I was one of the extras in the bleachers and they filmed the dedication scene around midnight & then the fire trucks came down the street. It was one of the windiest & coldest nights I ever felt and on the corner of California & Kearney Streets there is nothing to break the wind. Everyone was ice cold, from the extras, to the cast, crew and firemen.

If you watched the movie you would know the contractor cut corners with the electrical wiring. They knew it was going to catch fire when the power was turned on.

We may never love like this again Don't stop the flow We can't let go We may never love like this again And touch the sky Now we may try So while we here Let's give up all We listed the dreams inside us And set them free Oh, while we here Let's live a mark There's a candle in the dark It's here to guide us We may never love like this again But through the days Beyond the highs I'll see you Reaching out to hold me I don't know just Where or when Still I'm sure We'll love again, we'll love again We'll love again (we may never love like this again) We'll love again (we may never love like this again) We'll love again (we may never love like this again) We'll love again (we may never love like this again)
It’s not beyond the highs, it’s “ beyond the haze”. It’s also “ Leave a mark “ and not live, and “ give our all “ not give up. I don’t understand as to how this award winning song gets so poorly transcribed online.
This version of "We May Never Love..." appeared on the soundtrack LP and thrillingly uses a full studio orchestra to support Maureen's magnificent singing.
non sapremo mai cosa le è successo dopo il suo spettacolo alla Torre, ma di certo le è stato chiesto solo di cantare ed è stata lasciata davanti al fuoco.
@@ActiveAussie2024 yes I went to see it as a 13 year old when it was released (incredible big screen experience) The deaths of Robert Wagner and Susan Flannery in particular were harrowing to watch. Later that year I ended up even more terrified watching Jaws which was a massive hit (1975 was certainly a vintage year for being scared)
Months after this film an actual fire struck the WTC’s North Tower in February 1975 .. but completely agree 27 years later and under horribly different circumstances
Had the fire not been put out the way it was, then the glass tower likely would’ve collapsed. Also, had the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center not collapsed, both towers would’ve had to be structurally assessed. In the cases of both the Glass and the Twin Towers, they probably would’ve had to be demolished due to the extensive fire and structural damages
@@girlsdrinkfeck had the WTC’s Twin Towers been more robustly built (stronger/thicker floor beams instead of lightweight floor trusses, and a central core made of thick concrete instead of drywall), they would’ve likely stood longer, or even indefinitely and not only would’ve more people escaped and survived, the fires would have been put out. Both Towers suffered corner cutting during construction as did the Glass Tower and there are documentaries on how the Twins were built and how they fell on 9/11
To me, it’s like comparing every real life shark attack ever to not being able to watch “Jaws”. I’ve always thought of TI as a survival/adventure story. Although it doesn’t pull any punches, the film doesn’t revel in watching the victims suffer.

Good Job 👍
Not a deleted scene
They always showed that scene. Even in the TV version.

We may never love like this again
Don't stop the flow
We can't let go
We may never love like this again
And touch the sky
Now we may try
So while we here
Let's give up all
We listed the dreams inside us
And set them free
Oh, while we here
Let's live a mark
There's a candle in the dark
It's here to guide us
We may never love like this again
But through the days
Beyond the highs
I'll see you
Reaching out to hold me
I don't know just
Where or when
Still I'm sure
We'll love again, we'll love again
We'll love again (we may never love like this again)
We'll love again (we may never love like this again)
We'll love again (we may never love like this again)

This is actually really funny. You have this sweet uplifting song and a mayhem and horror video. I’ve never seen such a mismatch in my entire life
Correct. This was actually a horror/action film, it was pretty full on for the mid 70 s.

To be honest,I thought the tower was gonna outright collapse or be demolished afterwards
Maybe at the time.. They "Thought" Of doing a sequel ?? Xd
nah the tower was built in the 70s using strong metal constucts not plastic fixtures and suspended floors like the WTC

The funny part is the studio included this song not realizing that a young composer named John Williams really didn't need help doing the soundtrack
