    Will this help get 36 on ACT
    Math if memorize all ?

      Yes! If you want to score 33+, you should know as many of these equations/rules as possible. However, just memorizing the equations is not enough. You need to know how and when to use the equations as well.

    The distance formula is wrong. It should be: d = x2 - x1 and y2 - y1. -----> source: simple google search.

      That’s not the distance formula…

      It doesn't matter what order they are in; this is because you are squaring the expression inside of the parentheses, so the expression will always be positive for both x and y. Just remember to subtract the corresponding x and y values!
      Lets use the coordinates (5,6) and (12,4) as an example. I will switch the order of x1 and x2, as well as y1 and y2.
      d= (x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2
      d= (12-5)^2 + (4-6)^2 = 53
      d= (x1-x2)^2 + (y1-y2)^2
      d= (5-12)^2 + (6-4)^2 = 53
      You get the same answer, regardless of the order x1 and x2 or y1 and y2 are in. For me, the order just depends on how you want to memorize the distance formula. I memorize it like: (x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2 because the x's and y's are in the same order as the slope formula.
      Hope this helps!
