- An ice cream shop in San Francisco was broken into twice the same morning and the owner says much more than cash was taken, costing him thousands of dollars.

I would have to suggest......is just have everyone pay by credit card or paypal/venmo/cash app/apple pay. All people have smart phone just about so shouldn't be that hard. Then just have no cash in the store. As for the equipment I suggest locking them in a room with a pretty secure door with codes to get in. If it's harder to get the stuff, criminals won't enter or they will just move on.
You work hard in California and if the tax man doesn't get you, thieves come for you.
The govment and these dirtbags are in cooperation to drive society off a cliff.

what is happening to San Francisco? I love the city where I used to live for 20 years until I moved to the East Bay in 97. The crimes there is just the tip of the iceberg. A year ago my friend was sucker punched on the face from behind by a homeless person at Marina Green for no apparent reason. He had a broken shoulder blade & one of his knee cap was also broken. Hospitalized for 2 months. The city of San Francisco District Atty. who was recalled recently released the criminal from prison after only spending a few weeks in jail.
I am glad that the news is finally saying that vacancies are happening throughout the city.

Every day, I feel like that I am risking my life to commute for work. I saw the mental illness, homeless, drug takers, and so on in the bus and train. I am mentally stressful out living in SF. I want to move out just because I don't have enough money.
Imagine the disappointment of the second robber when he hears someone already got to the money. Even robbing small businesses is a competitive industry in SF.

Here was a guy pursuing a dream, coming up in the world in a challenging situation, making the community better. The people who undermine his efforts are cruel, unthinking, degenerates. When can we start to expect the police to do something about these types of crimes again.

I don't think owning a shop in the country is worth it anymore, because the violent criminals will never fully pay for their victims' permanent financial and physical damages. Their worst scenario is getting free meals, healthcare and shelter for the rest of their lives, which will be paid by the taxpayers

I admire his character and spirit, but he chose the wrong city to start a business. I believe that the people and government of that city care more about the welfare of criminals than they do businesses. The criminals could easily be arrested and sent to jail. Why isn't that happening?

I suggest a glass partition for the business, iron fences, roll up gates, and railings. It's better to deposit your money in a bank, than keep it in the company safe.

SF doesn't deserve to have business owners like this. Gotta protect and support these businesses because even after getting burglarized repeatedly, they're still willing to stick it out and keep going in hopes that the community will bounce back. They're the last thing standing between civilization and a completely polarized city where everyone is hiding behind caged windows and security doors.
I'm guessing the robbers were previously employees and most likely the people that took money from the register when they worked there.

One way to combat these robberies is going to a cashless payment system. I know it shouldn’t have to be this way but, I think it’s reasonable in this day and age. Apple Pay, Venmo, Cash App, Credit Cards, and Debit Cards.
