Great video! Here’s a few things to add. The G clip is designed to be installed one way. The tine you grabbed with the needle-nose pliers sits proud of the coil, be sure that side is facing outward. Also, it’s best to have that tine pointing downward for the clip’s resting position. Also, before installing the jug, I’ll lay a sheet of wet fine grit (1500) on a flat surface and lightly “circle sand” the mating surface for the top of the jug, this will help polish away any micro-imperfections. Ride safe!
Good video mate, done well, here's a tip for the gudgeon pin clips, put one of them in the piston before putting the pin in, then you only have to do the other clip whilst in the awkward position with the piston installed, and don't tighten the main studs any tighter than finger tight because when the head nuts are torqued it applies too much pressure at the bottom of the drilling where the studs bottom out and make contact, it can cause the engine case to crack during thermal cycles. Keep it up, really dig your content. Cheers
Note to self, put in one wrist pin clip into piston before attaching it onto the connecting rod. This will help greatly when assembling the piston to the connecting rod.

@@MotoredLife hey man , I appreciate the video , I’m a new builder , on my second build , first one was a engine from bike berry , this one I’m doing now is a pk 80 wildcat , anyway question is what can I do to get the head studs seated in further , I put blue Loctite on them because I heard that was good to do , and I started turning them in and they went about halfway down before the wouldn’t go down any further , I even tried vice grips to get them seated in further , to no avail. I can’t properly torque my head because of this and it leaves a little gap between gasket and cylinder. How can I get these studs seated in further? I appreciate any feedback
Have you seen an 80cc kit with a 1 piece cylinder/head,that bolts on at the Base, and not with studs like what you just built?I bought 1 online.I'd like to know what you think of them,or tips from everyone about it.Thanks.
If the engine is off the bike you can put the piston in the cylinder and then put it down the studs and put the bar thru the rod and piston. I've seen people do it both ways
Was riding yesterday, bike (phatmoto all terrain) died and would start back up. Cleaned the clutch couple days ago, may have got some oil on the clutch but don't believe inside... any suggestions?
I could mount an 80 cc cylinder and piston on a 100 cc engine because in Romania there are no 100 cylinder and pistons, I want to point out that it fits in holes only that the 100 cc cylinder and piston is 50 mm and the 80 cc has 47mm?
Great explanation Mr Alex, very good keep sharing with us your built & upgrades & motorized bike wey learn a Lot ,Say hello Joe & Bros ,suscribes thanks.
Can anyone drop a link to a windowed piston for the bt-80 electric start motor? I can't find any measurements online and I don't have the tools to measure. Thank you
great video alex .question I notice the head has two gaskets on the bottom .if you took away one gasket will it change performance or no difference at all. first time builder.
Normally there is one gasket. I'm wondering why Alex used two as well. Adding a gasket raises the cylinder height creating a slight drop in compression.
I have a question after about 7000 hard mileage I'm rebuilding my motor.while taking the boost bottle off the frame I noticed the boost bottle was completely full of fuel.Is this normal.I ride hard and wide open all the time.
@@MotoredLife it seemed to help the motor idle better, next question. In your opition whitch is better a brass head gasket or copper?.again I ride my bike hard wide open.

If you wanna make it faster straight pipe it. You have to cut off the exhaust and just leave the first part of the exhaust that is connected to the head of the motor. Trust me I did it and it gives it way more power and it will not break I swear I had it like that for like 3 months.
