I've done the exact opposite of this - took the sub out of the car, removed the foam, then just put a rubber boot mat over the top. I get a really nice whine from the rear drive unit under heavy acceleration which I love 😄 (plus the boot is now larger)
I had the very same issue with a spoiler securing nut deciding it wanted to go walkabout. Drove me crazy till I tracked it down. Good old Ford build quality.
Great video. Similar happened in my I30N with the rear spoiler. I could hear an audible creak from the rear and whilst the bolts weren’t rattling about, they were very loose, meaning the spoiler had some play in it making it creak.
Nice neat job with the foam. Any scope to put the new foam underneath the stock foam inserts, in order to raise that so you don't lose the handy pockets? Or is the boot floor not level enough? Also, I had the same issue with the loose bolts. More finger trouble. 😂
I gave up on trying to solve my rattling dashboard on my Fiesta, (which drove me insane),,, then I found the perfect solution,,, I bought a new Polo,, 😂
