Hardly a miss in all that shooting , some at fairly extended ranges . I'm impressed . I know from watching your videos that you are a capable marksman , so I trust your results when you evaluate a gun ... thanks for your fine work , It's a pleasure watching your channel !
I would have liked to have shot it more but I only had it for a limited time and with ammo being what it is I figured 300 rounds of mixed stuff should be enough to form an opinion. Thanks buddy!
Nice shooting there Buffalo. Impressed the 22lr 1911 reaches those far away targets. Wish I had a range like yours. Do have the same 1911 Colt 22lr. Thanks for your video about it.
I bought this pistol about a month ago from a friend, I shot 1 magazine through it before buying it brought in home cleaned it and put it in the safe. Watching you plink with yours got me itching to shoot mine. Thanks for the video and happy plinking.
just bought one. Walther is the best I now having purchased own three. I've never been happier and thank you especially for the field strip class. Yes, my plug flew across the room. Fortunately my black lab didn't swallow it!
Great video Buffalo. Loved the ride around your property. Beautiful! I had a genuine but "off the grid" gummint model when I was in southeast Asia in 1971/72. I remember those sights were atrocious. They'd make even a grown man cry! So, all things considered, that was some great shootin'. And I can't wait to see the changes that you laid out in the video, and what will come out of them. God bless!
Greetings from Kentucky (McCracken County)...I've had the Walther/Colt Gold Cup version for years. Its a fantastic shooter and a plinker of the first order.
Hi Buffalo, enjoyed your drive on the way to your range by the creek. I remember when you boated there during the flood a couple years ago, Bill/Michigan
Yeah that entire field floods in several feet of water. I am glad you remember that. It is nice to have viewers who have been around for a while and have seen the property progress over time. I appreciate you leaving this comment, made me smile. Thank you.
I own the rail model, what a fantastic item. Having carried and used the 45 acp real Colt on active duty, this Walther/Colt is as close to perfect as I have ever seen. BTW, included with the weapon is a plastic item used to depress the magazine thumb button, makes loading a breeze. Really like your channel.
Just purchase this same 1911 pistol from Buds 4 weeks ago...have put CCI Mini Mags, Winchester 555, Remington Bucket Ammo...this pistol eats any and all...due to fading eyes I needed to replace the sights, wanted to stay with the originals...but....purchased front/rear set from Dawson Precision, the new sights work great...a real joy to shoot...have run 1,200 plus rounds...1 stove pipe...3 FTF....all Remington....I am very happy😎😎😎
Mind if I ask which sight set did you order from Dawson Precision? I am not too familiar with 1911 style, they seem to have couple different 'cuts' for rear sights... Are they adjustable? I have Dawson Precision front sights on my Mark IV and Buckmarks, they are razor sharp and ideal for precision bullseye shooting.
The GI style are hard for me to see as well. I guess they use them so this pistol looks the part. Dawson Precisions are the best out there IMO. Whenever I need better sights I always go to them first. Thanks for the comment.
Michael Doe.... You need to go to Dawson Precision for the sights...they list item under description not a part number...just load the “Walther / Colt 1911 22 lr”...the sights are adjustable for a fixed distance only for windage only....I was at the range yesterday and my front sight fell off...I hadn’t “blued” the threads yet....so I think that when you “set” the sight it’s SET🤨 The sights installed easy...they give you everything you need to install. These sights have greatly improved my accuracy 100% I could not sight the traditional iron sights(though for appearance I would have preferred the originals) Good luck
Back in 1978 I bought a Colt new model ACE and had fun with it for a while then traded it and 2 other pistols for the then very popular S&W 6 inch model 29 with the wood presentation box which I still have. It is still my very favorite pistol :-) In 2005 I inherited a Colt M1991A1 with a Cienner top so I still have some 1911 22LR fun. It's a bit picky though but fun. I should try it now that I have a Crimson Trace grip on it with 22LR's. Hope you had fun wading in the water :-)
Beautiful property. Nice gun. I'm considering purchasing. It looks mechanically better than the GSG version. I'm retired Army from the 1911 generation. I thought about buying a Tisas 1911 in 45 or 9mm. But 22LR is so cheap. And this 1911 22 is less expensive than a Tisas too.
Dude you had me laughing out loud talking about finding ammo under your truck seat and in the laundry. One day I had to dig out about a dozen brass cases out of my washing machine. I’m sure a service guy will find more in a few years.
Got the version of this with the accessory rail over a month ago and haven't got to shoot it yet. The reviews sure give me hope that mine will perform as well.
My trip to the range requires traveling though soul crushing traffic and ends with paying tons of money for range time. You’re very lucky if that’s your land!
Very nice pistol! I also love your land, good stuff! Since you're a BCA guy like me, I figured you might check out their optics that they recently set up on the website. Gotta love all 1911's! God bless
Nice lookin piece of property ya got there Buff. You flatlanders got it made for shootin ranges. Most all mine is hills. I can still shoot out back so I cant complain.
What a fantastic property you have there, Buffalo! Wish I had something like that to set up a range on, with a creek running through, it's just beautiful. Now I just yesterday got the same exact model that you're shooting so dang well there, and I'm hoping mine will settle down after I put a couple more boxes of ammo through it, but I'm all over an 8" target at 15 yards. Maybe it's me, I am having a hard time making out the sight picture: it's black on black, and the lights are mostly on the target & not so much in the shooting booth at the indoor range I go to. I want to put a bit of whiteout on the front & maybe outline the rear sight, but I'm hesitating because this little gun is just so pretty the way it is! So much fun to shoot, too. Thanks for all your comments, and I'm glad I found your channel!
This man is a marksman with that pistol! Impressive! I just put one of these guns on lay-away ( yeah I know, but I'm a poor restaurant worker who likes guns, so lay-away is my best option) and I can't wait to pick it up in a couple of weeks.
I know how that is. There are not any shops in my area that do layaway anymore due to covid and the supply shortages. I bought one a few days ago and the only thing I had to immediately change were the grips. Even though they are rubber, that checker pattern is too pointy. If you have the same comfort issue, magpul grips are like $20 and worth it.
I have an Original Colt Ace Conversion Kit I use on my Auto Ordinance 1911A1. i just remove slide barrel and spring and replace them with the Kit now it's a .22LR or be put back to .45ACP it uses the same Magazines you are using there... very nice shooting.
I own the GSG 1911 and I had to replace the firing pin and slide stop as they both broke first 500 rds all I shot was Winchester red box HV . I then replaced everything with hardened parts...thousands of rounds latter it runs like a champ!
love the river shooting.. You looked like a navy seal on an extraction mission.. Always enjoy your videos.. specially on a Saturday morning sipping my coffee..
Buffalo! Where ya been? I haven't seen anything from you in a bit. Hope all is well. I see you have just got it terrible at the moment. Have to cruise around that beautiful property, throw some supplements at the critters. Hop in the nice cool creek just to be attacked by all those amphibious land claybirds. Sure is a good thing you happened to have that pistol along.😉😂👍 good to hear from you brother! Nice gun. Thanks.
@@tootall5559 could be. I was getting all buffalo's stuff for a long time. Then like i said, haven't heard anything for a month or so. Thanks. Keep your powder dry, and your eyes along the skyline.👍
I post at least one video a week. I hate that people aren't getting their notifications. Thanks for the comment, it was fun shooting those clay birds while they were still on the ground for once! LOL
Excellent video. I saw this gun recently and liked it. I probably get it to go along with my S&W Victory. Thanks for the great video and great shooting.
Looks nice and well built for one like that. Bench is looking good and sturdy. Not all guns fail. Havent you heard about the new Glock 22 pistols.... LOL.
You are a good shot 🤔...I am planing on going for the rail...first gun ever for this 55 yrs old guy and just want to have fun while learning to shoot...live in québec so it will be 10rounds mags 💁♂️
Nice little popgun. I think it would have been a little more tasteful with just some laser scribing instead of the white billboard lettering, but it's a Colt. People will buy and love it :) Great video as always Buffalo! Nothing like a crik walk while shooting clays with a 22. I love the fresh content! You have helped me pass many an hour of boredom, or while cleaning my guns.
Buffalo's Outdoors thanks Buffalo! My problem right now is not enough time unfortunately. Doing two peoples work at my job... never enough time for range time too, but I need to make more time.

I have only had my 1911 Colt .22 for a week, and so far, I love it !! But I have found it to be a little finicky with Remington Golden Bullet H.P. ammo. Favorite so far appears to be Federal AutomMatch, and CCI Mini-Mags, but it is still early in the evaluation period !!
You need to tell Steve to come to my range. He can build me a bench and bring some guns. I will even put him on camera to be watched by tens of people😂👍🇺🇸
