There are a lot of things to love about music. One of them is you can always find new music. Even a guy with over 12,000 CDs can find music he has never heard of
I love all of your videos BUT I think these are my faves. It's like I'm going into the store myself and just through all the stuff. I miss those days and glad I get to live those days again, through you. 🙂👍
The Starz Colesium Rock would have come home with me one of the records I lost when my house flooded. I got to see them once and got them to sign my Live in america thankfully it was hanging on the wall and the water didn't get to it. St Louis has a record show every 2 months that is always a good place for finding music items.
I went to one of those record shows near me. Mostly vinyl and barely any CDs. I walked in, looked around for 10 minutes, walked out without buying anything.
Been to that show few times, it's fun and some cool items could be found. They don't have many CDs though. Glad you had a nice day hunting for records.
Hey, love your channel and I always get lots of great info when I check your videos out! Glad to find out there are others as obsessed with music as I am!! I think you may have me beat, though!! That Highway Chile album is great!! It's not pronounced "chili" though, it's Child without the "d". I think they took their name from the Hendrix song. They were a Dutch band but Storybook Heroes was originally released on a small label out of Ohio in the U.S. and has 2 or 3 versions with different tracks on each one. The was a CD released around 2010 that gathers all the different tracks together and adds a few live tracks too which is great! The original incarnation of the band did 2 albums and an ep in the 80s. There was a cassette only release called High Noon from '91 (i think) which featured the 80s band on one side & a new version of the band on the other side. They reformed again in early 2000's and eventually had a 2008 release called Keeper of the Faith that was on Mausoleum records originally on CD only, but had a limited vinyl only release a couple years back. Sadly none of their releases where as good as Storybook Heroes (in my opinion) but all them have at least a few good tracks. And the Billy the Kid was decent, but the best thing about it was the cover!! But the lead singer went on to front a fairly obscure prog-power metal band called Kenziner that are excellent. I think they are still around as their last release was 2020.
That Refugee band has Howard Helm on keys from Zon, and drummer Brian Doerner later played in Saga for a little while. Never really heard that band though.
You're gonna smile big when you listen to that Grass Roots album (love all of their stuff!) and hear a version of "She Don't Know Me" before Bon Jovi had a hit with it!
Living in Australia I was so jealous of what you were showing all those metal records and picture discs we don’t get halve that good stuff including that Zon record I want but I doubt I will ever find it here plus the prices I was compèring to AUD dollars we are still move expensive for secondhand vinyl in our shops
I went to a record fair last week here in Birmingham UK 🇬🇧 was so disappointed 😂 the previous fair was so good! But not much to hunt this time, picked up Skid Row I remember you 7” with limited edition tattoo, Poison 7” picture disc until you suffer some fire & ice!
I'm looking for an ac/dc promo album! The cover showed ac/dc money! On the back cover are two pictures from Thunderstruck, two from the Moneytalks clip!
Wow, looks like a fun digging through all of those boxes. How much did they ask for that Maiden boxset? I wonder what Anthony scored as well. Thanks for sharing Brendon!
I've never seen a Weird Al in the wild, but maybe he wasn't popular in Europe. Cool finds! I also defied the cold for a couple of record stores. Gotta say that I much prefer going in the summer.
Wow! A Beatles Butcher cover! Christine Mcvie's beautiful illustration on the cover of Kiln House, Fleetwood Mac. I would have bought the Talking Heads record.
This was loads of fun looking through this stuff with you✌THNX! Edit: that Tommy Bolin Teaser would've come home with me.i see this was a bit underwhelming compared to shows I went to years ago.still had fun looking though🔥
Thanks for the video. As a Godz fan since high school, I’m 64 now, so it’s been a minute. I don’t know how to describe it. I think I was drawn to them because they are an Ohio band and I live in Ohio, so there’s that. Surprised I didn’t know a lot of other people knew about them. Pretty good stuff. Looking forward to some shows myself, but we just don’t have enough in my area. You guys have one every month that would be great.
$20 for a sealed copy of The Rockets "No Ballads"..yes please!! A Detroit/Midwest band with Fantastic guitar player (Jimmy McCarty) & Drummer (Johnny Badanjek) who played with Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels. I had that record and loaned it out ...never to return ☹️....
I’m relatively new to your channel and love it…I know you are a CD guy primarily, but I know you grab vinyl here and there. My question is do you have an area where your records are displayed or are they in boxes or crates?

It’s my pleasure! That’s exactly what I hoped for with making and presenting these videos!

I’ve got that one and the rest of their catalogue on CD. Such a great band and I love the album Coliseum Rock best too!
That looked like a fun day...nice pickups.
It was a blast!
Awesome finds. Brendon, I’m sure that was fun, it sure looked like it. Great to see Anthony in part of the video.
Nice job showing the album and the backside. Some good looking scores there.
I used to do the Second Saturday show in NYC @ 57th st. That was back in the mid 90's. I think I did this one too a couple of times.
I went to one of those record shows near me. Mostly vinyl and barely any CDs. I walked in, looked around for 10 minutes, walked out without buying anything.

Awesome show. The Almighty have been on my want list forever. As always, thanks for sharing this amazing experience.

Cool stuff Brendon! Enjoy your new score!
Thanks Victor!
That Neil Young-Decade promo was cool for $25 if in good shape🔥
That Refugee band has Howard Helm on keys from Zon, and drummer Brian Doerner later played in Saga for a little while. Never really heard that band though.
I own all the Godz, except the new one. I have that Highway Chile.
👍
Your haul looks epic. Can't wait to hear what you think of them.
I haven't been to Wayne in years, I live in SJ now, that is my candy store. LOL
Sounds like it’s time to make a trip back and see what you’ve been missing!
@@BrendonSnyder is the record store in Pompton Plains still on the main drag off of Hamburg Tpk?
You're gonna smile big when you listen to that Grass Roots album (love all of their stuff!) and hear a version of "She Don't Know Me" before Bon Jovi had a hit with it!

The prices seemed pretty reasonable I would have left with a stack!
The almighty are a band that I had forgotten about since the mid 90s
Great band
The Trance album is killer!

Big score with Refugee's "Burning from the Inside Out"!!
Easily one of the best Canadian melodic rock albums ever! 👍🏻
Wow! A Beatles Butcher cover!
Christine Mcvie's beautiful illustration on the cover of Kiln House, Fleetwood Mac.
I would have bought the Talking Heads record.
Might go there this weekend. Did u notice a decent amount of soul/funk and jazz records? Or is it mostly rock?
the prices were quite good brendan - blue cheer for 20 bucks not bad - i paid 40 on discogs plus shipping lol - i was very bitter!!!
I like your videos where you goto a music store but can i make a suggestion? I wish you would talk through the videos. Sometimes i get board lol😊
I talk in the ones that I can but it’s not always an option.
This was loads of fun looking through this stuff with you✌THNX! Edit: that Tommy Bolin Teaser would've come home with me.i see this was a bit underwhelming compared to shows I went to years ago.still had fun looking though🔥
That's cool, I want to find a record show near me!
Brendon that Refugee album is that the same band that had Patrick Moraz in it from Yes and the Moody Blues?
No but it does have Brian Doerner on drums from Helix and currently with Saga.
that The Godz record is sooo gooood!

How much does the average album cost?
It’s all different venders and it depends on the album. But you can find albums from $1 to over $100. As you heard I found and guy selling 3 for $10.
Mistrial for $8 works for me. Lou!!!!
Was there any bootleg live cds at that show?
Tons of them…I’m just not a big fan of boots and and prefer to stick to official albums.
Hello have you heard of the band called Detective
They were on a WKRP episode as a punk band
I’m relatively new to your channel and love it…I know you are a CD guy primarily, but I know you grab vinyl here and there. My question is do you have an area where your records are displayed or are they in boxes or crates?
saw billy the kid open for ted nugent in atlanta years ago. thought the guitar player was schenker because of the blonde hair and flying v
Cool! 👍
Refugee album is a pretty good AOR album.
That Beatles butcher was a bootleg, no? Can’t imagine it would be in the general circulation like that…
Dam a beatles butcher cover?
I didn’t look real close at it but my guess is that it was a repress or bootleg. A real one wouldn’t have been in a bin I could flip through.
"Chile" is short for "Child"...so it is pronounced that way, long "i".
Sorry for talking so much but I’m listening to Rush Hemispheres and Destroyer 666 Unchain the Wolves this morning.
Cool! 👍
