 teams ... 5 years and Nothing😂
Hired to beat Buckeyes and made ttun a Failure🏈
Isn't Mike a Michigan st. guy? Its funny that Michigan kills Michigan st. yet he never talks about that. Its such a spartan thing to do: use another team to criticize Michigan because his team cant.
Can’t stand Colin Cowturd
Harbaugh is nothing, the sooner UM fans know it the better
And Michigan State goes 2-10 this season
Well that's 9 minutes and 39 seconds of my life that I'll never get back. Stick to critiquing sports and not other people who do what you normally do. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. That being said I normally enjoy your show.
Your own coach Tom Izzo is sitting at 5-3 after being preseason number 1 and you decide to have another show on what a bad coach Jim Harbaugh is.....Bwahahhaha! Harbaugh could coach that basketball team better
Izzo is almost done and we are relevant every year because of it. Keep moving those goal posts buddy.
jack harrington I would say he’s more like Kirby smart as he fills classes with five star recruits and still blows it
Y'all are so salty! 😂 Call me when Harbaugh wins the Big Ten 👌
Black Rogue says the guy who’s team is completely irrelevant now
@@massenergyspacetime Oh 😭 the past two years have been unbearable since we owned you the past half a decade prior! How will we ever recover??? Most likely faster than your program with less LOL! The simple fact your comparing our schools as far as resources, accolades and resoect says it all. Oh how the mighty have fallen 😂
Valenti is a joke. You have to get content from another station to fill time in your own. Pathetic.
Izzo 1-8 vs duke
