Plus a number of other great theme songs: "Halfway Home" from _The Earthling,_ "Wherever Love Takes Me" from _Gold,_ "Nice To Be Around" from _Cinderella Liberty,_ "Can You Read My Mind" from _Superman,_ just to name a few.
I was in 4th grade in Missouri and just assumed the tallest building in the world would be in the U.S. Although, not in San Francisco. Waiting to go to a movie like this was a big deal to a midwestern kid in the mid 70s. I would envy today's kids even though I don't see any productions I would be so anxious to see.
So sad that her voice has been silenced by early Alzheimer's I was fortunate to see her perform many times and finally met her in person! Such a lovely person inside and out !!
So sad to hear that, I remember the song and Maureen so well (I still have the LP). Based on my times of grief and loss and advancing age, for those of us who were young then and enjoyed the best of it, we can at least remember. To the young, I give this advice....Dance in the sunshine while you may, for this is your best of times. The times when for most, nothing pains you and you may run just for the sheer joy of it. Remember it well and keep it a special place in your mind, for the passing years will take it from you along with so much you thought would last forever. It will not, and that special memory may give some comfort...
😮 Retro movie greetings from coastal Mississippi. I saw at the Drive In theater in the 70's, Posideon Adventure, Towering Inferno and Earthquake. They don't make story driven movies anymore. I was privileged to meet Maureen years ago❤
Both songs were written by the same team of Joel Hirschhorn & Al Kasha - and both songs won an Academy Award for best original song. Love both songs and love both films.
Maureen McGovern also sang a song in Gold a British film 1974 with Roger Moore, a film I enjoyed more than The Poseidon Adventure and nearly as much as The Towering Inferno
They got smart & put a real singer in the Towering Inferno Maureen McGovern rather than an actress Carol Lynley who cant sing in the Posideon Adventure.
She sang two incredible songs from those 70's disarster movies
Plus a number of other great theme songs: "Halfway Home" from _The Earthling,_ "Wherever Love Takes Me" from _Gold,_ "Nice To Be Around" from _Cinderella Liberty,_ "Can You Read My Mind" from _Superman,_ just to name a few.
My two favorite songs as a kid in the early-mid 70s, as I was very much into disaster movies. Just hearing them takes me back.
I was into 1970’s disaster films as well: Airport ‘75, The Towering Inferno, Earthquake. I have yet to see The Poseidon Adventure!
Hope you enjoy it when you get a chance to watch it.
What a Song ! Morning After just Fit Perfectly with The Poisedon Adventure...It touches you in the Heart....Just Fantastic !!!
The Towering Inferno, oh I love this movie.I love the voice of Maureen.
Wow, I was in junior high when all this came out. What a memory lane trip.

great music...met Maureen several times...so sweet and kind

😢Thank you for the info

What a singer!
Until now I love the songs she sings

I was born in the late fall of 1978. Great Song! Great Song! Great Video!
Both songs were written by the same team of Joel Hirschhorn & Al Kasha - and both songs won an Academy Award for best original song. Love both songs and love both films.
I love this songs I'm just only 10 years old before
Maureen Youngstown loves you!!
What?!!!! Awesome!!!!!!!!
Nice song can heat this on ❤ love song hit the soul ❤
She sang three popular theme songs in the movies:
1) Posoidon
2) Towering inferno
3) Superman
Bella melodia una de mis favoritas
Maureen McGovern also sang a song in Gold a British film 1974 with Roger Moore, a film I enjoyed more than The Poseidon Adventure and nearly as much as The Towering Inferno
Lisa Simpson sang a great version of Morning After but it was called This Ship is Headed for Disaster
Un estupendo tema
Quando cinema era cinema 1974
Remember Towering Inferno 1976
1974
Muito lindo 😢
❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much.
se fue el tiempo!
Maureen mcgover esta internada em um ospicio ?????😢😢😢😢
How did Maureen McGovern escape Tower Inferno? Anyone?
Disaster Movies really bother me!
🧕🙏🙏🙏♥️ the world 👁️👁️👂👂☑️

UNfortunately there`s no option to save...
